9 Ch. 9 [Misty Ghost Class D]

PRANG!

Before Noah could even ask questions, the sound of shattered glass became the center of attention. The cafe that Noah and Ethan were visiting was in ruins. Everyone near the window that led onto the street screamed in terror.

"O, LORD! WHAT IS THAT CREATED !?"

"Heechul this way!"

"Mama! I'm scared!"

"Everyone! This way!"

"STAY AWAY FROM THERE!"

Everyone panicked and ran over to the person who had experienced [Awakening].

The surrounding smoke puffs, as a result of [False] 's actions that hit the cafe windows and ravaged those nearby, making it difficult for Noah to breathe. He coughed and waved his hand to get rid of the smoke around him.

[TRING!]

The sound of the notification returned to Noah's eardrums. He was creaking with annoyance just now and suddenly the floating screen again bothered him and blocked his view.

[Misty Ghost - Class D initiates attack]

After reading the notice, Noah rolled his eyes. Since Ethan was beside him, he felt curious and turned his head to the side.

Ethan was staring at [Misty Ghost] with a look of resistance. No floating screen appeared in front of him and it took him by surprise.

"Ethan did not get the notification?" thought Noah whose current mind was not on the [False] called [Misty Ghost].

The puffs of smoke grew thicker and everyone inside the cafe became coughing. Even Hunters who have magic can't use their magic because the lack of oxygen makes them lose focus.

'It's not the smoke from the rubble, it's the smoke that the [Misty Ghost] made!' Noah finally realized what had happened.

"It can't be done!"

Ethan thoughtlessly clenched his jaw and explained the muscles in his right hand. A dark grayish orange glow surrounded her wrists and her eyes lit up brightly.

BAG!

KREK!

NOT!

The sound of the assembly became the center of attention of those around him. The steel formed a large ax that was as large as Ethan's body. His magic is active which is indicated by his eyeballs that emit a dark grayish orange light and the large ax in his hand.

"[Armor Axe]," he said in a cold tone. His gaze was straight ahead who was his enemy, [False].

'So, he's [Berseker],' concluded Noah, staring silently at Ethan through the corner of his eye.

[TRING!]

Once again, the message rang and filled Noah's ears. He was sobbing and cursing because his ears seemed like he would go deaf if he went through his days with this annoying [System] sound.

'What if a [Player] is in a precarious state and then he has a heart attack because of the [System] sound.'

Noah made up his own story. Of course, there was no way that would happen and he let out a sinister laugh.

'Hmph. Die silly,' thought Noah in between his own jokes.

[Daily Quest is unlocked.

Defeat [Misty Ghost - Class D Type] within [00:59:58]

The floating blue screen revealed a threatening-looking text. Like the [Daily Quest] of the game, Noah gave the screen a look of protest.

"This is crazy," muttered Noah who was still staring incredulously at his [Daily Quest].

'I did experience [Awakening] just now, but my magic is completely unusable,' he thought.

He stared at his hands, which were pale and sweaty cold.

'No.' Noah clenched his hands.

'I have to beat him. I don't know what kind of [Penalty] it says [System]. In order to prevent it, I must defeat the [False]. '

His eyes were fixed on [Misty Ghost] which made ordinary people scared to see him. Indeed, his face was like a ghost and the [False] did not land on the ground. The white mist that dispels the view is the hallmark of the [False].

Noah, who had seen the [False] the first time in closer than his distance to the Golem, felt the hair on his neck rise. He was amazed at what he was going through and praised the [Misty Ghost].

"He sure has a strong personality," he retorted.

But, without realizing it, a table far away from him flew up and charged at him at an unpredictable speed.

The table almost hit Noah who was standing staring at him. In the blink of an eye, the table that had been attacking Noah was shattered.

Not enough time for a few seconds, Noah realized what was going on. the hair on his neck that had been standing finally got the answer that his life was almost taken by the angel of death.

"What was that?" thought Noah in surprise.

He looked back with his sharp eyes rounded and revealed that his bead which was colored midnight express was clearer than before.

Yes. The table was out of shape. Shattered into pieces and leaving fibers.

'If I hit his attack, I will definitely be crushed!' Cold sweat started to run down his forehead, and he quickly wiped it off with the back of his hand.

He looked straight ahead again to see the [Misty Ghost] that had just attacked him. A look of resistance appeared on him, even though he still felt doubt in his heart. His magic or power still couldn't be used by him.

"[Status]."

The screen blocking Noah's sight revealed his [Status]. Calculated and despite being in a state of shock, Noah watched as the surroundings were preoccupied with the [Misty Ghost] attack.

'Since when do I have [Mana]?' he thought.

But he didn't want to take the complicated path. Spontaneously Noah brushed off all kinds of questions that arose in his mind and looked at the Hunters -including Ethan- was busy attacking the [False Ghost] which had a strong defense system.

BRAK!

The sound of a large stone-shaped object hitting the [Misty Ghost] shield was a faint white mist. One Hunter who attempted to attack the [Misty Ghost] head smiled stiffly. His fear was even greater which was clearly visible in his two hands that stretched forward.

The [Misty Ghost] who felt the strong attack from the Hunter turned his head quickly. With its o-shaped mouth widened and what was inside the mouth glowed and grew bigger.

CTAS!

Lasers shot out of the [Misty Ghost] mouth and shot out rapidly. The dazzling light made everyone watching it have to close their eyes. With a deft nature, Ethan who was a [Berseker] jumped towards the Hunter and blocked the [Misty Ghost] attack with his [Armor Axe].

TRANG!

The attack was pushed over by Ethan and hit another object. The table that had become a pile of damaged goods immediately exploded.

BLAR!!!

After the enemy's attack was repelled, [False] which was the [Misty Ghost] looked away. He looked to his side where a man in black hair was standing while staring at his [Status Screen].

The [False] opened its mouth again and targeted its attack at the man. The smoke around him grew thicker and Ethan, who noticed the movement of the [False], shouted that the person standing by was his friend.

"Altair Noah!" shouted Ethan loudly.

Noah spontaneously closed the screen floating in front of him and immediately turned to the source of the sound. Still unaware of the situation, Ethan, whose breathing was not working properly, quickly got up from where he was standing. Immediately protect Noah even though he is not a [Tanker].

"BEHIND YOU!"

Ethan continued his paused sentence. However, unfortunately, it was too late. The [Misty Ghost] had gathered its attacks in its mouth and was rapidly darting towards Noah.

THUD.

Instantly his vision darkened and the voices of the noisy people became silent.
