71 Teacher for 2 weeks

Bian and Philip brainstormed together, they had less exotic life forms and thus less visitors.

"Don't you have a way to deal with uncomfortable situations?" Philip asked.

"Actually I do" A light bulb switched on in Bian's head, he brought up his commlink and called Ouyang Ming.

After a few rings the call connected, a relaxed voice came from the other end.

"How you doing, surprised you called me so soon"

"Doing great, gonna need some help though" Bian said.

"Ooh! That's gonna be a little bit difficult"

"Why?" Bian was surprised, this guy would do any odd job for cash.

"I'm already in the middle of something" Ouyang Ming said in a pained voice.

'Now what' Bian thought to himself, he didn't know anything about resort parks.

"But there may be a way" Ouyang Ming Said.

"How"

"I'm working as a teacher, as long as the job you need doesn't take too long, I could figure something out.

What do you need by the way?"

"I need a resort planet to win a local competition"

"Are you talking about the Strass family annual competitions, the one that ends in two weeks!"

Bian "..."

"Give up, there's no hope of winning unless a billionaire gives up his fortune. It is impossible"

"No its not, I thought you were a professional and yet you've given up on the cause so soon."

Ouyang Ming was shocked, no one could diss his work ethics or dedication.

"Alright, tell me the planet and I'll need you to do two things for me."

"It's planet Helfa, just say the word"

"Firstly, I'll need a lot of funds to work with and I'll need to take advantage of your connection with the Saints Hall and Xue Family"

"Done, what else" Bian said immediately

"Very important, I'll need you to take over for me for about two weeks, I'll be helping there in person."

"O-okay" Bian said a little unsure "what are you doing?"

"Nothing much, I'm teaching three special kids. You'll need to teach them and also protect them, nothing serious though"

Bian agreed, he and Ouyang Ming would swap positions the following day. Planet Helfa was just a 12 hour space travel from the planet Intel, where Ouyang Ming was.

"Wait a second, connection with saints hall and the Xue Family. This might actually be possible" Philip said, excitement visible on his face. Then he suddenly thought of some thing important.

"Even If we do win, how would you attend the ceremony. Only Family members, influential figures and some lucky people can attend."

'You just keep bringing up one problem after the other' Bian thought with a sneer.

"What do you mean by lucky people?" Bian asked for clarification.

"See that over there, anyone can buy a lucky ticket." Philip pointed to a sanding podium-like machine situated all around the planet.

"Then I'll just buy a hundred" Bian laughed as he walked over.

"It's not so easy" Philip said

'Here we go again' thought Bian to himself.

"Everyone can only buy one ticket from a podium. There are 3600 podiums around the planet, and one ticket can be bought from each.

A lot of companies take advantage of this and send plenty of people round the planet to have a higher chance of winning.

This way they can meet with influential figures during the ceremony and deepen their connections."

"It's always one thing or the other with you" Bian walked towards the podium, he activated the Empirical Will and decided to keep it active for two weeks.

With a notification, he bought a ticket from the podium successfully.

"Is that all you're buying?" Philip asked as Bian had already put away his commlink and walked towards the space station.

"Yeah, I'm a relatively lucky guy" Bian and Ouyang Ming agreed to leave in two hours time, so Bian could attend to the kids the next day. Ouyang Ming closed school early because of this.

"Alright then, an acquaintance of mine will come and take over the rest. Rest assured, his skills are the real deal." Bian told Philip some things about Ouyang Ming before he boarded a private space ship.

Currently it was 2 in the afternoon, after the 12 hour flight Bian arrived on planet Intel at 2 in the morning.

"The life of the hardworking isn't easy" Bian said with a smile etched on his face, he booked a hotel room for two weeks.

The name of the hotel was Brand hotel, Bian bought a V.I.P room worth 2 million dollars per week.

He navigated to the hotel, surprisingly a person was waiting for him with his room card.

"Nice to meet you sir" a middle-aged brunette female hotel concierge gave a courtesy bow.

She led Bian to his room while telling him of the different perks. She left after Bian had settled down into the room.

Bian went through the files Ouyang Ming had sent to him. They detailed the different topics he would teach those kids as well as their time table.

...

Ouyang Ming and Philip stood face to face, after some casual greetings, Philip gave a detailed description of Helfa to Ouyang Ming.

