Chapter 25: Behold My Power

Jake wasn’t sure how long the competition had been running along for, though the clock on the large stand next to one of the surveyor tents read that it had been thirty minutes, he somehow felt cheated. It had felt like a lifetime.

The minute the fighting had begun Abigail had surrounded both her and her friend in a vortex of fast moving wind- no one would get in or out any time soon unless she would release it. When members of the other elemental groups had tried throwing things like earth at her, it was just sucked into the vortex and formed to reinforce its shield. So they moved on to other prey.

Jake dodged where he could, and fought his way out of others. He fought against members with systems like Abigail, who instead used it on the offense- and others he had never seen before or could even entirely comprehend.
