The new beginning

Li Wei aka Phantom Soul also knowned as Emperor of the Masses in the game that was said to change the humanity view of the world <Aegis Century> because of the facts he was the only player in the top 20 list of professional player that grew up in an ordinary household. He fought tooth and nail to climb throught the hardship to be where he is now. Just as he was preparing to log in the game to prepare for the final of the 8th World Championship, to claim the number 1 spot that he had been longing for the whole time he was playing the game only to receive a phone call that would break his heart.

"hello? Li Wei?"

"yes. Whats up man?"

"lose the match or you will never see your sister anymore."

"why are doing this? I have never treat you badly before this."

"shut up!! My ambition cant be achieve by following you. I let you talk to your sister so you can decide on you own."

As heartbroken Li Wei is, he could never abandon the only one family member he has left after their parent died more than 10 years ago.

Log in to the game only to see the arena full on spectator, Li Wei just could not get excitement of the crowd as he knew he have no chance to win at all. Li Wei walk in to the arena listening to final countdown of the final match only to see his opponent grinning to his face. Zhong Jun aka Darkness was the champion of tournament for the last 2 edition the 6th and the 7th. He was the guild leader of the current number one guild in the game <Apocalypse>. Zhong Jun was said to be the king in and out of the game that no one can afford to offend. Resign to fate, the result of the final match is as anyone could predict. Li Wei lose the final and when he was just about to log out to save his sister, Zhong Jun came closer to his ear and wisper (after you die, i'll be taking a good care of you sister so don't worry..hehe).

Right after he heard that, Li Wei felt a sharp pain to his chest and immediately sent out of the game to see his chest is soaked with blood coming out from the bullet hole in his chest. In front of him was the man that called him before the match, grinning from ear to ear. Zhao Bao is someone that he once called brother had betrayed him for god know what the reason is. Unable to utter a single word out of his mouth, Li Wei close his eye and drops of tear could be seen from the corner of his eyes. He could imagine the horrible fate of his sister once he died. Unable swallow the grieve, all he wish is to be given a second chance at life to repay back everything that has happen all this years.

Closing his eyes and accepting the fate of someone who is betrayed only to find the pain on his chest suddenly vanished without a trace, Li Wei open his eyes and become bewildered as he stare at the ceiling that look the same as his old room of his old house that his parent leave behind after their death. He just could not get his mind of it. All of those years were just a dream? Or those are real and that he have been given a second chance and reincarnated so he could trash all those bastard that make him and his sister after the death of their parent. Looking at the calendar on his bedside, it is now sunday 20/1/2030 and just 10 days away from the launch of the game <Aegis Century>. His birthday will also be on the day tomorrow where he will turn 17 years old and one of his schoolmate will give a standard game helmet as a present. With all the knowledge of the game that he had accumulated for all those years of playing, he swear that he will give the best to his sister and the worse to his enemy. All he need to do now is to list all the important point in the game so that he could use it to the reap the best reward possible. He also need to improve the quality of his body by exercising as the <Aegis Century> is a game where powerfull physique gain more advantage in the game where it will enhance the gaming experience.

Finishing his thought on all of the thing needed to be done, Li Wei sprang to action with all his might to finish the task at hand before dinner time. Few hours later, Li Wei walk out of his room to see his younger sister Jingjing preparing the dinner table with the most ordinary dishes that lacks nutrient that a growing teenager like his sister need. Looking at his sister who is only 15 years old that is deligently preparing for dinner, Li Wei silently swear that in this life he will give the best treatment to his sister.

As for Jingjing seeing his brother coming out of his room, she shot a grumpy yet adorable look at him as she glare at her brother.

"Brother, why are you only coming out now. Have you finish all your homework because in case that you forget tomorrow is monday and it is a schoolday. Well whatever, just come and eat first and then finish the rest of the work."

"Yes milady queen, your wish is my command. I have finish everything so dont worry about your brother, oh my beloved sister."

"Okay then. Lets just finish dinner first, i still have other thing to do."

Seeing his sister again like this bring back the memories. Tomorrow is his birthday and his sister will be making a cake for him, just thinking about it put a silly smile on his face. If not for this reincarnation of his, his sister cake would be best present for him this year. As both brother and sister enjoy dinner and chat of what school is like, the night gradually descend. As Li Wei lie down on his bed thinking on what tomorrow would bring, he slowly close his eyes as he looking forward in this new beginning.
