Open eyes

Malus looked up to Zal'tai still clutching his eye "I had things handled just fine" Zal'tai scoffed and pulled him off the ground and eyed him up and down inspecting his injuries "the kid barely touched you, what are you doing on the ground?" Malus let out a painful laugh and attempted to stand on his own before falling into Zal'tais arms

"you kidding me, that boy couldn't hurt me if i did nothing, my bloody eye burns"

"move your hands let me see" Zal'tai began to peel his hands way from his face to see tendrils of inky black fluid surrounding Malus's eye, slowly encompassing the entirety of his eye.

"How bad is it?" Malus looked up at Zal'tai and realized that there was a strange cloudy mist like substance surrounding Zal'tai or anyone else he looked at of various shades of red and black. Malus slowly recovered his posture with the aid of Zal'tai occasionally wincing from the excruciating pain and looked around the room, all of the other students were standing in awe except the blonde boy who was ugly crying and mumbling threats and insults. Malus could hear students whispering through out to crowd.

"Is that a djnn?"

"I think it's an Ifrit, but whats it doing here?"

"ifrits are kinds of djnn you dumb ass they live in the plane of fire"

"I think someone summoned it"

"thats a high level summon the only ones who could have summoned it would have been a teacher and why would they have thrown maverick if it was a teacher?"

"wait an Ifrit, didn't we get a new summoning teacher who was known for Ifrit?"

"Yea it's that really famous lady"

Malus pondered what he had just heard for a moment [wait, famous summoner? moms a famous summoner but she would't teach at this school would she?]

almost on cue a door on the opposite side of the chamber from the door Malus entered through where teachers began filing into the room until there were teachers from wall to wall until finally a middle aged man walked through the door and stopped in the center front, he made an elaborate hand gesture with both hands before raising them into the air and as he raised them the ground beneath the teachers raised up about 2 feat creating a makeshift stage and then he made a similar gesture with one hand and raised himself another half foot. The man was about to start talking when one of the teachers burst out of the crowd of teachers and charged toward Malus screaming "Malus Parview Briarheart What in the nine hells are you doing" Malus immediately recognized the teacher to be his mother [huh so my middle name is parview and my last name is briarheart good to know] as she approached the blonde boy previously identified as maverick shuffled in front of her shouting "You, teacher, this commoner assaulted me i demand you punish him and remove him from the school this second and kill this filthy slave breed as well" Malus watched as a deep red mist formed around his mother where there was previously no mist at all, she flicked her hand and maverick flew into the air and smashed into the table where he had previously landed causing a crunch noise as the bench and likely a few of his bones broke and as quickly as it appeared the red mist vanished a green and blue on took its place. As soon as the green and blue mist appeared Malus' right eye (the one that had turned green) burned with greater intensity than the first eye. Malus howled in pain and clutched his face as he passed out from the pain falling flat on his face. Malus found himself standing perfectly in between a forest and a field of green grass. [oh i'm here again, joy] Malus looked straight ahead to see a perfect stop and start between the grass and trees, not even a stray root bleeding into the grass. Malus looked off into the grassland and noticed a single tree off in the distance. "what are you looking at?" a familiar voice came from behind him, Malus swiveled around and came face to face with himself except his left eye was black as the void and his skin was a slightly darker shade. Malus jumped and yelped "Jesus dood don't just appear like that" he glared at himself for a moment before turning back to look at the tree and jumping again, this time not as high, when standing before him was another him only his right eye was black as void and his skin was a slightly paler shade. "what is with you two and popping up" the two took a couple steps in front of malus and stood side by side on their respective biome. The two looked at each other and back to Malus and spoke in unison.

"we didn't expect to see you here so soon, you aren't due for another couple years"

Malus cocked his head and began furrowing his brow in confusion. "what do you mean?"

"the seal shouldn't be loose enough for you to be here for at least another year or two yet here you are."

Malus pondered for a moment "what happened out there, what happened to my eyes?"

"We cannot say for sure as we are you but our guess is that the seal loosened much faster than it should have causing your eyes to activate, which also what brought you here."

Malus reeled from this information as thoughts sped through his head a mile a minute.

"what do you mean activated? what was that misty stuff?"

As Malus asked this the ground shook violently and the boys looked at each for a moment and shrugged before turning back to Malus

"Your time here is up, we're sure we will see you again sooner than expected"

The ground shook again and the two boys vanished and Malus shot upright in a bed smacking his head against another person who was looming over them.
