"What? I thought you said you couldn't make it?" Stephanie remarked smiling as she held onto the guy's left arm and climb down the stairs.

"How could I do that to my lovely sister. I was planning to surprise you and I am glad it worked. You look as beautiful as usual," Clifford complimented as he opens the door of the car for her. He hurried to the driver's seat afterwards.

"I love your surprise," Stephanie said still maintaining her smiling expression.

"Congratulations on your launching. I wish you success," Clifford said handing her a bouquet of flower. He fastened his seatbelts and drove off.

"You are full of surprises today. You are actually the first person to offer me flowers today. This is amazing," Stephanie said sniffing the fragrance of the flower. So many ladies love red roses but she loves purple rose. She always feels alive and light-hearted whenever she sniffed the fragrance smell of the flower.

"I wanted to be the first today and I am glad I did," Clifford exclaimed taking another look at his sister.

"Steph, you aren't going to wear this on the event right?" Clifford asked curiously. "It's a known fact that you look spectacular in whatever you put on but tell me you aren't wearing these outfits."

"What? Wear this?" Stephanie asked pointing her index finger at her clothes. "Being away from the circular world does not mean that my fashion sense is dead. I am Stephanie Woods, world most anticipated female so you don't expect me to wear this office attire to my company's event," Stephanie said playfully.

"If not this then what are you putting on later? At least give me a hint," Clifford said persuasively. Stephanie could read through his expression that he was up to something mischievous with the manner he was asking her for the colour of her attire.

"I know what you are up to so I am not gonna give you any hints about my outfits and don't try to ask Lily because I have sternly warned her not to disclose any information about my attire to you," Stephanie said smiling.

"Ok, ok, I won't ask anymore since you've caught me this time around," Clifford said displeased that his plans were already discovered before he could get the information from her. After some minutes of silence, Clifford spoke up.

"I heard Victoria miraculously got her hands on the invitation card. I am sure she is up to no good again. Her targets this time around will be you as usual so be careful," Clifford warned out of concerned. He knew how evil his stepsister is. She will do everything possible to make sure Stephanie is humiliated wherever she goes.

"Big bro, leave her to me. She has declared war against me and I will make her regret the day she uttered that war against me," Stephanie said smiling devilishly.

"You know about her plans this time too?" Clifford asked giving her weird glances. Since Stephanie turned twenty, she has been acting strange. She foresees what will happen in the future before it even happens.

Stephanie smiled when she saw his bewildered expression. It has been six long year's since this happened to her but Clifford has still not gotten used to this side of hers.

"I know I have asked you this countless times but you have never given me a proper answer and I will still ask you again. How do you always know terrible things that will happen to you and those around you before it even happens? Do you perhaps have some superpowers that I am not aware of?" Clifford asked taking a quick glance at her before he focuses his gaze on the road.

"I heard everything that happened to me even before I was given birth to was already predestined including this strange side of mine. Even I sometimes wonder why I am a little bit different from others. I wished I had this kind of ability when I was four years old then I wouldn't have experienced that nightmare called childhood," Stephanie said getting pissed off when she recalled those haunted childhood memories of hers.

"You don't have to feel bad about the past. At least with this ability of yours, you won't suffer the way you did in your childhood in the hands of your haters," Clifford said tapping her shoulders with his right hand while the other hand was on the steering.

"I just wish you are right," Stephanie said closing her eyes. She fought back fiercely trying to push all the painful memories away. She stayed like that until they got to her destination.

"Girl, we have arrived," Clifford announced tapping her gently.

"This is your biggest event in three years. Don't let anything ruin your mood. Smile broadly, your mere smile will anger all your enemies," Clifford said beaming at her. He likes her most when she smiles.

"You are right, big bro. A mere smile from me will knock them off their feet thereby making me the sole victor," Stephanie said smiling.

"That's the spirit. I will formally make an appearance when it opens so for now, I will leave you here," Clifford said getting out of the car to open the door for her

"Ok, but don't arrive at the end of the event or I will so much get mad at you, " Stephanie warned before she takes steady but elegant steps towards the entrance of a huge building with the words 'Sky-Palace hotel boldly' written on it. Sky Palace hotel was number one most popular hotel in City S which houses the grandest event hall in the City. Only those who are the elites of the elites can afford to rent the hall. Lily who saw her boss' text message earlier was already waiting for her at the entrance.

"Good morning, Miss Woods," She greeted, offering to take her handbag as usual.

"Nevermind," Stephanie rejected her help politely. "How is the set up going? I hope everything is perfect?" Stephanies asked. Her voice shows she wouldn't receive no for an answer.

"Yes, all the setups are perfect and also all our employees are present," Lily informed firmly.

"Excellent, I can't wait for 3:00 pm to reach," Stephanie said as a huge door automatically opens reveal a brilliant sight before them. The theme of their event was purple so all their setups had a touch of purple.
