CHAPTER START---

Sitting in the dining hall of the orphanage Jin can be seen reading a book of Konoha history he found in the orphanage library. Wearing his casual clothes, this is quite a strange scene for everyone that walked in to see. A young boy only 4 years old sitting at a table reading a thick textbook while wearing a jet black blindfold over his eyes. It was as thick as a standard headband and appeared to be torn from a black piece of cloth and tied around his head to cover his eyes.

Beneath the cloth, his Rinnegan are active allowing him to see as if his vision was in no way obscured. As he waits for the Matron to arrive and tell her his eyes don't need any kind of doctor inspecting them he chews on some cereal to fill his belly.

"Morning Jin, uh..." The woman greets happily before freezing at the sight of the blindfold.

"Morning, oh right, this way the light doesn't hurt my eyes. I can see fine through it so I don't need to go see a doctor anymore. We don't have to spend the money," he cheerily answers her unaired question.

"Um, I don't think that's a good idea Jin, we should go see a doctor." The woman responds with a somewhat confused tone.

"This is more comfortable for me, if it starts to hurt again I'll tell you I promise matron," he casually replies flashing her his best smile.

"Mmm, alright fine. But, the moment it doesn't work you have to tell me ok." The woman demanded.

"I promise!" he happily replied. "I'm gonna read outside, this room is about to get loud."

"Why are you reading a history book?" the woman questioned curiously. A 4-year-old taking an interest in history truly was strange.

"I'm going to be the Hokage, that's why I'm learning what the other Kage did!" He replies a little louder than it would be polite to, drawing the attention of everyone in the dining hall.

"Awe that's great, well alright just put it back in the library when you're done ok."

"Of course," he replied with a smile before walking outside.

The aforementioned library being a single room filled with donated books to the orphanage, mostly books about children's stories but also a few useful books such as geography and history of this world.

Making his way to the large backyard of the orphanage, Jin leaned against a tree as he sat on the soft grass. With a textbook in his hand he barely even looked at the pages. All his efforts currently focused on the little rocks in his right hand, focusing on them trying his best to make them move with his Rinnegan abilities.

After almost a half-hour with no results, he decides to relax his mind a make a proper plan for his future.

'Ok, so get sage chakra and kill naruto for the fox when I'm older maybe, hmmm. Who else should I save? Jiraiya was fun but if he sees Pain's abilities he might connect me so I should let him go to the rain if I don't need sage mode. Asuma would get me closer to Shikamaru which is good. If I'm going to be Hokage I need smart people who trust me. Well, I guess Asuma is the only person who saving him actually gets me something. Now for the fun part, who to kill,' completely oblivious to the smile forming on his face, Jin continued to plot.

'I need Sasuke to go with Orochimaru so I have more chances to take his senjutsu in case I need more. I'll just kill him when I have enough of that. Killing Sakura will make naruto go berserk so I have to either be stronger than Nagato to deal with the fox or make sure he doesn't know it's me. Either way, I need her alive so she asks naruto to go chase Sasuke. Kabuto has to die first chance I get AFTER Tsunade comes to the village, ideally before that but I don't know how that will affect the timeline, Tsunade is the perfect Hokage for me to make changes with since she's too busy getting drunk to notice me.' He wears a sly gin as he thinks this to himself. Completely oblivious of the world around him.

"First thing's first, I need to get a certain blonde dumbass to be close enough with me to teach me the Multi shadow clone jutsu when he steals the scroll," sigh, "The things I have to suffer through just go climb to the top of a world built around someone else."

'Befriend the moron, get the jutsu, sap his and Sasuke's chakra. Kill Sasuke after he kills Itachi. Kill pain and destroy his rinnegan, become the hero. Then eventually I'll become Hokage. Yeah, that sounds good' he reviewed one last time before getting up from his seat and walking toward the village.

"Time for a stakeout," he says as he makes his way to a nearby park. With what little Ryo the orphanage gives as a monthly allowance in his pocket he searches for his first target.

---Konohagakure Park,4 PM...

Jin arrived at this place at barely 8 AM and has not abandoned his post since. Patiently waiting for his target to arrive he sits on a branch of a tree. A pebble in his hand just barely rising and falling, sweat can be seen on his body from the exertion of moving such a small object with his Rinnegan.

'Nagato made this shit look easy,' he thinks to himself as he keeps his eyes wide open for his target.

Eventually, night falls and he has to head back to the orphanage, still carrying the pack of cookies in his pocket.

As he makes his way to the orphanage to turn in for the night he passes by Ichiraku Ramen shop. A location he wished oh so much he could walk into and buy a bowl from, but he didn't have the money to spare. Everything he had was already committed to his plan.

After taking a look to make sure nobody important was there he quickly made his way to his new home and prepared to do the same thing all over again the next day.

---23 Days later, Ichiraku Ramen Shop....

Jin can be seen standing opposite the ramen shop in an alley. He sees a young boy, the same age as him holding a few dollars in his hand, standing in the pouring rain as he looks longingly at the ramen shop. Clearly desperate for a hot meal the boy is none other than Mr.Talk No Jutsu himself, Naruto Uzumaki.

As he waits patiently for Naruto to enter the shop and receive his famous lifetime coupon, Jin decides to take the first step in his journey to the very top of the village.

Walking into the shop he greets everyone with a simple "Goodnight"(A/N English is my main language get over it) and takes a seat beside the young Jinchuriki.

"Hi, can I have one pork ramen please," he calls out to the man behind to counter.

"Coming right up," the man says before moving to make the dish.

As he collects his dish and pays the kind man he takes a look over at Naruto. not quite sure how to approach starting a conversation with the child, he notices Naruto is staring down at the empty bowl as he holds his stomach. The precise moment he was waiting for. Casually sliding his bowl against Naruto's until his full pork ramen was in front of Naruto, he wordlessly takes out more money and calls out, "One more pork ramen please!"

Shocked by this Naruto looks at the bowl for a while, unsure if to trust it or not.

"Hey if you leave it there it'll get cold, don't waste food," Jin says in a completely matter-of-fact way as if he did not know what he had just done.

"T-Thank you!" Naruto does a completely dramatic bow to Jin before digging into the food. Even as he eats one can see the emotion in his eyes.

"The orphanage gives me enough for maybe 2 bowls a weak from here so, this time every week I'll be here, if you're hungry just come find me ok," Jin says as he doesn't look up from his bowl.

As his words flow through the air, the slurping from the blonde in the seat next to him comes to a sudden stop. As he looks to his right he sees naruto looking at him with tears in his eyes.

"What?" Jin asks, faking confusion the best he can.

"You don't hate me?" Naruto asks in complete disbelief, on this day he has already met 2 people who not only don't have him but gave him food.

"Why would I hate you, you're just a kid."

As those words ring out small tears begin to flow down Naruto's cheeks as a bright smile takes over his face. Today the boy finally has a friend, to his knowledge.

"I spend most of my time reading in the park if you even need to find me ok, what's your name?"

"I'm NARUTO UZUMAKI!" the boy yelled at his new friend, clearly very excited.

"Loud, well I'm Jin, Jin Satsujin. Here take these, I need to get going to the orphanage or the Matron is gonna be mad, I'll see you around Naruto," Jin takes out the pack of cookies from his pocket and hands it to naruto. A simple gesture that he knows will mean the world to the affection-starved boy.

As Naruto stares at the cookies in his hand. He isn't sure how to react to this experience, he finally has a friend.

Meanwhile, on a nearby rooftop, a man in a dog mask with silver hair rushes off to the Hokage office to report this encounter.
