11 Preparations

"Why haven't you sent the invitation for your company's cosmetics launching to your elder sister. You know that your sister needs more exposure than you do. I heard many prominent people will be present there so don't act so wilful and do as you are told," went the second message. All the messages were from her mum, but all the twelve messages were all about her sister. She hasn't gone home for almost a year now but her mum did not even ask about her wellbeing instead she was only concerned about her sister. These have happened so many times, she thought she was used to it by now, but it still hurts badly. When she was little, she did everything possible to make her mum like her even the slightest bit, but no matter what she did, her mum did not treat her any better.

"Why should I help her when all I have gotten from her is nothing but heart-wrenching pains? Why should I introduce her to my high socialites friends when she will only belittle me after I have done that? I don't give a damn about what becomes of her future. I only care about my future and my happiness. I have been putting up with her abusive words and actions all these years not because I am foolish. I know what I was doing, but your time to hurt me is over," Stephanie said as she shut her eyes. Her life till age fifteen were nightmares for her. She despised thinking about those years because they hold the most painful part of her memories. She despised the cowardice her back then.

"Why didn't you fight back then? Why did you allow yourself to be constantly bullied without fighting back?" She has always asked herself. For Stephanie, life became better at age sixteen. She just needed a miracle to turn the tables around and that miracle came to her the day she decided to end her life, that is why she has made excellent use of this her newfound life. Her life would have been greater than this, but she specifically chooses this type of life. She has lived a life of fame and affluence for over eight years. She was now tired of it. A peaceful life is the life she needed, and she was happy with it. Stephanie rose and shower after resting for twenty minutes. Work would be hectic, so she needed maximum amount of rest to perform efficiently. She went to sleep thinking about the voices she heard earlier in the restaurant. She wished she had at least seen their faces, then she would have known how to go about searching for them.

Tonight again, she dreamt about her reunion with Young Master V. The surprising thing about her constant dreams was that she always forgets the face of V whenever she wakes up. She would have at least sketched his face to aide her in her search if she had recalled what he looks like in her dream, but unfortunately she didn't. It looks like the universe was against her search for him.

She rose early in the morning, showered and went to work without having her breakfast. She had so many preparations to make for the upcoming launching; they was no time to waste. Inside her car, she quickly checked her schedule for the day as her driver drove her to the company. Her company deals with only cosmetics. Cosmetics of different types from all over the world but she made the new cosmetic that her company was planning to launch. She initiated the idea. With her solely in charge of organising the events her schedule was packed leaving her with no space for herself. Her driver packed in front of a tall glass building.

"Young Miss, we are here," the driver informed the busy Stephanie politely.

"Don't forget to come pick me up at 3:00 pm after my interview with the media. I won't tolerate any form of lateness, got it?" Stephanie sternly.

"Understood," the driver replied. Stephanie stepped out of the car with elegance. Dressed in a white suit and pants, she looked so breathtakingly beautiful. She looks just too gorgeous. Her assistant was already waiting outside for her arrival.

"Good morning Miss Stephanie," Lily, Stephanie's assistant greeted offering to take her bag and files in her hands but Stephanie signalled her not to worry. Lily is twenty-three years old lady who loves wearing glasses. She is a tall and beautiful woman.

"How is the decorations of the hall going? Were you able to get all the technicians and best event planner?" Stephanie asked, heading to her office and Lily following close behind.

"Miss Woods, you don't have to worry about all the settings and arrangements of the hall, I got the best event planner for it and they are already at work. They assured me that the hall will look exactly like how you wanted," Lily said confidently.

"Ok, I will visit the venue tomorrow to oversee how things are going over there but What about the reporters that wanted to do a live interview? Are they still coming and what about the questions I asked you to set for the interview?" Stephanie asked. Her expression was firm and confident as she talked, but deep down she was anxious. She wanted everything to be perfect before the D-Day.

"Yes, the reporters will be here by 1: 00pm and I have already set all the questions for the interview," Lily replied pressing the elevator button heading to the third floor.

"All the departments were supposed to be present at the press conference room, I hope all the department leaders are aware of this and inform our factory about my appointment in the factory by 4:00 pm," Stephanie said stepping out of the elevator.

"And one more thing. Inform everyone to prepare themselves to welcome the Owner. She is coming today, although I am not sure about the time she will arrive," Stephanie said. She halted when she saw that Lily was still following her.

"Stop following me and pass the information to everyone. I will hold you responsible if anything goes wrong that is if they do not kill you before I do if the Owner caught them unawares again," Stephanie said smiling at her before she entered her office.
