Supreme Nexus vs Dark Minions (1)

After the fierce battle had subsided, Rasoul rifled through the fallen foe's remains before storing the lifeless body and core within his spatial ring. Swiftly retreating from the battlefield, he halted approximately 7 kilometres away, a strategic distance chosen with purpose. He intended to assess the spoils accrued before engaging in the climactic confrontation with the Assassination organization, whose Leader had recently met his end at Rasiul's hands.

Despite his hopeful expectations, there was no drop this time. After securing one in his fight with the Great Beast, he had hoped to obtain another. Rasoul took out the storage ring and glanced inside, but what he saw immediately prompted him to seek help from the system.

"Hey system," Rasoul inquired with urgency, "can you swiftly catalog the contents of this ring?" The sheer magnitude of potential wealth concealed within the ring prompted this immediate request.

[That will cost 100,000 Fire Points]...The system won't allow this to slide without extorting some fire points from Rasoul.

Undeterred by the substantial price tag, Rasiul retorted without hesitation, "Proceed." A hundred thousand Fire Points held little sway over him, having amassed millions after dispatching the Saint a few minutes ago. His singular focus is now fixated on unravelling the mysteries enclosed within the confines of the enigmatic ring. In perfect synchrony, the system emitted a chime, signalling the commencement of this tantalizing exploration.

The magnitude of Rasoul's windfall sent a thrill coursing through his veins. Alpha Beast Cores, Dark Beast Cores, Lunar Beast Cores, and Astra Beast Cores represent a potential power wellspring. Green Rank Spiritual Fruits promised enhanced spiritual cultivation, while 300 billion gold coins hinted at wealth beyond his wildest dreams.

'Whoa, I hit the jackpot! I'm super rich," Rasoul celebrated quietly in his mind. 'Now I can make a splash in the human Empire before taking off. There is no need to stress about money for a good while. Thanks a ton, Mr. Randy; your death brought me more than I hoped. Rest easy, buddy,' Rasoul grinned like a total goofball in love.

After the system organized the stuff in the ring, Rasoul realized he had scored big. He is now on par with those fancy great families. He wanted to figure out how to snag more gold coins before hitting the road. Even though there are other high-value currencies, Gold coins are the go-to currency in Venara, and Rasoul planned to pile up a bunch before leaving the human Empire. Little did he know, the big money was with the seven great families. Should he discover this, he will squeeze them dry before departing the Empire.

Rasoul grabbed the skill book and dove right in. He already liked the abilities it offered, so learning them was his top priority. He knew three of the ten that were good enough for him. He figured he'd let his buddies pick up the rest since he learned faster than them.

Two of the three abilities stayed locked, as Rasoul couldn't tap into cosmic energy just yet.

Next, he pulled out a small book with a dark cover. Curious, he prompted the system to identify it.

[Black Book]

-- This is the black book owned by the Leader of Dark Minions.

--It contains secrets of higher-ups in the Human Empire.

"So, basically, it's a goldmine of info to squeeze officials all over the human empire," Rasoul mused, his excitement barely contained.

[Yes]

"Damn, this is amazing. It's gonna make things so much easier for me," Rasoul whispered as he eagerly began learning the book's contents. The system allowed him to absorb knowledge from books by touching it with his hands or letting the book touch his forehead.

[Do you want to learn this book?]

> Yes

> No

As the message appeared, a deluge of information attacked Rasoul's mind, and a broad smile stretched across his face.

"These Great families won't know what hit them," Rasoul declared, his excitement palpable. Yet, as he delved deeper into the influx of knowledge, a shadow crossed his expression.

"Master Julius, what mess have you gotten yourself into? I need to visit him, but first, I've got to take down the seven great families. Our reunion has to be flawless," Rasoul pondered inwardly, attempting to mask the grief that threatened to surface. He understood that faking his own demise would inflict considerable pain on his master.

The fact that an Assassin group possessed information on him signalled that he had stumbled into dangerous territory.

Turning his attention to the system, Rasoul inquired about the piece of map in his hand.

[This is one segment of a seven-piece map leading to a concealed gate, which, in turn, opens the way to a city of a forgotten race known as the Divine Ones.]

"Why does that name sound familiar?" Rasoul pondered inwardly. Unbeknownst to him, the history of the Divine Ones was locked within his mind. The memory lay concealed in the legacy Old Kane, aka Old Monk, passed down to him before his demise.

In ancient times, the Divine Ones boasted an intense connection to the light element, delving into Cosmic energy. Their affinity for the light element unlocked a more potent variant of cosmic energy known as Divine Cosmic Light. This energy propelled them to conquer races, amass wealth across the universe, and rival the top five strongest races.

