CHAPTER START---

"Ugh, my head."

The young boy slowly opened his eyes, the darkroom changing constantly from pitch dark with only a streak of light from the window to dull greys. Sitting up on the bed he immediately lifted the sheets and checked the contents of his pants.

"Oh thank god, I forgot to make sure I'd keep that," the boy whispered.

Looking to his left and right he saw rows upon rows of beds with sleeping boys in them. Taking a deep breath he looks around to ensure that nobody is awake before creeping out of his bed. Following his instincts, he makes his way to the communal male washroom and looks into a mirror.

"Huh, I look just like my four-year-old self," the young man looks at himself in the mirror. His face still the slim Asian face he had in his precious life with the light brown eyes he always had...

"WHAT THE HELL!" he yells out, quickly rushing to the door and ensuring he didn't wake anyone before rushing back to the mirror.

"This is bullshit," he angrily mutters as he parts his eyelids with his fingers to get a better view of his eyes.

"The red hair is new, Uzumaki heritage probably so I have chakra, but where the fuck are the Rinnegan?!" he asks angrily to nobody in particular.

'Ok, settle down Jin, a quick review. Died. Check. Got to choose a world. Check. Konoha. Che... Fuck'

Moving as if something stung him the boy quickly rushed down the hallways of the building looking for a window. Eventually, upon finding a proper viewpoint, he froze in place.

'Huh, never thought I'd see the stone faces in my lifetime, well I guess it isn't in my lifetime huh, well I'm here so time to figure out what the fuck is with my eyes.'

The child stops for a moment and absorbs the reality of his new situation, spending a proper 10 minutes staring out at his dream home before sauntering back to the bathroom in high spirits. Now staring into the mirror once more he glares at his own eyes.

"Ok, so he lied then, he said I'd have Rinnegan so why aren't they here?" Questioning himself he feels conflicted. As if he won the lottery and was taxed a million dollars. Thoroughly grateful for a new life but a bit miffed at the idea of not having what he was promised.

Focusing on his eyes for a bit more he grimly scowls before closing them and focusing on his own body.

He stood there for almost an hour, intent on finding his new toy before he moved from his spot. As his legs were beginning to tire, he suddenly felt it. A deep well of energy within himself, he felt for it some more before envisioning a hand reaching out and grasping it.

As a wave of energy passes through his body, his chakra now awake, the young man opens his eyes.

"WHAT!" He yelled out in shock. Where once his brown eyes stared back at him, now his Rinnegan hold their place.

"Huh, I can't even feel it. That means it won't just kill me for having it out like Kakashi's Sharingan, but I wonder how st----" Shock once more overtook his features, completely replacing the wonder on his face. He watched in a mix of horror and astonishment as his eyes reverted to the simple brown eyes.

"That's, what? I've never seen Nagato do that, I didn't know it can do that. Are my Rinnegan special maybe, yeah that's probably it," he says as he focuses on his eyes once more, staring in amazement as the spirals spread out from his pupils and form the Rinnegan once more.

"It doesn't even feel like it's there, but damn the world looks so much clearer now, shades maybe or goggles to hide them?" He ponders on this question for a moment before deciding against it.

"It's best I use some kind of blindfold, how to explain it though. Maybe just some, light sensitivity? Yeah, that should work." smiling to himself in the mirror he deactivates his eyes once more before activating them once more, truly acting like a child with a new toy.

"Jin why are you up? Were you the one yelling?" A voice asked from his left toward the door.

Turning to face the female voice with his Rinnegan off he took in the sight of the middle-aged woman before him, a plain-looking woman who gave him a familiar feeling, the result of his existence being fully fused with this world.

"I'm sorry matron, it's just. My eyes hurt, the light is too much, it kept hurting," he says with a bit of distress in his voice, allowing his childish body and voice to sell the story.

"Oh, we can go see a doctor tomorrow then, maybe you need glasses, you should get some sleep Jin and we'll go first thing tomorrow," the woman says, truly a caring person, blissfully unaware of who she was conversing with.

"Alright I'll wash up and try to get some sleep, goodnight matron," he says as the woman goes back to her room.

'I've got a lot of planning to do,' Sigh 'I'll get in bed first.'

Crawling into his bed with a smile on his face, Jin began mentally planning his conquests, all in his head because according to him. "If it's in your head it's harder to steal than a book."

'Alright, Jin, small recap. Naruto ends with him beating pain and I made sure to ask for everything Nagato started with. I'm 4 now so I've got 12 ish years to get ready for this world's final boss. I need either the nine tails or sage more. Hmmm. If I kill him I have no idea how to seal the Kyuubi aside from that statue that I definitely can't use because Pain will hunt me down. I don't have any seals because the reaper seal would kill me. Stack that with Naruto probably always having either one or more world-class ninja glued to him because he's the MC and taking the fox isn't an option. FUCK. Ok, the next best thing is sage mode, either ask Jiraiya to teach me... if I can somehow justify a way to say I learned about it.'

"Fuck this is so hard to plan," he muttered to himself as he scrunched his face in distress.

'C'mon you picked this world because might makes right, just figure it out, I need sage mode or the fox....or, both?' Suddenly he had a spark of genius.

"Don't need the whole thing, just a taste and I can work from there."

'If I just use the chakra absorbing barrier from the Rinnegan whenever the curse mark, Kyubi cloak, or fucking Gamabunta show up I just need some chakra. If I get a taste of sage chakra I should be able to feel it naturally after and just train myself, curse mark is also the same chakra. And the Kyubi, hahaha well that's free real estate,'

"Hahahaha this is gonna be easy!" Jin laughs to himself as he made his plans.

"Jin shut up!" one of his bunkmates yelled at him as they heard him laughing from under Jin's blanket.

"Sorry," Jin mutters. Smiling to himself as he goes to bed, his first peaceful night in a new world.
