Speculations

As I was done with the fiend bull goons I noticed that elder Tom has not left yet even after the crowd has dispersed but as soon as the goons left without even thanking me elder Tom approached me, I can see that the goons are in hurry trying to leave the village premises asap as their life was hanging in balance but still a simple two syllable Thank you would have been enough. at first I thought elder Tom stayed behind to make sure the goons left without causing any further trouble to the villagers , by villagers I mean myself but after hearing what elder Tom was about to say I came to know that he wasn't here to make sure that the goons left without creating more trouble but to make sure that I knew I owned him a favor.

" HA HA HA little Doctor Sam since you are out of harm's way now I will take my leave but before I go I would like to make a appointment with you for tonight , I will bring my wife's special unideer steak you will love it " said elder Tom.

guess nobody does anything these days without expecting something in return , but what does elder Tom want from original Sam I mean myself.

" You do not have to go through all that trouble elder Tom , please come any time you feel like after all I am the village doctor. " I replied with a fake gentle smile

" No trouble no trouble , the pleasure is all mine . okay now the old man will make himself scarce please carry on with your young people business. HA HA " elder Tom laughed as he turned towards the ex-Inn servants and said " looks like you both are unemployed it so happens that the slaughter house needs new cleaners if you people are up to it you can start from today "

hearing elder Tom offer them jobs at the slaughter house the ex-Inn servants were in cloud nine as the employees at slaughter house would get to take some amount of purple horn rabbit meat and it's horn powder home with them as incentives as this products were something a mortal servants salary could buy and if lucky enough they could make a break through in cultivation using these resources. so they got on their knees and thanked elder Tom again and again , elder Tom did not seemed to be bothered by their actions he stood there looking aloof.

" oh , doctor Sam do not forget the appointment tonight. " reminded elder Tom before leaving towards the slaughter house with his newly hired slaughter house janitors following behind him.

hearing elder Tom remind me once again about his 'Doctors' appointment with me tonight I felt chills on my back ' I should make sure uncle Aaron is present during this appointment , I don't know which team this elder Tom bats for.' I thought to myself , I am not over reacting who brings dinner to 'Doctors' appointment I am just being on the safer side.

speaking of uncle Aaron did he not say that he will be bring unideers meat for dinner tonight , ah .. there is still the barbecued three legged chicken that Jasmine brought earlier and now elder Tom is bringing unideers steak ... . . I will just invite fatty Joe as he is really against letting good food go to waste and having another person there would be better considering elder Tom's 'Doctors' appointment.

" oh being village doctor is really a reputable and influential job I envy you Sammy . we both are of same age but you get respectfully greeted and also get to have dinner with slaughter warden Tom but me I bet elder Tom didn't even notice me .. . and here I thought I was the village's genius born once in a thousand years .. . HA HA HA " said Joey trying to hide his embarrassment by self mockery , really this fatty has low self-esteem reminds me of myself before rebirth.

" fatty do not self pity your self , you are still the village's genius born once in a thousand years . look you became a 1st level Ki Disciple by the age of 7 and 2 nd level Ki Disciple by the age of 8 In my books you are a genius what if you are having dry spell lately .. . " I encouraged fatty Joe

" Dry spell more like Drought .. " retorted Joey

" do not think for a second that you can escape from what happened earlier by changing the topic to your self pity , tell me why you are eating in the Inn for half a year now do your mother or grandfather know about this , I bet they will kill you if the knew that the precious son/grandson of the ex/current village head chef is eating at a third rate Inn. " I said.

I know how freaky and twisted Joey's mother and grandfather can get when their precious son/grandson eats outside of their cooking , apparently all hell broke loose once when Joey had lunch at original Sam's place.

" Yes they know .. . Not here let's go to your place .. . I will explain once we get their. " said Joey avoiding my eyes clearly he was embarrassed and hiding something. understanding fatty Joey's predicament I did not ask any further questions and we both headed towards original Sam's home.

as we passed Paul's Inn , Paul Jr came out of the Inn and glared at our backs as he shouted

" where are you guys going first pay up your debt , you think I will need those good for nothing goons for taking care of you guys get back here. "

Paul Jr was right to threaten me and fatty , even though he was a luscious and scumbag young master he still had a 3rd level Ki Disciple cultivation which came with his age and rich resources but not due to his talent or hardwork.

hearing Paul Jr we stopped and turned to face him , I was really getting annoyed now so I impatiently said

" I told you already my uncle's debt my uncle will pay. now just scram before you piss me off any more. "

hearing my words Paul Jr felt insulted and became jumpy as he threatened

" how dare you mere mortal ask this young master to scram it seems like you forgot your place Like in old days. let me jolt your memories "

Paul Jr was one of the older kids who bullied around original Sam before sam became village doctor. you would think that being bullied around by Paul Jr and other kids would leave resentment in original Sam's memories but there was none , come to think of it original Sam was maturer then the kids his age due to his mutated soul. as Paul came forward in a dramatic way with threatening gaze and crackling his knuckles , Joey came in front of me and said

" Paul you really think you can bet us don't you , even though you are 3rd level Ki Disciple do you think you are stronger then the slaughter warden huh.. . "

" so what if slaughter warden is stronger than me he is one of the three village elders , do you think he has nothing better than being a bodyguard to a mere mortal . . . don't overestimate your worth then it is you beggars " jeered Paul Jr looking at me.

" oh really now , Slaughter Warden himself came to Sam's rescue rather than sending some of his lackeys what do you think about this .. . " Joey questioned with a heckling tone.

I could not use elder Tom's name because he clearly stated that he helped me because he needed something from me. I already owned him for saving my life and I did not want to add more debt in his books under name by using his name to save my ass, not before knowing what elder Tom wants from me. not that I can't beat Paul Jr I just choose not to and we all know why. but what Joey was doing was different he wasn't using elder Tom's name he was just speculating the facts which took place out there even though these facts were little twisted in our favor.

Paul Jr did not fall for Joey's speculations because he thought that elder Tom was just passing by and intertwined because of the fiend bull goons , every body knows that elder Tom hates nothing more than Fiend Bull people if not that elder Tom wouldn't care for this mere mortal doctor.

" oh you do not need to believe me elder Tom just hired the two servants you fired at the slaughter house under Sam's referral. " said fatty seeing Paul Jr still not convinced and added that " Sammy is really lucky he will get to eat elder Tom's wife's homemade unideers steak at their doctors appointment tonight ah! .. . my mouths watering with saliva just imagining it . "

fatty Joe what are you spouting , ' my mouths watering with saliva just imagining .. . elder Tom's .. . Doctors appointment .. . with Sammy .. . tonight ' people hearing this will get the wrong idea censor your mouth fatty.

when Paul Jr heard fatty Joe's nonsense to him it seemed like elder Tom was trying to curry my favor so he hesitated a little and then said

" let me see how many days you will hide behind elder Tom's name humph!. don't think you can save Jasmine from her fate, young master will definitely not leave her be huh! just you wait. " after finishing with his threats Paul Jr turned around and left.

" let the dog bark for now little Sammy do not take his threats to heart haven't you heard that barking dogs do not bite. come let's be on our merry way. " said Joey consoling me.
