6 THE BEGINNING! NIE LI'S REBIRTH

Even though his family is getting richer by every passing day, it doesn't mean that he would be able to contest with the Sacred family in terms of wealth, which has had it's roots from the history of Glory City. And it also seems that the elders of the Winged Dragon family have decided that it is better to marry Ning'er into sacred family which has already established itself as a major family than my family which is gradually coming into power, obviously the elders support the Sacred family.

'Ah forget about it. I'll teach those elders a lesson when I get my chance.' Itachi thought in amusement. He knew the Sacred family will fall, but with him added into the mix he'll make sure that they'll fall even earlier.

As he entered the City Lord's mansion, he saw Ye Ziyun cultivating he was about to turn away and walk into his courtyard. When he heard her say "Itachi can I've some of your time?"

Itachi didn't want to directly ignore so he could only helplessly nod. Ye Ziyun came in front of him and looked at him in the eyes and asked "what are your plans for Ning'er? You should know by now that the sacred family is ready to announce her engagement with their family?"

Itachi didn't expect Ye Ziyun to talk about Ning'er, he said "I've my plans."

Ye Ziyun didn't feel alright with just that answer "I hope you won't hurt or let her down just like you've let me down." She said very weakly at the end.

Itachi knew that him ignoring her had the opposite effect he wanted, the only reason he started to ignore or avoid her was because she would always feel sad and jealousy whenever he was with Ning'er during their childhood. He also wanted to be friends with Ye Ziyun, but as time went on Ye Ziyun definitely developed feeling for him. He didn't want the poor ex-MC to even lose one of this loved one, so decided to distance himself from her yet reality proved wrong once more. The more he tried to distance himself from her, the more she wanted to be close with him.

'Damn! I'm really a bastard, what I'm doing is the same as Nei Li. I didn't even realize I was hurting her and ignored her feeling, it must have been very hard on the twelve year old. Sigh. If I don't correct my mistake, me coming to this world would have no value.' Itachi thought.

Ning'er had already noticed that Ziyun had feeling for Itachi, she had even said to him once "Itachi I don't mind sharing you and your love with another person who loves you."

Itachi decided he would set things straight with Ye Ziyun, "Ziyun, I won't ask you for forgiveness for hurting you, but I do ask you to give me an opportunity to set things right. I know I've been a bastard trying to avoid you without any proper reasons, I hope you would give me in a chance, so that I can make up to all the sadness I've let you suffer…I didn't want Ning'er to feel abandoned if I accepted your feeling, but she said she was alright with it, yet I still didn't realize while she was happy you were suffering. Will you give me a chance?" he looked at her with gentle eyes.

Ye Ziyun didn't really expect that Itachi would say such words, unknowing to her, her eyes started to tear up, she saw his eyes, it was the same eyes he would always look at Ning'er, she asked, "why? I was your first friend, you even live in my house. I tried to talk to you multiple times but you ignore me. I wanted to play with you when we were little but you would always avoid me. But if Ning'er asked you anything you would do it without hesitation. How can you treat us so differently? What have I done wrong? You look at Ning'er with love and gentle eyes but you look at me with distant and indifferent eyes. Why? Itachi tell me why?"

Itachi was about to open his mouth, but he was interrupted by Ziyun, she hugged him tightly and said "I don't know why and I don't need to know, you asked me if I can give you chance? Yes! Not only this once but I'm willing to give you as many chances as you want. But please don't ignore and avoid me."

Itachi felt his heart sour again, he didn't actually realize she was hurt to this extent he cursed himself in his heart, he vowed that he would never make her cry again. He patted the back of her head and brought her face in front of his, placed a kiss on her forehead and hugged her tightly. He didn't have any words to say to her. He would use his actions to let her know that he loves her.

Ziyun blushed at his intimate action, just as she blushed she felt the trembling Itachi holding her tightly in his embrace. Both didn't say a word for sometime, they just enjoyed the warmth of each other.

1 year later.

Holy Orchid Institute, Fighter Apprentice class

Over thirty students are sitting down and are awaiting to listen to the female teacher as she imparts her knowledge. The students are a bunch of Fighter Apprentices. They are Glory City's Holy Orchid Institute's students.

