One Sided Massacre

After a while the headache she got went away. She tried to recollect her memories of what just happened, but couldn't remember ever hearing this prophecy. So she took a look around her near vicinity. When she saw that the entrance to the underground area where she came from was gone.

She tried to find the entrance again, but to no avail. Thus she focused on the path before her. She was currently in some sort of forest.

As she walked through the umber-brown, ancient like forest. It was clearly a very old forest. Its woody incense was from centuries of snapping branches crashing to the forest's floor and rotting silently. The composting, organic smell rose up in waves like a miasma.

She decided to venture deeper into this ancient forest. She hoped that it would reveal a path where she can find other people which may help her.

The further she went, the more mystical the forest became. Huge roots spread around the ground. The foliage became thick and lush, forming an arch of green above her head. Red roses flanked the trail, making it impenetrable on either side.

Shuffling noises came from the end of the trail, deadened by the astonishing woven web of leaves. A troupe of human like persons fought against some sort of monster with a horn right in front of her.

"Commander, what should we do, we cant fight against a minotaur. Henric and Ysabel died already." One soldier spoke in a fierce ton hardened by the current ongoing slaughter.

"Gib stay calm, we have to kill this minotaur. Otherwise the Princess will die!" The Commander spoke back to the soldier named Gib.

The cold hands of the soldiers gripped the gelid swords. While they tried to stand a chance against the minotaur. Seconds passed and more and more soldiers were slashed by the minotaur and his iron two-handed sword sliced through the remaining soldiers. Only the soldier named Gib and the commander stood before a wooden carriage where the princess is supposed to be in.

It was carnage. Their hearts pounded against their rib cages and their neck hairs felt like pins with the terror of it all. The minotaur had deep red eyes and they were festering with hatred and hunger for us.

The minotaurs sword rose and in the span of a second the minotaur slashed the solder named Gib and thus he fell to the ground. Molten-red blood gushed out from the deadly wound the strike caused.

The commander screamed: "Gib!" While he rushed to the minotaur to strike him while he had his sword down. But due to the minotaurs overwhelming strength this move was prevented. The strike from the monster hit him and soon a jet of blood surged into the air from the wound.

The cold hands of the commander gripped the cold, steel sword. The sky went profane-black. And soon the commander fell down and died.

The field is littered with blood and bodies of dead human knights. Red, silver and blue are the new colors of what was once a peaceful, green forest, which has now become the stage of a medium scale massacre by a minotaur.

The air which would normally carry the delicate scents of flowers and fruits is now a barrage of silent sounds.

Two barely trained groups fought against the minotaur, but it's clear who has won. The dead and wounded of the losing side lay in large groups across the field.

With the rush of victory coursing through the body of the minotaur paired with hunger of it, the minotaur pushes on and on to get the remaining survivors inside the carriage. It has succumbed to bloodlust and is frantically killing any enemy in sight who showed signs of being alive.

The toll on both nature and humanity is enormous. It'll likely take months before this field will have recovered. It's clear gore, weaponry and bodies have taken the place of flowers, trees and plants.

And she, she just watched the slaughter and hid behind a bush not making a single sound as to not get noticed by this monster that just slaughtered the knights in armor. The minotaur walked to the carriage ripped open the door of the carriage and went inside.

Soon enough female screams could be heard inside the carriage. Probably from the princess and her maid. After a few seconds the voices died down and only a rumbling wooden carriage could be heard.

The girl hiding behind the bush, tried to hold her breath as to not give her presence away. Minutes passed and rumbling died down.

The monster went outside the carriage holding in his hands the dead body of the princess. The dress worn by the princess was torn apart and dyed in complete red. On closer inspection anyone could see that in the lower parts of the princess near her nether region white fluids came gushing out.

Because of the sight of this horrific scene she let out a shriek thus notifying the minotaur of her presence.

Sorry for the lack of updates the past 2 days. Hope you all can forgive me.
