28 Chapter 28:Woods

Will was outside his house. He lived near the edge of the city where it starts to become woods and forests. Ever since he was little his dad taught him how to hunt using different types of bows and guns. He also learned a bit about knives and how to use them, both throwing and normal kinds. He would often go out in the woods to mess around and have fun when he wasn't playing games.

His house was a light blue with stone steps in the front that lead up to his house. His house was not that large. I had 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. One bedroom belonged to his parents, one for him, and the other was for his little sister who was now 6 years old. Her name was Sarah, she had naturally brown hair but it was now a pink color. This came about after she watched anime for the first time a few days ago, and wanted hair like a character in the show. She also managed to make Will dye his hair a jade green. He's slowly getting used to it now though. their parents didn't originally want them to, but Sarah convinced them to let her do it.

Anyways, their back yard was a decent lil flat area of grass that was surrounded by woods. They also had a gray fence, about 5 feet tall, around the sides of the house except for the far backside of the back yard. This was mainly so they could go in and out of the woods whenever they wanted. They had a small back porch as well with an overhang. It was a nice place to live for him. He enjoyed it there at least.

As Will sat there taking in the fresh air, his father came out of the house and looked at him. Will looked up from the stairs he was sitting on and saw his father. "hey dad, what's up?"

"I've got something for you today,"

"hm? what did you get?"

His dad went back inside for a sec before coming back out and was holding something behind him. Will looked at his father questioningly as to what was he holding.

"Close your eyes,"

Will closed his eyes and waited. A few seconds later he felt something metallic in this lap. Opening his eyes he saw it was a black compound bow with a bit of gold on it. He smiled as he looked at it, it looked nice in his opinion. He was also glad his dad bought him something new. "thanks dad,"

"No problem, I saw it and thought you'd like it."

Nodding, Will picked it up and inserted how much weight the draw was on it as well as getting used to how it weighs. His dad went back inside as he did this. After a few seconds he finds it has 70 lbs draw weight. He was happy with this for hunting, but then he thought about monsters as well. For some it may work, but some it may not. ' hm, I wonder... Bonbon, [his systems nickname] is there a way to strengthen the bow so it would work better against monsters.'

*hmm, You could strengthen the power of the bow using g's,*

'how much to upgrade it right now?'

*With the current bow you could upgrade it for 50g for the first one, the second would be 100, then 200,300 and increasing.*

'What would I have to upgrade this bows Level to be able to hurt up to Level 6-10 monsters.'

*This could vary depending on the monster, but on average around Level 5 *

*it would cost ya 500g, you could also get better arrows from the shop or make arrows out of magic,*

'ok, upgrade the bow to Level 5 for me,'

Will went out into the woods with a few arrows to test how much stronger his bow was then normal. He aimed at shot at an oak tree about sixty feet away from him to see what would happen. The arrow made a whistling sound before hitting the tree with a loud bang sound echoing out. When he went over and looked he saw that half the arrow went inside the tree. He was greatly amazed that this would be that effective but welcomed the strength of the bow. This will make him be able to hunt things much easier.

He pulled the arrow out and saw the tip was fine, which made him happy he didn't have to replace it yet. He spent the rest of the day hunting some animals giving him some XP and met to bring back home. When he came he had caught 4 dear and a bunny. He put the animals down and then went up to his room where he put his stuff down before sitting on his bed. Will passed out for an hour before his dad called him down for dinner. When he came down he sat at the table next to his sister and across from his parents. The four chatted for a bit before all the food was finished. Will stretched and yawned as he stood up from the table. He put his dish in the sink before waving night to his family. Going up into his room he plopped onto his bed. Will turned on the tv and put the volume down low. Closing his eyes he slowly felt himself drift away into sleep. The moon rose in the sky as the stars began to shine down on the surface of the earth. Everyone else soon went to their rooms to sleep. But Will was already passed out to know or care about this.