Itachi, Ning'er and Ziyun were part of the students too. He was sitting in between two of the girls, after the talk a year ago, the trio had become inseparable. Itachi also gave Ziyun a cultivation technique, Ning'er and Ziyun had also understood that their past parting was due to work of their elders due their different statuses. But now that both had common status as Itachi's girlfriends so they didn't let their past incidents to bring changes in their relationships. Instead both of them were happy they could be together with each other again.

"I heard that the new teacher, Shen Xiu, is one of the Sacred Family's 3-star Silver rank Demon Spiritualists!"

A few students were discussing softly among themselves.

The attention of the students was focused on the teacher. She had a tall figure, was wearing a lavender dress that wrapped tightly against her body, giving an emphasis of her perky chest. She had a pair of slender, white legs, and wore exquisite make-up that made her look beautiful and elegant. Her eyes were full of pride and arrogance. The Sacred Family is one of the three Major families of Glory City. Because she is of noble birth, and a 3-star Silver rank Demon Spiritualist, she naturally has the capital to be prideful.

As a 3-star Silver rank Demon Spiritualist, she wouldn't normally come here to teach. She only agreed to because her nephew is in this class.

"Demon Spiritualists and Fighters have five different ranks, which are: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Black Gold and Legend rank. Each rank is then divided into five levels, from 1-star to 5-star.

"A Demon Spiritualist is above a Fighter. We are a truly noble existence. A Demon Spiritualist can form a soul realm within their dantian. They have the ability to integrate a captured demon into their soul realm and then merge with the demon in combat. This allows them to possess matchless strength, which is far above the strength Fighters could compete with." Shen Xiu raised her chin and spoke arrogantly, "Just like me, my demon is a Scarlet Flame Fox."

Suddenly, Shen Xiu's face and hands underwent drastic changes. Her facial shape became sharper, her teeth and nails also became sharper. Finally, a scarlet tail emerged from her back.

"After merging with a demon, I can control its strength as well as gain fire-type abilities. Among the demons, the Scarlet Flame Fox is a Gold rank beast. This means that the highest level I can reach is Gold rank Demon Spiritualist. Of course, after becoming a Gold rank Demon Spiritualist, I can replace it with a more powerful demon."

When it came to her cultivation, the pride on Shen Xiu's face became thicker.

Shen Xiu's words caused a group of students to be amazed. Gold rank Demon Spiritualists are existences beyond the reach for most of them.

As Shen Xiu continued lecturing on the stage, Nie Li was sitting in the back row. His mind was in a trance as his soul floated around.

After a while, Nie Li slowly opened his eyes. He couldn't help being confused by the scene in front of him.

Just before Nie Li opened his eyes, Itachi felt a new soul force, he turned towards Nie Li and activated his Sharingan. He could see a completely new force, he withdrew his glance and turned his head back. He knew the plot had started and got a bit excited.

"Where am I?" Nie Li quietly asked himself.

He was utterly shocked as he realised that his hands became smaller and his skin became a lot more tender.

Shen Xiu was on the stage, talking nonstop. Nie Li clearly remembered that this was the year he joined the institute. The teacher lecturing was a 3-star Silver rank Demon Spiritualist and was extremely arrogant. Because of her, Nie Li was unwilling to learn for quite sometime.

"I was actually reborn?" Nie Li was deeply shocked. He remembered being surrounded and attacked by the Sage Emperor and six Deity rank beasts and died in the battle. It seems his soul was reborn to the time when he was thirteen years old.

Nie Li looked towards the side, and saw familiar faces: Lu Piao and Du Ze. These brothers that had shared life and death with him are alive, except their appearances were very immature.

And her, Nie Li looked towards the left. A few meters away from him, a beautiful flawless face came into his field of vision. It was Ye Ziyun. Although her appearance is only thirteen-fourteen years old, she already looked slender and elegant with purple coloured hair pouring down to her waist. She had arched eyebrows, and an intelligent radiance was seen within her eyes. Whenever she smiled, she would have deep dimples.

