22 chapter 22: Questions/CM pt2

For a bit she didn't respond, James assumed she was deciding on what to say.

'giggle, nothing. Anyways Last question do all the systems(people) live in a separate world or do they have their own area per individual,'

*It's like a mixture of both. Basically we have a world where we all live, and within our homes there's a gate so to speak into an area where we can focus on this work. Although technically we can respond from anywhere, its not as convenient if were out and about. And before you wonder latter, systems are only given to beings that have sentience, like humans and such.*

*hehe no problem James*

As he looked back around James noticed a few matches had already finished. As he looked at the brackets he saw that it was his little brothers turn to fight as well. James quickly looked on with interest to see how far his lil bro has progressed over the time.

{Isaiah POV}

Stepping into the arena all eyes were on him and his halberd. As he definitely stood out among the students. Like his classmates, he was in his casual clothes, but unlike most students, he had a halberd. There were only a handful of people who picked the weapon as a lot of people chose swords, dagger, axes and such. But he always loved the halberd sense he was younger. It was versatile and had reach. Although most people wouldn't like it due to things like it being too heavy to carry around for everyday life(and a lot of people not knowing a lot), he was strong enough where it wasn't a problem, but he also knew how to use pole arms. Using this he felt this was a good choice for him and he had already proven this before. Now he just has to get better and stronger.

Starring down his opponent he twirled the halberd as if it weighed like nothing before pointing it at the person standing in front of him. The person hesitated at first before readying their own spear, They came at him and trusted it at him. Isaiah stepped back slightly and twirled the halberd in a circular motion finding the spear away from him and this process repeated itself a few times and each time he dashed slightly back and did a lil spin himself just for style cuz why not. As this happened everyone was watching closely. It didn't help that Isaiah and his brother were both good looking so a lot of girls were starring and hoping he would be ok. Nicole noticed this and was slightly bothered but didn't do much about it as she was more focused on his match.

Shortly after Isaiah knocked the weapon from his hand and brought the spear point of the halberd to the students neck. He was declared the winner shortly after. He walked back up and sat next to Nicole and everyone. Nicole smiled at him and told him he did really well while James patted him on the back. Isaiah was glad with this outcome. Although it took a lot of practice and hard work, It was definitely with it.

{Will POV}

Next up was Wills turn. Standing up he went down and readied himself. Although he wasn't sure about his abilities at the moment, he wanted to give it a try at least. He pulled out his compound bow, and waited for the person to get down in the arena. As the person walked down and readied himself Will noticed the person had a shield and short sword. He sighed as this was a bad parring for him. Well I should at least put on a show, so hopefully I can get at least [B] rank. putting an arrow into his bow he got ready. As the Host said go, the other student rushed Will with his shield in front of him. Will dashed back to get some distance but he couldn't get enough distance for too long. Instead Will switched plan turning around and running at the opponent he jumped onto his shield and pushed off him flipping in the air and shooting an arrow at him while upside down. Although it was very impressive and hit the targets leg it didn't completely stop him.

After landing he kept running in a large circle around the opponent. Though the person was able to turn too quickly for Will to find a wide enough opening to shoot. He then dashed towards will and bashed into him with his shield sending him flying in to a wall. A massive pain streaked through his back and he nearly dropped his bow. He fell down on the ground with barley enough strength to do anything. Out of a desperation he used the last bit of strength he had to shoot an arrow towards his target. It collided and sent him to the ground. Immediately after everything went black.

{James POV}

As he saw Will fly into the wall he got worried for his friend. He knew Will wasn't the most durable person and that damage he had just suffered was no joke. He struggled to not rush in there to help him, but if he did Will would be disqualified and all of it would be for nothing. As the last arrow flew and landed James was happy, surprised and relived. He was about to go down there when he saw some medics go down there and take them away to be treated for their damages. Sighing he relaxed and took a deep breath. Everything would be ok now. So there was nothing to worry about. Judging from what he could tell, they were around the same level, but that shield did its job and stopped arrows from being as effective. Sad parring but nothing that could be done about it now.
