1 Human???

"It's so cold…"

The young boy thought to himself as he struggled to open his eyes. After much effort, he finally opened his eyes and saw himself lying in a pool of muddy rainwater. Before he understood where he was, the trees in the distance were struck by lightning and the loud claps of thunder started ringing in his ears, giving him a bad headache.

"Huh? Where am I?"

Holding his head, he sat up and found himself looking up at the dark gloomy skies and felt the strong wind against his face. He was surrounded by tall grass that swayed violently with the wind in the wilderness. He looked around and didn't see any buildings or anyone in sight.

It seems like it was going to rain even heavier very soon and it could be a dangerous place to be at.

"Urh…Got to get out of here first…"

He tried to stand but fumbled down face first.

"That's strange...how come it feels like I cant use much strength?"

He frowned as he looked down on his feet.

"This….this… what the hell is this?!"

His heart shook silently as he stared at the pair of muddy bare feet. Although one of it seems to be broken but he wouldn't mistake the size of it, it was the size of a child!

He promptly lifted up his hands and stared at his small palms. The next moment he was touching his face and started touching his whole body, even stretching down to his toes.

If someone was looking, they would think that It was truly a strange sight.

After much fumbling around, the young boy's face started to show a complicated expression.

"I'm...I'm human?!"

--

Even though this reality shocked him to his core, the young boy's first priority was to look around for somewhere to take shelter before he became an offering to the lightning gods.

As he was dragging his body across the field, he noticed that he was in so much pain all over. This body of his seems to be wounded with bruises all over and it was really difficult to gather any strength to walk faster.

The rain was getting heavier and the frequency of the lightning increased.

"Aiya! Who knew that a broken foot can cause so much pain…" He grumbled as he bit his lip and tolerated the pain of walking with a broken foot and sped up.

After what seems like forever and with much difficulty, the young boy saw a shallow cave from afar that was big enough to fit an adult. Assuming he is now in the body of a child, it should be quite a comfortable size.

By the time he got to it, he was feeling so painful all over that he felt that maybe being human wasn't exactly great after all. He was shaking like a leaf from the cold and curled up into a ball to retain heat.

"What...Humans are truly fragile!" he thought to himself as his eyelids became heavier and soon drifted into a dream.

--

"What else do you have to say, Tie Cheng?" A handsome youth in white held onto a red whip with grey scales and ruthlessly struck down on the neck of another youth in black that was injured on the floor.

Blood started trickling down the open wound on the neck and seeped into the black robes. Tie Cheng coughed out a few mouthfuls of blood and silently closed his eyes.

"Just kill me, Ah-Xun."

"Stop calling me that. You do not have the right to call me that." Du Xun's grip on his whip tightened as he ready himself for another strike.

"If it can make you feel better...just kill me." Tie Cheng opened his bright dark eyes and looked at Du Xun with a gentle gaze.

Du Xun's heart was complicated as he saw Tie Cheng's eyes stare straight at him. They were still the same bright eyes from the time they became sworn brothers... Why has it come to this?

"You think by killing you, Ah-Wei will come back? My mother, father and all TianQiao Sect members will come back?" Du Xun's lips trembled as he held back his tears.

"I'm sorry." Tie Cheng's heart felt like it was broken into a million pieces again when Du Xun mentioned those people.

"Sorry? What can a sorry do? Don't think about running away anymore Tie Cheng, Du- Shixiong's whip is laced with the 100-year-old peony poison. Now you are paralyzed and can't move, you will die within 2 hours if you don't have the antidote! Go with us to receive your punishment at the holy grounds!"

Tie Cheng lightly glanced at the female companion in the same white outfit beside Du Xun and ignored her. His eyes looked around before locking onto a blue sword on the floor near her, and he gave a weak smile towards it.

The female companion followed his gaze and saw Tie Cheng breaking out a smile so creepily. She thought he was going to be up to no good and panicky picked up the blue sword near her.

"Don't fucking touch it." Tie Cheng glared at her.

He was so loud and imposing that the cave shook. She thought he was going to attack and screamed in shock while stabbing the blue sword into his chest.

"No!" Du Xun screamed as he ran forward, wanting to stop his Shimei but he was too late.

Tie Cheng started coughing out more blood and his eyelids became very heavy as his lashes trembled to close.

The blue sword that was stabbed into its master's body suddenly started emitting out a burst of intense killing aura, shaking the cave even more violently.

The ground started splitting apart and Tie Cheng smiled as he silently patted the hilt of the blue sword.

"It's okay...At least it's with you. Let's meet again in our next life... Bie Feng." Tie Cheng whispered before the ground tore apart and both master and sword fell into the boiling volcano.

"...Thank you for everything" Tie Cheng closed his eyes.

--

That was his last memory before he woke up to realize that he, the world-renowned sword Bie Feng, had become a human child.
