2 Parents

'AAAAAAHHHHHH!! MY HEAD!!'

It was at that moment that I realise why a baby is thought to have something wrong with him if he doesn't cry when their born. Holy fuck, does it hurt. It's like sticking your head under a wheel, except the wheel is for a 40 ton truck full of heavy materials. Something as big as a baby's head should never have to come out of something so small comparatively at all.

As soon as I could breathe, I screamed as loud as I could. All the pain from dying and being born all seemed to come out in one go. I screamed and screamed; it was all I could think about.

As I was screaming, I went into the embrace of what I determined to be a woman due to the soft feel of something of considerable size on their chest (must keep a pure mind!). I opened my eyes to see who it was that was holding me.

She was a beautiful woman, with long, silky black hair. She had large brown eyes that were as clear and exquisite as pearls. She had a small nose and thin, rosy lips above soft, dainty chin. She had skin as fair as virgin snow and a scent that brought me nothing but comfort upon smelling it. But why does she look so familiar?

"Such a beautiful boy. My son is such a beautiful boy."

Ah. This beauty is my mother. How did I not think of such a possibility. And here I was appreciating here beauty. How dare I do such a thing!

A man burst into the room. He seemed nervous: his hands were shaking, his palms were sweating and his hair was all over the place. Despite this, his expression seemed to light up upon seeing me, forming a smile as he laughed.

"C'mon, Irina. Let me take a look at my own son!" So this man is my father, and judging from what he says, my mom's name is Irina. Okay.

"Tatsumi, you be quiet. You'll startle him!"

"Don't be like this, Irina. Can you please just let go of him so I can hold him myself?"

She held me closer to her chest as she said "No.". Mother, please don't do this. I can feel your breasts through your clothes!

"Pleeeease?"

"Okay, fine." My mom reluctantly gave me to my dad, who seemed to giggle like a child.

"Ah, my son. I have a son! Today you shall be name Shouyo of the Tanaka family. Tanaka Shouyo! You shall grow up as handsome and strong as your father! Haha!"

He was hopping a bit as he said this slowly turning around. For the newborn me, it felt like a roller coaster ride so I started laughing. He seemed a bit too excited, and how coincidental that I have the exact same name. Or maybe there is something going on?

"Enough of that now! Do you wish to frighten him?" My mother seemed quite concerned about what my father was doing, but not too much as she was smiling.

Wait. That smile is all too familiar. I've definitely seen it before in a photograph. Which photograph was it, though?

"Now, now. Calm down, or YOU'll end up frightening him. Can't a man know some happiness?"

"Fine. Do what you want." After my mom gave up, my dad continued to laugh and hop around the room with me in his arms. I laughed gleefully. It was too much fun.

But then it hit me.

Wasn't her face exactly the same as the one in the photos? Wasn't that the image of my mother in my previous life? The enigma with no information?

A chill ran down my spine. How could she be here? Wasn't she on Earth? How did she give birth to me again? Who exactly was she?

As if sensing my questions my mother looked at me and sighed.

"Tatsumi, please let me hold him. We may not have much time left."

"Must it be so soon?" My dad looked sad all of a sudden. What did she mean by that?

"Yes. They will come for me if I do not leave early enough They will kill Shouyo as well."

"Alright, then."

Can you guys please elaborate? Who's gonna kill me? Why must you leave so soon?

My father handed me to my mother, who had tears running down her cheeks.

"Shouyo, you look so beautiful. I wish I could see you grow up, but even in this life, I must leave you. *sob* I'm so sorry. Please forgive your mommy, okay? *sob* I won't be able to see you again until you grow strong enough." She burst into tears and held me close. I also began to cry. Two lifetimes, and my mom is unable to be with me for some reason. Why!?

"Tatsumi, take him to Konohagakure. Let him grow up there in a peaceful environment. I must leave now."

"Let me come with you."

"NO! Don't come with me! *Sob* Let him at least have a father." She handed me to my father and disappeared. Tears flowed out of my father's eyes. He wrapped me up in sheets and dashed out of the door, running as fast as his legs would take him.

After some time, we heard an explosion from where our house once was, but dad didn't look back. He kept running through the forest, shielding me from the winds generated.

Several ninjas in dark clothes appeared in the trees. Without even bothering to speak, they all threw several shurikens at my dad. He didn't even bother stopping to block them, only shielding me with his body and charging straight through.

"Hmph. Try all you want to charge through, but it won't end well for you anyway." The ninja in front sneered at us as he performed some hand movements. Countless black fireballs were released towards us from all direction.

My dad simply held me tightly and jumped. We immediately appeared 5 meters above the ground and burst through the tree canopy. I noticed blood dripping down my dad's face. He looked at me with kindness and love in his eyes.

"Don't worry, child. You shall grow up safe."

Dad, don't be like this! You're gonna make me cry!

Yep. Couldn't hold it in. I started crying like the little baby I was, full well knowing my dad will probably die soon.

As we jumped from tree to tree, more and more black fireballs his dad. His clothes were all tattered and he had burns all over his skin. Blood fell to the ground with his every footstep, his knees trembling whenever his legs touch the ground.

The ninjas chasing us backed off, laughing at my dad. We were getting close to the Hidden Leaf Village, you see, so they obviously had to retreat. Or maybe it was because their job was done?

By the time we made it to the village entrance, my father was swaying on his feet, his eyes seemingly out of focus. I nudged his chest to see what was wrong. He looked down at me and smiled.

"Be good son. Make me proud. Bring glory and honor to the Tanaka name. And most of all, find your mother. Deliver her from her suffering. Take care of her. She's been through too much."

No. Don't go. This sounds like you're leaving me. Dad, don't go! Stay with me! Please!

I bawled my eyes out as he handed me to the guard at the entrance. He told him my name and asked for me to be raised in the village. I reached out to him, but to no avail.

"Forgive me, my son"

And with that, he fell, never to rise again.
