27 Chapter 27 Southeast Kingdom's Ambition

Furiana and Hruth were shocked after listening to Ryab and Althea exchanging conversations about the beast incident. Both of them only thought that the beast incident months ago was only an internal matter but now it seems the incident was more than an eye can meet.

So, it seems that to annul the engagement, the southeast king went as far as wanting to take Althea's life!

But since they can't do it directly, they make use of the Mori clan and Baro clan's younger generations to eliminate Althea. This way they can remain clean. A perfect and well-planned scheme.

Both of them sucked in a cold breath.

"When my cousins came to bully me, they spouted out everything they went through in the hollow mountain range. They told me how Walion Mori insulted them using my name and that my mother went after them to teach them a lesson, so I went after my mother because I thought Walion Mori wanted to deal with my mother and gave my father a heavy blow and making use of this incident they would dispose of my father from the City Lord position. This way it will be easy for the Mori clan leader to seize the city lord's seat and bringing the whole Alfing town under them. This will benefit their clan and the Mori clan's position among the eight great clans in the southern region will be alleviated too. Their appetite is truly big", explained Althea while looking straight into Ryab eyes.

"It's just, I never thought that there would be another person behind this incident," said Althea after a slight pause.

"Althea, why didn't you tell us about this back then", Hruth asked.

Furiana was also looking at Althea with a questioning gaze.

"Grandfather, Mother, I didn't mean to hide it but all of this was just my analysis, and besides I didn't have any evidence to prove that it was the Mori clan"

"Did you think we won't trust you! silly child. You have endured a lot", Furiana hugged Althea with a teary eye.

Althea knew that her mother is like a white lotus, "Mother, I m alright. And I know you trust me and it is because you trust me that I didn't tell you"

Hruth who was standing at the side nodded his head as he suddenly understood the meaning behind Althea's action back then, his eyes unable to conceal the pride, "I never thought that my granddaughter is too far-sighted, I m proud of you"

Furiana was confused, "What do you guys mean!"

Althea helplessly looked at Hruth with a wry smile.

Hruth laughed lightly putting his fist on his mouth, "Althea didn't tell us because we trust her. Think about it, what would we have done if Althea told us about his analysis back then"

"Of course, we will demand answers from the Mori clan", said Furiana.

"Out of impulse, I would also do that if Althea told me at that time", Hruth said shaking his head.

"But what would have happened if we directly went to Mori clan and started accusing them of the beast incident! Everyone in the clan and city already knew that it was an internal affair and our Baro clan suffered a bad reputation from it. People were talking about how we can't even manage our younger generations and that our clan might fall apart because of internal conflict. So, at that time if we went to the Mori clan and claim that it was their doing without any evidence, our Baro clan will become a laughing stock in front of everyone. It will look like we are slandering the Mori clan and pouring all the dirty water on them trying to wash ourselves clean", Hruth explained calmly with his gaze fixated on Althea.

"So, that means my daughter has been enduring all of this alone", Furiana who suddenly got enlightened after listening to her father was even more shocked and she felt pity for Althea.

Northem who was standing behind looked at Althea's small back with veneration. His admiration for Althea reached another level today. Someone who is farsighted and able to analyze the whole situation from small clues indeed cannot be trapped inside this small region for long. He believed that one day his young miss will be able to gain a foothold in the land of Dura. To be able to follow someone with this kind of potential, Northem was bursting with joy and excitement inside in mind though he looked calm from the outside at this moment.

"Mother don't worry, they will eventually get their retribution soon" Althea comforted her mother.

After interrogating Ryan for a while, they dug out some more guards working under him.

Turning towards her grandfather, Althea said, "Grandfather, I will leave them to you now"

Hruth nodded his head, "Guards, take them to the Clan's dungeon and locked them up. No one is permitted to meet any of them without my permission"

After sending the traitors out, without beating around the push, Althea directly asked, "Grandfather, back to the main topic we were discussing. About the 'void scepter', why did Grandfather told us about it? I believe things are not as simple as it looks"

Taking a seat, Hruth nodded, "That's right, the main reason why I called you and your mother here is to let you warn your father about the Southeast Kingdom. If I directly called your father here for his presence, with how intelligent and shrewd Joryth Fasio is, he will get wind of it that I know something of his plan"

Listening to Hruth, Althea's expression changed and she turned serious. 'With how careful and cautious grandfather is, regarding this matter, it seems things are getting interesting' thought Althea because she is sure that the powerhouses are involved in this matter.

"Grandfather, if the Beast Tamer organizations want to help the Southeast King in conquering the whole of Southern region, then they have to go against the Rainbow Cloud Academy because right now the southern region is under them", said Althea

She had a bad premonition. The Beast Tamer organization might have some trick up their sleeves.