"Well it's no Zoasis but it's not too shabby either." Planet Helfa might not have as much diverse fauna like Zoasis, but they had flora from different species to back their reputation.

Ouyang Ming continued "Let's call up all our contacts, both ours and those from Bian"

"Yeah how could I forget" Philip smacked his forehead, he explained how Bian had liberated hundreds of people in the sanctuaries.

"Now that's more like it, call over their family and friends. Let's have a grand celebration!" Ouyang Ming spoke with some renewed vigor, his vulture like eye seemed to glow for a moment.

"Heok~ right now, your e-eyes" Philip released a gasp when he saw the vulture-like eyes glow.

"It's just your imagination. Come on, lets get to work!" Ouyang Ming said with a wry smile.

...

Morning on planet Intel.

"This really is the V.I.P treatment" Bian said in astonishment. The secondary closet in the room had some nice clothes he could wear.

Of course they weren't designer brand, but they were close enough and quite comfortable too.

After eating a delicious meal served by the hotel, he made his way to the school.

A compound had been specially reserved for teaching just these three kids. Both the paranoia and wealth of the parents were visible.

"Hello, it is nice to meet you" The three kids said in unison.

"Nice to meet you too, my name is Mr Bian, and you are?"

"I am Mark Devon" the first to speak was a 10 year old boy, he was the oldest. He had brown hair and a good build.

"I am Tinker Devon" the 9 year old girl said, she also had brown wavy hair and a good stature.

"I am Vincent Devon" the youngest said, despite his 8 year old stature, he exuded a certain maturity.

'Very well mannered and they've been practicing geno arts already' with their smooth skin and humble attitudes, Bian knew they were going places.

"Alright, I'll be taking over for Mr Ming, agility and reflex classes resume!" Bian knew what he had to teach them.

Their teacher changes every two months. Ouyang Ming had been hired to take them on agility, reflexes and dealing with opponents that are faster than you.

He had thought them the theoretical aspect and was about to move on to practice before Bian called. Bian would have to conduct their physical exercise for the next two weeks.

The compound had every equipment needed for practice. Reflex was the first item on their agenda.

The trio entered a dome shaped building with multiple holes around. At full output, these holes could shoot out tennis balls at speeds equaling that of a bullet.

Of course Bian reduced the speed setting before he assaulted the trio with a barrage of tennis balls.

Cries of pain came from within as Bian turned off the machine, he walked in with a disappointing gaze.

"Are you slacking off, you've already mastered total sense awareness. Use what they've thought you to dodge the balls"

"It's impossible, we can only dodge balls coming from the front" Mark said.

"We might even manage to dodge those from the sides, but to dodge balls coming from behind. Nah uh!" Tinker sassily said.

"Maybe we should take the test one at a time, then you'll fire a single ball from a random direction.

This can help us to integrate the total awareness into our movements. After this we you can gradually turn up the difficulty." Vincent suggested in an innocent and respectful manner.

Bian was still smiling on the surface but deep down he had different thoughts.

'I knew it, a dangerous type of pride has been built under their humility. This isn't arrogance, its superiority'

They knew their teachers were great, yet they were destined to surpass them with their early training and monstrous talent.

This breeds a certain type of pride that is unknown to all including the talented one. Once they meet someone in their age group or younger who is better than them, how would they handle it?

"So in the middle of war would you yell, there are too many arrows for me to dodge" Bian flicked the forehead of little Vincent.

The expression of shock on his face was priceless. He didn't expect such a good idea to be so casually dismissed.

"That's why we have armor, dodge what you can and leave the rest to your study armor" Vincent said with a tinge of pride.

"That's a good point, so will you always wear armor? How about those spears and arrows that can directly pierce the armor?"

Vincent's face fell again, he said in a gloomy voice. "Even a surpasser couldn't dodge these projectiles from all directions"

"Are you sure about that? Although I'm not yet a surpasser, why don't we try it out." Bian said, the trio immediately agreed to his proposal.

"Let's see how he likes a barrage of tennis balls from all sides." Tinker cranked up the machine to the max.

She, Mark and Vincent waited in anticipation to watch Bian fail.

'What will you say then, our dear substitute teacher?' Vincent had a smile on his face, daydreaming of how Bian would try to save face.