Although she looked a little childish, Nie Li knows that, when she grows up a bit more, she will be extremely beautiful and enchanting. She wore a silk white dress that gave her a kind of unspeakable elegance. In his previous life, Nie Li had a deep affection for her ever since he was a teen.

'She's not dead!'

Nie Li was extremely excited to the point that he almost choked.

"I actually went back in time, is this real? Not a dream?" Nie Li asked himself as he severely pinched himself. The clear pain told him that this wasn't a dream. Suddenly he thought of something.

"The Temporal Demon Spirit Book. It must've been the Temporal Demon Spirit Book!"

Nie Li lowered his head and immediately searched for it, but could not find the Temporal Demon Spirit Book.

Nie Li could not believe that his rebirth, this mysterious phenomenon that happened to him, was not related to the mysterious Temporal Demon Spirit Book!

Just as Nie Li was excited, a certain someone was thinking with a smirk 'now that you're back let's see what kind of changes you might bring.'

Itachi once again turned to see Nie Li, he was currently talking with Lu Piao and declaring Ye Ziyun as his women. 'Don't be so positive about Ziyun Nie Li, or else you might really end up with a big blow to your confidence and you better not pester Ziyun' Itachi thought coldly. He really didn't like the way Nie Li looked at Ziyun as if she was his property.

It seems as though Ye Ziyun was also alerted by Nie Li's gaze and turned to look around, only to see him smiling at her. She didn't want anybody to look at her that way except Itachi. She glared at Nie Li coldly and turned her head away.

Just as Ye Ziyun turned her head away, Nie Li saw a boy watching him sitting next to Ye Ziyun, he didn't know who this boy was? Then he thought maybe he was Shen Yue, but he looked different from Shen Yue and he could see Shen Yue glaring at the same boy. Who is it? Nie Li felt uncomfortable.

Itachi also turned his head away and looked at both of his girlfriends and smiled. 'Everything is worth it for them, all the suffering they had to endure due to him I'll change them to happiness because of me' he thought.

Just like the original story, Nie Li and some boys made a bet with Shen Xiu and ended up standing in the class. Even though it was hard for Itachi to face Shen Xiu's arrogance, he didn't say or do anything. He had his own plans.

After the class ended, Itachi, Ning'er and Ye Ziyun started walking out. Shen Yue came and glared at Itachi for a second before looking at Ye Ziyun, then he turned towards Xiao Ning'er and asked "You, aren't you engaged to my brother? Why are you with him?"

Shen Yue was dissatisfied with Ziyun ignoring him and hanging out with Itachi, he felt a bit threatened by it. Who in Glory City didn't know that Itachi was a genius, so he didn't want Ziyun to be with him. But he couldn't tell that to Ziyun as she was the City Lord's daughter and it would also leave a bad impression of him with her. He couldn't talk to Itachi too as he had the Alchemist Association behind him, so he had to be careful with him. But Xiao Ning'er was different, her family was declining, she was engaged to his elder brother and her family relied heavily on this engagement to make a profit for Winged Dragon family, so he decided to vent his anger on her.

Itachi frowned, he was about to teach his kid a lesson, but Ning'er held his hand and said coldly to Shen Yue "I never agreed to that marriage, just because your family can force my family's elders into accepting the marriage don't think that I would accept it. And this is my boyfriend, so why should I not be with him?"

Itachi looked at Ning'er and felt that she had already grown up. Itachi released a bit of soul force which made Shen Yue unable to handle it, he pissed in his pants and fainted. He was a bit angry seeing that Shen Yue came to bully his beloved in front of him. He had teach this kid a lesson he would never forget.

Itachi had used the past year to maximum, he used as many shadow clones as he could for cultivation and had reached 2-star Black Gold rank. After the engagement of Ning'er he didn't dare to slack off, he didn't want to feel helpless during critical times, so he focused on his cultivation seriously.

Although he reached Black Gold rank, his Sharingan didn't evolve to Eternal Mangekyou. He thought may be he should reach Legend rank to awaken it.

Seeing that he fainted Itachi smiled and said "Even trash from the Sacred Family can be so arrogant, no wonder that Shen Xiu was even more arrogant just being a Silver rank spiritualist."

Ning'er and Ziyun already knew how strong Itachi was, they giggled hearing him say.
