40 Chapter 40 :Peace and Quiet

James stared at the blade in his hands intrigued. 'There's a hidden bit of info on it? Sigh. One more reason to get the [Demonic Eyes]' James put the sword into his inventory and looked around making sure there's nothing left behind. All he found were the walls in near perfect condition with what he thought were crystals in them. Sense he can't inspect them at the moment he has no real idea what they were. He decided to take just one from the far side of the room. When he look at the item it just came up as,

[Uses:????]

'Ugh.... whatever, Ill save it for later.' James tossed it into the inventory and walked to the exit. James kept walking down the hall of darkness illuminated by the crystals. James didn't take a brake this time so he got to the exit faster then last time. When he was standing in front of the cave entrance and it was [10:00 pm]

Looking up he saw the night sky slightly blocked by the many trees surrounding him. It was getting colder and he could see his breath a bit again. James started walking back down the path to go back home. He could see the city area, Turning he walked down the sidewalk towards his road to get to his house. There was a Christmas tree up in the corner inside and lights up all around the house. It was a nice sight to see. There was still a week until Christmas, he wanted to see the city light up with the Christmas decorations again.

When he was younger in this life he grew to really like this city. It was different from where he lived in his previous life. Obviously. But he never saw a city like this before.Well, It was apparently built during the time he was dead. The cities name was,Trista. It was in the northern area of the US (roughly where Maine is). It was a decently large circular city, which was surrounded by forest\woods. The city would be lit up at night, and extremely colorful. When he first got his first wing, some times he would sit on the building rooftops. He loved when it would rain at night, the sound brought peace to his mind, and the lights covered in the rain gleamed beautifully.

James was currently 17, he had one more year of high-school before he would move on to the big world, and explore. His ability to level up, among other things, like meeting people, had been pretty limited. However he was more interested to see how the earth had changed over the past years. The world is slightly down the line in time from when he had died in his first incarnation. And then on top of this, many events had occurred due to his wishes with "Gramps".

James went up to his room and laid down.

~A week passes calmly. Christmas day~

James was sitting downstairs with the TV on, and a cup of hot coco in his hands. James always liked watching the classic movies around holidays. He had seen them so many times that he basically memorized them all. He still found them fun for whatever reason tho. Just something about a cup of coco with movies on a snowy day and all the colorful lights on sparkling.

Isaiah sat down next to him and relaxed. James without looking away from the TV responded to this, "So, How'd it go?"

"Everyone said they got plans today, so guess its just us for the day until mom and dad come home from their Friends."

"heh, been awhile sense that's been the case hasn't it?"

"Yep, and a year sense we had a Christmas."

James laughed slightly,"No shit man,"

They sat there and watched the movies together and enjoyed their 'sibling day'.

Nicole spent her day with her 7 year old sister Gina. She didn't care about spending time with her mom and dad, but her sister was important to her. something that always sticks with Nicole is something Gina says a lot. Nicole was on the couch with Gina, as her little sister laid her head on Nicole's lap. "sis? When I get older can i be like you?"

"H'm? Of course, like I always told you, one day you might even grow stronger or smart then me." Nicole giggled and kissed her little sisters head. "Don't worry about that for now though. Now what movie do you wanna watch?" Gina's eyes lit up "Oh oh oh, can we watch this one?" she said exited while pointing at the TV. Nicole turned it on, "Sure"

James was outside, The sun had set and snow was still falling lightly. His hood was up and zipped. He made his Raven like wings come out. James flew up into the sky towards the the city's center. Him and all his friends lived near the outskirts of the city except Austin. He was from a more wealthy family so he had a good inheritance. James was sitting on the roof of a sky scraper in the city center. The roof had a flattish area before coming to a point. James was staring down at the night lights through the city in awe. He loved seeing this sight. something he never go to see before being reborn.

Looking over he saw a building that was slightly smaller then the one he was currently lay down now on with his wings stretched out. A person was staring up at him with a camera and handgun was holstered on his side. He was in a navy winter jacket and tan fur in the color with jeans, with tan boots. The seconded they were noticed they ran inside the door behind them trying to go down the building. James sat up and stared, "Shit! ugh, what the hell do I do now." His Raven like wings spread out and he jumped forward.
