11 CH. 11: Much More Valuable

She smiled widely, "I know my brothers understood me well."

"But you do know that her connection wasn't on the police force but on the military."

They knew this much of course.

Since Heather had entered the Porter family, her brothers have done a light check on everything regarding the family.

Another smile appeared on her lips and Hunter raised an eyebrow before shaking his head.

"Why do I have to ask? You want me to gain an entry in the military through the special force, Military Police?"

"You got it right, brother. General Adrian Anderson was a well known marksman during his younger years. I have heard he was trying to find a good student but no one is up to his standards."

Hunter frowned, of course as a marksman himself, he knew General Adrian Anderson very well.

An idol to so many, him included.

But he never heard of the news of him looking for a student.

"Let's just say I chanced upon such an information?" Heather explained seeing his doubtful look.

And once she answers this way, no matter what her brothers do, they wouldn't get any answer from her.

Heather knew of it after a news of the general getting a student spread out the nation, in her first life that is.

He was a well known person after all.

A hero of the country.

"That woman is connected to him because of her late husband," Hunter spoke.

Cyrus' father died when he was four.

Arthur Porter.

But before he was married and then became the CEO of the company.

He was studying in the military and became a good friend of Adrian Anderson.

"Say, a person connected to a person you value as compared to a person you value, who is much more valuable?" Heather ate the last bit of her cake and looked at Hunter with cunning eyes.

Hunter could only hold his head in his hand, "I didn't know that cunningness run in the family."

He glanced at Aldger who was enjoying the show while eating his cake.

"Why? Why are you looking at me?" Aldger asked in an innocent manner.

But don't be deceived by his laid back attitude right now.

He was more cunning once he is in his business attitude.

Making profits here and there for the Relish Company gaining him the name prince of winery.

Whether it is a new product or a very old one.

He can make different businesses pay for it at a high price.

But of course, all that he offered that the products will gain once bought, were happening one after another.

People even started wondering if he has precognition.

Obviously that is a no, Aldger was just well aware of the capability of the wines that he has.

Whether new or not.

He knows real well just when to bring out a product and when to keep the other for a different use.

His business style was revered by many.

Even those who are older than him.

What makes him stand out of the winery company was the fact that his tongue was so excellent he can tell right away whether the wine is what it was supposed to be.

"This mango is really fresh when it was used for this cake. Where did you buy this? There was not many bakeries who uses such fresh ones," he asked Heather after asking Hunter the question.

"I'll tell you later," she replied.

Aldger shrugged and took another cake slice.

He and Dexter were the only ones still eating the cake.

Heather was glad she bought a 12 sliced one.

If not then surely the cake would be lacking even if the three of them, her together with Alexander and Hunter, only ate one slice each.

"So you are telling me to be his student and get the spot to whom he gives his full support?" Hunter returned his look to her.

"Yes, Adrian Anderson is a righteous one, I know he won't be swayed by money and position. Of course I have a hunch that his deciple was an exemption," she replied.

Though she had seen this fact before in her first life, that she was sure if Hunter were to get that chance then they will surely break one of Amanda's legs.

"This time I'll really see what I can do," he finally relented.

Heather pouted and looked at him begrudgingly.

Another sigh escaped his lips, "I understand. I will surely do my best in order for this to be achieved."

Her pout turned to a big smile, "I know I can trust my brothers when I need help."

But there was a different ripple in Hunter's eyes, something only his twin who was enjoying the cake noticed.

Though Aldger didn't say a thing.

Watching her smiling widely and eating happily, all four of them turned happy as well.

This is their beloved sister.

Their one and only princess.

Her happiness is their family's happines.

And even if she were to ask them now to kill someone, they will gladly do it just to make her happy.

"Oh," she looked at Alexander after thinking about something.

Alexander cleared his throat, he didn't expect that in one swoop, she would give two of her older brothers some task.

"There is one thing I would like you to look into..."

He furrowed his brows, he was a doctor so surely she will ask about medical world related stuff.

All four of them needs to work on the connections so her speaking of this means, she was giving him another task just like Hunter.

"I want you to check this person and find out more about that person."

She pushed over a picture and all four of their faces turned grave upon seeing it.

"Why would you?" he asked seriously.

Even Dexter and Aldger stopped eating happily.

"That person is a good one, if I can rope them in my side, surely I would be able to accomplish more things," she answered with a shrug.

That person was not at fault about anything, why are they so angry.

Instead, Heather was well aware that the person was a very talented individual and once nurtured she knew that person could fly even higher.

The lack of money was what caused that person to be limited.

"Your requests are seriously so out of expectations," he commented but still kept the picture.

Since she had asked why would he decline?

"With that aren't I using our family connections just like what you all wanted?" she smiled happily looking at each of them.

They shook their heads, it was true they practically begged her to use her family connection but they didn't sign up for a slave driver.

Heather was humming as she felt lighter than ever.

She has ample knowledge and now even connections are starting to get on her side.

She really should have done this on her first life.

But instead she relied solely on herself while her enemy was using connections left and right.

With that why don't she do it this time?

"How about mom and dad? Have you tallked to them?" Alexander asked after a while.

"Not yet but I plan on visiting them next weekend," she replied.

Their parents no longer stayed at the city, they chose to stay at the country side, more like the place where Relish has acres of lands for their grape farm.

A lot of people knew where it was but they can't enter.

At the same time, there is a path that only their family knows, that could lead to the side where the villa was located.

It was through a cave in a mountain, built by their family as well.

And the opening of the cave was from the mountain behind the villa.

If one were to take this route, it will take them ten hours of travel as compared to the five hours when taking the main path.

The reason behind was for it not to be discovered by anyone, because who would take such a long path just to get to your own place?

Behind that mountain was a vast forest owned by the country, so anyone could get there but it would be difficult to look for that cave opening.

It was well hidden that no one discovered it for the past one hundred years of its creation.

The forest was a government property but the mountain was a private one, just like the one where the villa they are in now was located.

Together with their parents were their grandparents. Both couples chose to stay away after they passed down their positions.

They would appear from time to time making the headlines for they were famous due to how prospering Relish Winery was.

And they were tired of that, the lime light.

Relish Winery was only second to Porter Family only because they have not truly endeavored outside the country but if they were to do so then they could be on par with Porter Family.

"That is why I won't be coming next friday on this dinner," she added.

"Why don't we all go then?" Dexter suggested.

"Aren't you guys busy now?" she asked looking at the way they dressed on this day.

They all came from their own work, meaning they have things they needed to do and when it is like that, it usually lasts long.