When the universe faced the onslaught of Anti-Matter, the Divine Ones singularly thwarted its destruction on their lands. Rasoul's acquisition of the map piece wasn't mere luck; within him slumbered a dormant, more potent bloodline of the Divine Ones.

"System, what's the deal with these slave contracts?" Rasoul questioned the system, eyeing two white sheets.

[These contracts enable you to establish a Master and Servant contract with any being worldwide, irrespective of their cultivation realm]...the system responded.

"So, you're telling me I could've used these to turn the saint I just killed into my slave."

[Yes.]

"What a missed opportunity. He could've served me instead of meeting his end."

[Be grateful you're still alive. Not many Masters can brag about landing even a single strike on a saint.]

"I'm just that awesome."

[Shameless Bastard]... the system retorted.

After his brief banter with the system, Rasoul cautiously stowed the contracts in his inventory, putting some distance between himself and Orange City. His next destination awaited – the Sundance headquarters of the Dark Minions Assassination Group.

Meanwhile, in an underground chamber, 34 leaders and the First Prince of the Sundance Kingdom gathered, eagerly awaiting the triumphant return of their Leader. Excitement buzzed in the air, evident even to the most oblivious observer. The War Deity Tomb would open in two weeks, and the prospect of untold riches fueled their enthusiasm. The tombs held abundant resources that once belonged to Nino, aka Deity of War. Dierty of War, a former general of the Katan Army, was renowned for amassing substantial wealth through his exploits.

This year's venture into the tomb promised to be particularly dangerous, fueled by ominous rumors. Those who managed to return alive were sure to bring back a wealth of resources.

"This time, those fools won't know what hit them," declared one of the 34 leaders.

"Of course they won't. They are going against a saint, after all...Sandro replied

"I don't know why the Leader is running late, but I'm certain those three fools are well on their way to the afterlife. They picked the wrong opponent," chimed in another leader.

"Hahaha, that's right, Jack. They messed with the wrong organisation. It's a shame I couldn't get my hands on that female with them. She's quite stunning," added another with a lustful glint in his eyes.

"They would've had a longer life if they hadn't aligned themselves with that Princess. Too bad she had to die as well. It would have been great to have a princess as my bitch," Jack commented once again.

"You can't always get everything you want, Jack. We take what we can, and the rest is left to the universe," another leader expressed, looking disappointed.

"Maybe we should have had them sign a slave contract. That way, we would have had them to ourselves," Sandro suggested. They intended to pin down the two beauties and ravage their worlds. However, they would be losing two damsels due to the decision to kill them instead.

"Sandro, are you questioning our leaders' decision?" a young blue-haired man inquired. His tone alone conveyed his disdain for Sandro.

"That's not what I meant, and you know it. Stop putting words into my mouth, Steve," Sandro promptly replied. Before Steve could retaliate, another young man swiftly changed the topic entirely.

"Hey, guys, I heard some rumors floating around about a mysterious legacy left behind by the Deity," a lean young man in his 20s interjected.

"I heard the same rumor too. Some Families are scrambling to get more passes for their young prodigies. If it's true, the one who obtains that legacy will become a major powerhouse in the human Empire," added another leader.

"The Legacy of the Deity is something many will chase after. We should seize the opportunity and use it to our advantage. While those powerhouses are busy hunting for the legacy, we can take the chance to explore and gather more resources," a man with blond hair suggested, his words revealing his intelligence amidst the assembly of leaders.

But before the next Leader could comment, the room temperature started to drop quickly, and the access to mana was severed. Panic started to spread among them as this was an unusual thing.

"I can't access my Mana," said one of the leaders, displaying clear signs of panic.

"It's as if there is no mana in the world anymore," commented another leader.

"What's going on? What could've caused this?" Jack inquired, but before he could await an answer, the door swung open, revealing three individuals with unique white hair. They immediately recognized them, but Sabrat spoke in a serious yet playful tone before they could ask or say anything.

"Hear me and rejoice, for you are in the presence of the Supreme One. Be thankful that your meaningless lives now contribute to His rise to dominance. You may think this is a joke. No... it is the real deal."

"One day, you'll all be known as the Cannon fodders that helped the Supreme One rise to power."

This enraged the 34 leaders, but Rasoul and his pals walked casually toward the Leader's chair. Rasoul sat down, legs crossed, while Sabrat and Lara stood behind him. The 34 leaders stared in shock, the only one seemingly unaware of what was happening to be the First Prince.

"So, where do we start from?" Rasoul finally spoke with a smile, having observed their reactions.
