9 Chapter 9 Breakthrough to second stage

Refining an earth grade pill at the first stage of low level, if anyone knows of this, they would probably consider it as a joke.

Althea finally relaxed and looked inside the cauldron. Inside the cauldron, seven pills were lying. It was white and it looked like a precious pearl shiny and lustrous emitting a faint white light. It was the earth-grade reinvigorating pill, although it doesn't have a Golden pattern on it, it was surely of high quality just by looking at it.

It was reasonable that Althea wasn't able to refine a golden pattern pill this time because, firstly, the reinvigorating pill is an earth-grade pill that only those at High-level alchemist could refine. Secondly, Althea's energy is too little and her strength is only at a low level. But to be able to refine a high-quality earth-grade pill under these circumstances is shocking enough. If it is known by other Alchemists in the land of Dura, they would not hesitate to kowtow in front of Athea.

"Seven pills, it should be enough for a while", said Althea.

Althea had already sensed that she will be able to break through to the second stage of Low level in the next ten days but with the help of reinvigorating pill, she was able to step into the second stage earlier than expected.

After washing away the impurities on her body that was secreted during the breakthrough, she put on a simple white dress and headed toward the dining hall for breakfast.

At the breakfast table, Duriaz looked at Althea and suddenly said, "you.... broke through to the second stage!"

There was a tinge of shock and joy in his voice.

"Continue to work hard", said Duriaz

"Thank you, Father, Mother. I will not disappoint you", Althea said with sincerity.

Duriaz took out a small bottle and said, " I was about to give this to you yesterday, but I found that you were cultivating so I didn't get the chance"

As he said that, he pushed the bottle towards Althea.

Althea was dumbstruck after looking at the bottle. Inside the bottle, there were two blue pills. It was exactly the Golden patterned Energy revitalizing pill she refined.

Althea didn't know how to react, she was the one who gifted these pills to Duriaz. But she also felt warm after knowing that her father went to an auction to bid on this golden pill for her.

"Father, please keep this pill for yourself. I am only at the second stage and I won't be able to consume the pill. Who knows how long it will take for me to reach the third stage. It will be more useful for you.".

Pills are consumed only after stepping into the third stage of low level. Otherwise, it is likely to face a problem in the future. Last night Althea consumed the reinvigorating pill with the help of flame dragon energy. If she didn't have a flame dragon, she could have suffered a backlash from the pill. But she knows that she should not make use of the flame dragon continuously to take the pill before she reaches the third stage.

Duriaz thought for a while and said, "Alright, if you say so Father won't force you"

He put away the bottle and didn't continue with that topic. Instead, Duriaz and Furiana were talking about the appearance of the peerless treasure in the Southern region which had attracted the attention of many powerful people and forces from different regions of the land of Dura.

"We don't know if it's true or not, but the wave it created is undoubtedly strong", Duriaz said with a frown.

"Many people are speculating that the treasure is hidden somewhere in the withering valley which is near Alfing City", Furiana said.

Althea quietly listened to their conversation while eating her breakfast. She didn't say anything, only she knew that there is no such treasure. It was something triggered by her flame dragon but she is not going to tell anyone about it as it concerns her safety and her secret.

After finishing her breakfast, Althea rose from her seat, and before leaving she suddenly said, "We don't have to join them in the fight for treasure, even if we get our hands on it, it will only bring us trouble. We cannot fight against those from the central region"

Althea walked out after saying that. Duriaz and Furiana were surprised at her words but after a moment Duriaz sighed and said, "Althea is correct, we just have to sit back and watch. We cannot compare to those from the central region in terms of strength"

"Yes, but we should be careful this coming day, the southern region won't be peaceful," said Furiana.

Althea continued to cultivate in the coming days. Now her spirit seed could absorb more energy than before, she was quite happy with it and was looking forward to the day when her spirit seed could heal completely.

Meanwhile, many powerful people continued to enter the Southern region in search of peerless treasure.

The man walked towards the table and sat down opposite the lady.
