Dealing with the young woman....

The guard began to panic, he had never thought that the son of a bastard would inherit a grimoire, he instantly regretted his offensive actions towards the man he knew as Alexander. His panic grew from the fact he knew a level 4 guard like himself was no match even for a level one grimoire user, he needed to be at least level six to survive the encounter let alone win it. As a crowd gathered around them and the panic began to overwhelm him, he fell to the ground and begged" I'm sorry lord Alexander for causing trouble for you, please let me go, it was Lady Pendergast who ordered me to come here and cause trouble for you"

Ajax just smiled in response and picked him up off of the floor before hitting him in the side of the head with the pistol magazine. He then looked at the barely conscious body and said" Arm or leg? If you don't choose I will just take them both from you, you have two seconds"

Ajax then noticed the woman who allegedly was his ex-fiancee attempt to flee while the guard was being brutalised and this left a sour taste in his mouth. He sprinted after her and when he caught up to her he said"Abandoning those who follow you when things get tough is a sign of a bad ruler, killing you would be a favour to the Pendergast family, let us go back to were your 'loyal' guard is, he must of made his choice and once he has, you will as well."

He hen dragged the young woman by the hair through the crowd before throwing her onto the ground in front of the guard, he then looked at them both and laughed at the sight of them. The guard looked up from the floor and said" I choose my left arm, please just get this over with, I apologise again for my previous actions and I wish you well going forwards"

Ajax laughed at his response and re-drew his pistol and shot the left arm of the guard. The explosion of the arm was greater that Ajax had predicted, the blood covered the guard and the young woman as well as a few members of the crowd, surprised at the strength of the gun Alexander was extremely anxious to open the grimoire and assess his new strength but before he could he had to deal with the young woman.

He walked towards her smiling and said" Lets go and see how much value your family puts on your life, if it is too little you will end up with a fate worse than the lovely guard over there or you can choose to die here without the embarrassment of knowing how little worth you have to your family." The words Ajax spoke hit the woman hard, she knew that her family valued her less than her older sister and brother however they would not let the insult to the family's name stand.

She swallowed what little pride she had left and said" Take me to my family, they will offer a ransom for me and most likely kill you for your crimes against us Alexander, you made a big mistake challenging us like this."Ajax smiled at her response at struck her on the side of the face before picking up her head and dragging it through the mud before lifting her up and carrying her towards the Pendergast estate.

On the way to the estate Ajax whispered to the woman"My name is Ajax not Alexander, Alexander is dead and you will follow in his footsteps if your family tries to low ball me with the ransom money" As if to reassert his point Ajax threw her onto the floor and dragged her the rest of the way to the estate.
