11. Mission sounds cool

Two days later ~

Luna was waiting patiently for airplane to land in City S. She would occasionally glance outside the window. The plane landed and Luna stepped in city S. City S was very beautiful. It had huge trees spreading their canopy over roads and houses. Luna booked a cab and hurried to the hotel where she is staying.

"Miss. Luna Everson, can you please check my booking and give me room keys?" Luna asked the receptionist.

"Miss. Luna... Ohh yeah... Miss Luna. Mr. Black made a booking on your name. This is your premium vip room's keys. He is waiting for you in room next to yours." The receptionist said with a forced smile.

Luna ignored her, took the keys and settled in her room. After getting fresh, she went to Black's room. He was sitting on couch minding his business. As Luna entered his room, he glanced at her gracefully. His prominent features were so perfect that anyone can get attracted to him. Luna's heartbeat sped. She stared at his deep black eyes.

"Had trouble reaching here?" His hazy voice resounded around room.

Luna took a deep breath and smiled at him.

"It was good."

She sat opposite of him. Black's eyes were focused on her movements. The bracelet he gifted her was looking beautiful on her hands. His lips curved in smile. He looked up and met Luna's gaze.

"When are we planning to save my parents?" Luna asked.

"Tonight. Are you comfortable with using guns?"

"Guns and knives." She said

"Swords too" she added.

Black looked at Luna. He was surprised again. He thought, 'This girl keeps on suprising me.' He handed her Beretta M9.

"Use it for self defence. The maximum effective range is 50 m."

"Beretta M9? It's the most reliable one, easy to shoot." Luna took the gun and examined closely. In her previous, she had to rely on weapons like kinves, swords, guns, axe to survive in apocalypse. Her powers were very weak. She was habitual of using them. She learnt about all the guns through a guide that was left in abandoned police station.

Black looked at her, stunned by her words. He regained his senses.

"Good. Since you know this gun better,it will be easy to handle. I doubt that the abandoned house might be heavily guarded. Give it a second thought and let me go alone there. Your powers are weak." He looked at me worried.

"No... I can tackle those guards. I know how to fight." Luna immediately said. She had fought with those creatures for year. She learnt fighting skills during apocalypse. She even learnt few extreme martial arts moves in this two days. She was prepared for fighting guards like this. She is learning martial arts so her fighting moves can improve.

Black sighed. He was helpless. People would listen to him because of his status, for his respect and fear. Yet he can't make Luna accept his words. He got up and brought fresh fruits for Luna.

"Eat."

Luna took fruits as she was very hungry. She ate fruit happily. Black smiled looking at Luna gobbling up all fruits. He wanted to caress her face and pull her into his arms. He was attracted to her, he was confused. He never liked any girl but this girl (Luna) was driving him crazy.

Luna and Black were following the location given by pendant. They were approaching near to their destination. It was dark and chilling outside. The pendant glowed when they were few metres away from the abandoned house. Luna was shocked,

"Black!! How the f*ck this pendant came out of my neck? Two days ago too, I was able to remove it too. How?"

Black laughed softly at her puzzled expression.

"I thought you will never ask. Isn't it wrong time to ask tiny brain? Since, I am power wielder and I have same power of enchantment alongside with me, It can easily be removed under my pressure. Now focus on our mission." He chuckled.

"Mission sounds cool, tiny brain" Luna reverted back.

They slowly approached the house. Black scanned the surrounding and house.

"There are 6 guards outside the house and 5 guards inside. Total 11 guards. Can you handle them?" Black asked gently.

"I can handle them easily. Let's go sneakily. You take the one guard on back door from behind, I will take another one from behind. Grab their mouth so they won't alert others."

"Sure Miss. Mafia" Black smiled at her tactics.

They both approached the guard from behind and broke their neck. They both hold their mouth so the guards won't scream. Luna went to West side of house and killed another guard. She walked towards front door. Black came from opposite direction too. They both broke the guard's neck. They entered the house. One guard who was patrolling saw the duo and informed others.

They were soon surrounded by 5 well built, burly looking, muscular mens. Black looked at Luna. The men laughed at the difference between number and strength.

"We gonna have fun tonight. Don't worry young lady, we won't hurt you. We will kill that man and have fun with you." One of the man said while lewdly looking at Luna.

Black glared at the man. He pounced on the man like vicious tiger pouncing on his prey. The man staggered with force. Black punched him in face with all the strength he can muster. The man fell few feets back. His face was punctured and all the bones snapped with loud voice. Other men charged on him. Luna took two men's away from him by kicking one at his groin and punching other on his face. Both started glaring holes in Luna. Luna ran towards them and swiftly slashed knife accross their skin. They both writhed in pain. Here, black eyes were completely darkned with anger. He wanted to torture them. He kicked two men's one by one. He was continuously kicking them and punching them. Both guards couldn't stop him nor attack him. His strength was too much for them to handle. They fell on ground. Black turned around and looked at two guards kneeling down.

He went towards them and slashed their neck with knives. He tried calming himself.

*Bam*

A gunshot echoed through room. Black turned his head towards Luna. Luna had gun pointed slightly at his direction. He looked beside him, a man dead by her gun. Luna saved him. She walked towards him.

"Are you okay?"

"I am fine. Let's search your parents and leave from here." He said.

They both followed the light illuminating from pendant. Two persons were tied cruelly to chair. The blood had stopped and started rotting on few wounds. They both seemed unconscious and drenched off their strength.

Luna's heart clenched. She formed fist tightly cursing Smith's family for making her parents suffer like this and making her hate them. Black looked at them with tears in his eyes. His teachers were lying there in so much pain. They both took slow steps trying to digest their condition and gaining strength to face it.

"Mom, Dad" Luna called.
