2 MARRIED

"Let's get married."

Gu Xichen looked down at the wide-eyed girl staring at him in anticipation of his answer. Indeed she was a beauty, with long ebony hair, and exquisite features. She was wearing a blue shirt paired with high waisted loose pants, which showed off her unbelievably long legs. He held out his hand for her household register, which she took out of her purse and placed in his awaiting hand.

"Okay," Gu Xichen said after flipping through it. "Let's get married."

And just like that they were married.

Xin Weilin looked down at the red books in her hand, she was married. She felt multiple emotions, but most of all she felt relieved, relieved she hadn't married Mo Zhouli. She looked up at the man before her, her husband. She was contented.

Now, the issue of going home.

"Uhmm. . ." Xin Weilin was at a loss for what to do. Now that they had gotten married, she didn't know what was supposed to happen next. She wasn't sure if she would go back home or if she would have to go to his house.

She looked at his silent disposition, that woman had said he was a poor man, could it be he didn't even own a car? But it would be awkward if she asked him.

"I came here by car," Xin Weilin eventually said.

What she didn't know, was that her face was like an open book, displaying all her emotions clearly. And Gu Xichen could easily guess what she was thinking. He glanced at the woman beside him, suddenly finding her cute. He would let her believe what she wanted too. His lips twitched upwards imperceptibly.

"Lead the way." Gu Xichen followed Xin Weilin to her car, noticing how tired she looked. "I'll drive," he said while taking the keys from her.

She obediently went to the passenger seat and sat down, waiting for him to start the car. He asked for her address after he had started the car.

It seemed Gu Xichen was right about Xin Weilin being tired, because she fell asleep soon after he had started driving. He placed a call to his assistant, asking him to bring food and a change of clothes, and deliver them to her apartment. Gu Xichen was sure she wouldn't have much food in the house, since she had planned on getting married today.

He didn't wake her up after they arrived. He got out of the car to wait for his assistant.

Xin Weilin almost thought everything had been a dream when she woke up, she thought she had gone back to her past life. But the stable silhouette of her husband, of Gu Xichen, proved that it hadn't been a dream, it had all been real. He was talking to someone, but the person was gone by the time she got out of the car.

"Who was that?" She asked, as she stood beside him.

"Delivery," he raised up the packages in his hand to show her.

She nodded her head, and led the way to her apartment. It was a charming two bedroom apartment, which she had always thought had been enough, but having him in here made it seem small.

"Make yourself at home, I'll go take a bath."

Xin Weilin left him in the living room, and went to the guest room. Just as she thought, there were some stuff that belonged to Mo Zhouli in the room. He had sometimes spent the night there, though they had always slept in separate bedrooms. Xin Weilin closed the door behind her, she couldn't have her husband see all those stuff that belonged to another man in her apartment. So, they would have to share a room. They were husband and wife, there was no problem with them sharing a room, but Xin Weilin couldn't help but feel apprehensive at the thought.

After her bath, she noticed there was a message on her phone, it was from Mo Zhouli. He was asking why she hadn't waited for him, that he had arrived to find her gone. He rescheduled the wedding to Monday, it was the weekend tomorrow.

Hmph, he didn't even bother to call.

Xin Weilin just replied with an Okay. She would deal with him tomorrow, she thought as she dried her hair.

She felt better after freshening up. She emerged in a dark green nightgown, which stopped just above her knee, revealing her smooth white legs. Gu Xichen was at the dining table waiting for her. She joined him and they ate in silence.

"I need you to accompany me to see my parents' lawyer on Monday." Xin Weilin said, after they had finished eating.

"Hmm. You'll have to move houses before then," his reply was succinct.

Xin Weilin nodded, " I'll move to your place tomorrow."

There wasn't much for her to do anyway. The furniture came with the apartment, so she didn't have to worry about them. And she had already packed most of her clothes, since she had planned on moving to Mo Zhouli's place.

She showed him her room, before she left him alone to go wash the dishes they had used.

She had just slept, so she doubted she would get much sleep. Xin Weilin decided to watch something on the television. Her eyes were on the screen, but her ears were straining to hear the movements coming from the room. She was nervous.

Soon, Gu Xichen came out of the bedroom wearing a white robe. His chest muscles and long powerful legs were on display. Xin Weilin swallowed, as she watched him stride towards her. He sat beside her. He didn't say anything, but his burning gaze made her stiffen.

"I wasn't feeling sleepy," Xin Weilin blurted out, looking up to meet his gaze. The way he looked at her, as if she were his prey, made her feel uneasy.

The corner of his lip raised into a smirk, as he leaned closer. "There are plenty of ways in which I can make you tired, Mrs Gu. Want to try it out?"
