Arsen vs Goblin Sorcerer II

Arsen took advantage of the moment when the remaining goblins and corrupted animals were preoccupied with roaming inside the forest. He also believed that he didn't have to kill the corrupted animals since they could return to their original state once he eliminated the goblin sorcerer.

If the corrupted animals tried to attack him, he would have no choice but to fight back in self-defense. After all, his survival was at stake. However, Arsen knew that his health, power, and defense levels were not particularly high, and he doubted that he could withstand the onslaught of their numbers. Without a strategic advantage, he knew that his chances of survival were slim.

Arsen cautiously approached the Goblin Sorcerer, keeping his guard up and remaining alert for any sudden movements. In a situation like this, even the smallest mistake could prove fatal, and Arsen knew that one misstep could cost him his life. With so much at stake, he needed to proceed with utmost caution and precision

Arsen tightly gripped his dagger with one hand, his mind focused on the task at hand. He knew that the Goblin Sorcerer was no ordinary monster. As a Sorcerer, it possessed a level of cunning and intelligence that set it apart from the other monsters in the forest. Despite Arsen's own abilities as an assassin, the Goblin had already sensed his presence as soon as he had entered its domain. This could have been due to the Goblin's keen senses or perhaps the difference in their levels.

"How a mere human intervened in the sacred ritual?! You must die!"

The monster's voice resounded throughout the area as if it were emanating from beneath the ground. If an ordinary person were to hear it, they would likely shiver in fear. Furthermore, the goblin's voice was producing a sound that could potentially rupture their eardrums.

Feeling intimidated, Arsen instinctively took two steps back before turning to face the monster once more. He had no desire to engage with these creatures, especially since he knew the goblin was likely up to his usual mischief. Arsen wisely chose not to respond, aware that the goblin was probably up to something again.

Arsen's intuition was spot on, as his eyes were suddenly met with a gleaming violet light. Other than the moonlight, there was no other source of light in the vicinity, so it was impossible not to notice it.

Suddenly, a dark violet magic array appeared above the monster, measuring one meter in radius. It emanated a powerful force that caused the nearby bushes and leaves to sway and dance.

Eventually, the goblin sorcerer's magic staff released five rounded magical balls that had the same size as a tennis ball. Not only that but there was also crackling energy circulating in each magic ball, showing how this attack could be destructive.

As he saw it, his eyes widened. Despite being at a distance, he could feel the pressure emanating from it. Without a second thought, Arsen immediately moved his feet, putting as much distance between himself and the source of the pressure as possible.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

He clicked his tongue. "Tch! I need to dodge those attacks, or else I'll die here," he added.

Arsen was well aware that his health and defense powers were not high enough to withstand those attacks. He knew he wouldn't survive if they hit him directly.

As the monster completed its spell, there was a slight improvement in the surroundings. However, the strong energy that had gathered the wind in one direction lingered. Suddenly, the monster swung its staff toward the same spot with lightning speed, causing a chill to run down Arsen's spine. What would happen next? The tension in the air was palpable.

Bang!

Without warning, the monster released a violet energy ball that shot towards Arsen at lightning speed. It was so fast that Arsen thought it was a bullet. Reacting quickly, he nimbly ran and changed his trajectory to avoid it. The energy ball missed its target and hit the ground with a deafening explosion, sending shockwaves across the area. Arsen's heart raced with adrenaline as he realized just how close he had come to disaster. The monster was not holding back.

Boom!

The explosion hit the ground with such force that rocks were sent flying in every direction, leaving a gaping hole in its wake. Arsen gulped, feeling a wave of shock wash over him as he blinked his eyes to adjust to the sudden brightness. The monster's power was immense, and the destruction it caused was undeniable. As he gazed upon the deep hole that had been created, Arsen knew that he had to be even more cautious if he hoped to survive this encounter.

As Arsen watched the aftermath of the explosion, he was struck with the realization that this was no laughing matter. He couldn't shake the vivid image of his body being ripped to shreds had he not dodged the monster's attack. The thought made his stomach churn, and he felt a cold sweat break out on his skin.

The skill, Void Explosion, was notorious for its destructive power. As soon as it made contact with its target, an explosive blast was unleashed. The impact would create a deafening roar that would echo throughout the area, and the ensuing explosion would last for one or two seconds, devastating everything in its path. But the true terror of the skill lay in what came next. The black hole-like energy of the Void Explosion would start to absorb everything in the vicinity, including any objects that had been caught in the blast.

What should I do? This question echoed inside his head. The goblin sorcerer seemed to have no intention of giving him an opening to get closer, and with each passing moment, Arsen could feel the weight of the situation bearing down on him. He bit the bottom of his lip in frustration, his mind racing as he tried to come up with a plan. For now, all he could do was keep dodging the attacks and hope that an opportunity would present itself.

Despite the chaos of the battle, Arsen's sharp eyes didn't miss a thing. He watched in horror as the Void Explosion skill caused trees and rocks to be absorbed into the black hole-like vortex, disappearing from the game entirely. The power of the skill was staggering, and Arsen knew he had to be careful not to get caught in its pull. With every passing second, the situation grew more dire, and Arsen couldn't help but wonder if he had what it took to come out of this battle alive.

"Hahaha! Planning on running like a rat for the entire battle, are you?" The Goblin Sorcerer's laughter echoed through the forest, taunting Arsen. But as quickly as he had started laughing, he grew serious once again. "You disrupted our dark ritual, human. Because of that, we have to wait for another full moon before we can perform it again. And for that, I'll make sure to take your life and the lives of every human that dares to enter this forest." The Goblin snickered, his lips curling in a menacing grin as he licked them hungrily.

Well, Arsen didn't mind if this goblin killed players, but the situation would be different if it killed NPCs. As he understood it, once NPCs died in this world, they died permanently, unlike players who could use their monster cores or wait for a specific time to revive their characters. If that was the case, he knew he had to do everything in his power to kill this monster.

Bang!

The last magic ball landed on the ground, leaving five deep holes scattered throughout the area. It was evident that the Goblin Sorcerer was unhappy with this outcome, as he had believed the five Void Explosion balls would be enough to obliterate the human from existence.

"As a lowly human, I didn't expect that you possess such keen senses and speed to evade my attack. However, our game ends here; I must kill you," the Goblin said in a deep tone. It then proceeded to write runes in the air with its magic staff.

Suddenly, another magic array appeared above the aura, containing the ancient runes created by the goblin. This time, the magic array was two, no, three times larger than the first one. Three magic arrays appeared on the goblin: one above its head, and the remaining two on each shoulder.

Aero Push!

As soon as the monster announced the name of its skill, everything in the area began to shake. Arsen could hear the sound of metal vibrating, specifically the weapons gathered in the camp. Within a mere second, all of the weapons - knives, spears, arrows, swords, and stones - were elevated and suspended in the air.

If his intuition was correct, there were 40 objects elevating in the air and pointing towards Arsen. He couldn't see any way to dodge them, no matter how he looked at the situation.

"Let's see if you can still dodge these. Show me what you got! Hahahaha!"

Thanks for reading I hope you like it :)
