1 Princess Consort Kaetrina

Her long lashes fluttered and her eyes opened. She looked around to discover she was on a strange but comfortable bed. She sat up and a sharp pain went through her head forcing her to lie down again.

When the headache had subsided, she sat up gently and massaged her temple. Where she lay was a king-sized bed with velvet sheets and had velvet curtains covering it. She stood from the bed, parted the curtain and accessed the room. It was a large room that obviously belonged to a female.

The room was cream colored and exquisitely decorated, showing the wealth of the owner. She saw a beside table with a mirror and various jewelry and makeup boxes on it. Looking in the mirror, she discovered her hair was no longer blonde, it was black. Her irises were blue with a hint of scarlet in them. She was decked in a white dress and her face was pale.

While she observed her new body in the mirror, the sharp pain came again and this time, it made her collapse on the cold floor and hold her head in pure agony. She dived in and out of consciousness as various pictures flashed through her eyes. She came to know it was the memories of the other part of her soul.

Her name was Kaetrina, a princess from the Valvir Empire. She was a vicious person, a complete contrast to her former behavior. She was married off to Prince Deasmond of the Firore Empire. She of course hated the marriage as it was a diplomatic one and often caused trouble in the palace. She offended the prince's favorite consort one day and it lead to her murder. Surprisingly, it was the same person as the lily from her former life and the flames of anger rose once again. Since she couldn't get revenge for her other life, she could get revenge in this one.

Rising from the cold floor, she stroked her chin and started to organize her goals. This world was vastly different from hers as it was a magical world. It wasn't as traditional as one might expect as the technology of this world was quite advanced, even more than that of earth. They had a substance called Ether which could be absorbed into a place in the body called the elixir cave and used for cultivation.

It wasn't as if Kaetrina couldn't cultivate, it was just that there was no suitable cultivation technique for her, so she was stuck at a realm for a long time. Since she couldn't do anything for now, she thought of a way of accessing her special soul.

She heard a cackle and her consciousness was pulled away in a blink of an eye into her elixir cave. She stood in her red soul form in front of a bony giant seated on a black metal throne, looking at her with amusement through the red fiery orbs that acted as his eyes. His cackle was heard again, shocking her.

'Who are you?' She thought in trepidation.

{That nosy god ought to have told you who I am}

'You are the evil god, Tembrem?'

{Yes}

'Why did you summon me?'

{Because you're my inheritor. Special souls created by Ariama to be mentored by some of the gods. Since I quite like you, I will give you an introduction to what we're doing here.

I will impart an evil god technique to you which will enable you to ascend to godhood. Once you do that, you'd be able to get revenge on the one that murdered you}

'What do you get from this?'

{I am a bored old god, so I'd get fascination from this. Your life would be live streamed for the excitement of the other gods. My goal is quite simple. I want you to take over this world and get revenge against those who plot against you. I would give you missions from time to time as well as rewards} the bony giant shrugged.

{So, do you accept the legacy of the evil god Tembrem?}

'Yes' he gave a wide smile and touched his two 'eyes', drawing a ball of red energy from them and putting it on her forehead before expelling her from the cave.

The accommodation of the information was easier this time. She received a scripture from the old god which had a record of all the things required and how to cultivate. It was called [The yin laws of chaos and the great void scripture], something that was written by the evil god himself. It required her to ruminate on what is called the Chaos law and the Void law and to form the Ether of Chaos and the Ether of the void.

Since she was a philosopher in her previous world, it wasn't all that challenging to her. It had been two days since she had awoken, and no one had come to see her. It was truly puzzling, and it bothered her because she had been hungry. Since she had started cultivating all the way from the beginning after abolishing her former cultivation, the ether from the world replenished her body but it wasn't enough. She decided to step out of her room.

The outside was nothing she expected. It looked like she stepped through a portal to travel to ancient Korea. From her memory, it seemed like different dynasties preferred different architectures to match some their ancestries. It only seemed grander with modern architecture infused in it.

Using her memories, she located the imperial kitchen. It was kept tidy at all times because that was where the meals for the imperial family were cooked. By this time, they were preparing lunch so Kaetrina could get a bite to eat. Her stomach rumbled at the thought of food and she stopped a cooking maid.

"Hey you, can I get something to eat?" The maid squeaked loudly when she was stopped and when she saw Kaetrina, she started shivering.

"Princess Consort Kaetrina, you're alive" she stuttered.

"Of course I'm alive. Is that why I haven't been getting food? Because you think I'm dead? You guys sure are ridiculous. Bring something for me to eat to my chambers right away!" She ordered in annoyance.

"Yes your highness" the maid replied and scampered away.

She strutted back to her room where she resumed her cultivation. Her food came not long after. She stopped cultivating and watched as they set her lunch and only started eating when they left.

The food was rich in both nutrients and ether. She felt her elixir cave expand and solidify with each bite. She even had a foodgarsm eating the delicious food till the point of moaning. The imperial kitchen had an excellent cook.

She cleared the meal and pat her bloated stomach. After ordering the servants to clear the dishes, she did a few exercises and resumed cultivating.

A month went by like that and no one had come to see her apart from the ones delivering her food. She had reached the peak of the mortal tempering realm, which was faster than her former speed which took half a year.

The realms for cultivation are:

- The ether absorption realm

- The mortal tribulations realm

- The immortal tempering realm

- Rings of immortal realm

- Immortal Elixir realm

- Immortal Dharma realm

- The immortal tribulations realm

- Heavenly Elixir realm

Each stage had nine levels and are very hard to overcome as one goes higher in realms. The current Emperor was at the first ring of the immortal realm. It showed how difficult advancement was.

Kaetrina was back into her elixir cave staring at the giant skeleton.

-Side quest one: Reach the immortal tribulations realm. Reward: God rank purification pill.

-Side quest two: Torture and kill Consort Laila. Reward: Dharma armament 'Mask of the Evil god'.

-Side quest three: Eliminate the imperial family of both empire. Reward: Sword of the Evil god and two legend rank healing pills}

"Why is it important to kill the imperial families?"

{Because they would kill you if you do not}

"Fine. I'd get them to kill themselves. That counts, right?"

{Manipulation is a good trait of the evil god so, it does count} Kaetrina bowed and exited the elixir cave.

As a starter pack, the evil god had given her a god rank foundation pill which put her foundation in the highest stable level and made it easier to refine ether. She stayed in her room, doing physical exercises like the one she used for her mortal tempering realm. Her physical body was bursting with energy, reaching the third layer of the ether absorption realm while she just stepped into the ether absorption realm.

She decided to go on closed door cultivation since she had nothing to do anyways and she always had a steady food supply. Three months past and she reached the peak of ether absorption realm. Tembrem told her she needs to get rid of her mortal shackles and go out to train so as to reach the mortal tribulations realm.

As she was thinking about how she would leave the palace for training, the door of her room swung open to reveal the most handsome man she had ever seen and her current husband, Prince Daesmond. She smiled and bowed to greet the prince.
