39 Chapter 39:Return

~A week had passed sense the previous time. James and the rest rested and recovered from the previous events, hanging out, and the day before hand they had all went out out to the movies together.

The movie was calmer side of things and was a nice time overall enjoyed by all of them. ~

James was walking down a dirt path in the woods. It was noon, and it wasn't too cold, but it wasn't warm either. It was the middle of winter, and Christmas was coming up in a few weeks. There was a bit of frost on the grass, and he could slightly see his breath. James put his hands in his hoodie pockets. Looking up he was surrounded by trees. He hadn't been down this path in a long time. years even.

The cave. The one where his brother had nearly been hurt severely. Although he was fine in the end, Isaiah or the others, hell even himself, could have died that day. O well, the past is the past, however he did learn of a cave and he was much stronger now, so why not try it out.

James walked up and stopped in front of the caves entrance. Sitting there, he stared at it for a bit before walking in words. It appeared somewhat a deep cave. There wasn't another Copper bear in the entrance which made his life a bit easier. At the back of the cave there was a gap in the wall. Big enough for him to walk through, and maybe one person to his side in. However compared to the entrance of the cave it looked extremely small. James wondered inwards.

As he walked down in the dark there were some sparkles in the walls of the cave. James walked for a bit before he stopped in the "hallway". "Nessie, what time is it?" James waited a few minutes before a window popped up in front of him. Looking at it, there was a circle and the words updating across it in bold with a bar slowly filling up. "huh..." It closed after finishing and then the menu for the system popped up in front of him. Something he noticed where the places he could click to open each window had a little icon. He thought it was kinda nice or cute in a weird way, but he didn't see how this helped him in anyway. He clicked on the status bar, and the window poped up to his right. Looking at it in the corner there was a button called clock. James stared at it for a moment. Clicking it there was a lil box with a digital clock style on it and a gear button for settings. He went and changed it so it was red numbers and black background. Then closed everything else and moved the clock to the right side of him, slightly in front by his hip.

[1:50 pm]

James stared at it with a slight smile but also was bothered he was walking for so damn long. He sat down and decided to take a break. Clicking on the store he decided to mess around and just look up random items. After 20 minutes James found himself staring at the wall covered in rainbow crystals that light up the hall.

As James was along this whole time he had been speaking out loud to talk to Nessie instead on in his mind. "Nessie, can i have a radio button? or like a box that just plays music to fit whatever situation I'm in, would reallyyyy make life more entertaining."

*Sure? I guess so*

A small square which had a music box on it. When he clicked it a small [X] would appear across the thing, then clicking again would make it go away. Calm music played in his ears, but it felt as if it was just coming from his surroundings. James proceeded to take a nap.

[3:00 pm]

James woke up and yawned. looking down by his hip he saw it was now [3:00 pm]. 'Whelp, guess I better get back to it huh..' James stood up and kept walking. Earlier something had grabbed his eye in the store. The [Demonic Eyes] skill was a Semi-passive skill. It would allow him to Inspect different people, items, and skills based off his own level. It also would allow the user to see in the dark, adjusting to the best for the users desire. Meaning he could turn off the night vision or dim it if he really wanted to.

He still had 1,900g left over after his buying of the telepathy skill and the energy drink. While this skill costed around 7kg, making it almost as expensive as the telepathy skill, which made sense to him as it was a growth skill. Sighing James kept walking down the hall sadly.

[5:00 pm]

James kept walking and he came across an opening in the cave which was a large circular room filled with the Crystal like things in the walls and a light shining in from the ceiling. On the ground it was mostly dirt, but in the middle there was bright grass. Sitting there in front on him in the middle of the room on the grass, was a humanoid entity. James stared at it before his eyes adjusted to the sudden shift in lighting. Then he realized what he was staring at.

There was a lone skeleton in front of him with a long-sword in one of its hands. James saw this and thought it was convenient for what he needed. In school they had been learning a bit about monsters that can be found out in nature now, and dungeons. Although info on dungeons wasn't really much, at least to the general population. Monsters in nature were generally understood a lot better.

Skeletons were not common to find in nature except in a few areas. These would be abandoned areas, Graveyards, Battlefields, and areas were loss of life was large or the bodies were kept. The reason was only in theory but they had a few ideas on how or why. James didn't remember the rest himself though, or simply didn't care to remember at the moment.

James activated his [Lightning armor] and walked to the monster. The creature stood up and stared at him gripping the sword with both hands. James raised both hands and waited for it to move. The skeletons don't tend to be overly physically powerful on their own, but it can vary. This was a normal Skeleton though. It swung the blade down at James. James cought the blade in his hands, and then kicked the skeleton making it let go of it. Before it could recover he smashed the monsters skull killing it.
