"No! We are not fighting a lich." I yell back

"Hey, guys, this player got an extermination quest to kill a lich!" The player shouted to the other nearby players.

All around me, players started talking to themselves before another player shouted. "Hey! Isn't that also Eri from the character creation?" After yelling that, the din of excited talking rose higher.

Player three: "Eri is here! It must be an important quest!"

Player four: "I have to contact my guild and tell them there is a boss quest!"

Player five: "Hey guys! I think this is a hidden event quest. I can't find anything about it on the forums or from Exodus Tech."

In panic and desperation, I turn to Eri for help. "Eri, please say something! There is no quest; I am just escorting Leena to the capital." I desperately plead.

Eri looks at with for a moment, and then I see a flash of mischief in her eyes. "Oh? I didn't know you were so bold. Fighting a lich is no easy feat. I am going with you now, Gwyn. I want to see you fight this evil lich."

"Et Tu Eri!?" I say before my shoulders slump. Then I get a system notification.

After receiving the quest, several other players shout excitedly while everyone runs about for last-minute preparations. I look over at Eri, who is failing to hide her smirk behind her hand. I'll get you back, Eri.

[Hey, I heard all over the forums that there is a boss quest in your area. Are you currently doing it?]

"We should stop and set up camp. It is getting late." I say to my traveling companions.

I look around at the other players and see some do the same while others continue into the trees near the road. Some of them say things like they can't log off until they complete the quest.

It doesn't take long for Leena to set up the tent. It was just a tiny cube that she threw onto the ground, and with a loud "POOF," it turned into a regular-sized one- or two-person tent. The inside was much bigger than the outside. There was even a small table with a burner for heating up food. The tent could easily fit five people in it.

"Pick a spot, guys! There's plenty of room for your sleeping bag." Leena says while already placing her bag down. I decided to do the same too.
