1 The rebirth of a King....

"Alex stop running, you know you can't get away from us this time, we have the building surrounded. Your time as a serial killer is over, before you get put down, tell me why? Why did you kill all of those people?"

Alex turned to the man closing in on him and said" I killed no one innocent, you have been a wild goose chase this entire fucking time, I only killed those who shot at me first. That is the truth but I guess you will be someone who shots at me first and requires me to retaliate in order to survive." Alex then pulled a gun on the man but before he could move a single sound echoed in the room, the sound of glass breaking,

Alex looked down and saw a hole in his body with a lot of blood flowing out onto the ground, he smiled and said"It seems the real killer has had enough of using me as a scapegoat. Just so you know I killed a lot of people that you have never heard of, I'm innocent of the crimes you are accusing me of but the other ones make these seem petty." Before he closed his eyes for the last time he flipped off the special agent who had been pursuing him for years.

As he bled out on the floor, a small box he wore around his neck began dissolving into his body and the message 'Transporting the host' repeated constantly through his head, until his body just disappeared from the cold hard floor it had bled out on. Alex awoke to the sound of a Dragon roaring and two his surprise he was now kneeling in front of a Dragon that was encased in gold.

The gold statue broke and the dragon closed distance between Alex and itself before speaking "We have finally been reunited my King. We will begin fusing together shortly, the box you protected in your last life contained my soul. It was travelling through out the universes to find someone suitable enough to become the next Dragon-Human king. The box will act as an interface for you to spend your experience to develop your spells and abilities while the fusion between us will grant you immense potential in both combat and statesmanship. The box will also give you directions and rewards based on whether you complete the requests it and I give you."

Alex began to laugh" So that little box was worth dying for in the end then? I'm glad I took a chance on it, lets just gets this process started, I humbly accept the offer to become the king of this species.Can I get some basic information on whatever world you will be sending me too?"

The Dragon smiled and said" The planet is called Astoria, other than that I think it is best for you to discover it on your own. The world is filled with magic and a counter of it called Battle spirit, you will be told about this by the system when it deems it important, the time for our souls to blend into one has come my king, may we rule for eternity."

The Dragon proceeded to eat Alex and the last thing he remembered was the agony of being burned alive in a heat hotter than anything he had ever felt before...

"There it is, the shooting star in the legend, the one that predicts that today is the day that a great king will be born, the king will eventually gather his forces and exterminate all those who stand in his way. Gather our army and follow the star, it is rumoured that the king himself is in the star and if that is the truth then we need to kill him before he can rise to power."

"Yes my king, we can have the cavalry ready to ride out in an hour maximum, the rest of the troops will follow behind and catch up as soon as possible. Your majesty, if we are able to see the star form here, it is likely the other kingdoms and tribes on the continent will be able to see the star as well. They will most likely do the same as us. What are your instructions if we are to encounter any of the other kingdoms?"

The king smiled in his throne and said"Kill everyone who is not considered a direct ally of our kingdom regardless of the kingdom they serve. We can use this as an opportunity to thin the ranks of our rivals as well as kill the legend before he can us."
