1 Extermination

We never stood a chance it was an utter annihilation but you could say it was for the best, with the way humans where going the earth wasn't gonna last. Billions of people died in a blink of an eye, they never even saw what killed them. They called them selves the Eirno or higher lifeforms who where purging us so we could grow, but i call bullshit on that they simply wanted to kill us you could see it in their eyes. The first strikes where on major city and military bases they crippled our economy, military, and communication in one swift move. I lived on a small farm outside of Denver I was on top of the grain silo when I saw the destruction of the city, one moment everything was fine the next a large explosion ripped the city apart. That was only a taste of what was to come after that came the ground troops large hulking androids we called them terminators, the swept through the country shoot anything in site. Many more died including my family I hide in the attic but i could hear the screams I was only 8 years old, after that nothing for weeks people started to venture out only to find the land barren. The city's where gone and many animals where hunted but people lived on for months then came the final wave they flew in on ships gunning down people who grouped together. The played a message across the world the Eirno leader himself spoke to us all telling us of our new role in the galaxy we where insignificant and could be killed at any moment by anyone who wished to but they where benevolent. They let us live to grow and challenge them just so they could crush us once more to prove themselves the strongest species something they had done for eons. After that they truly left I went about tending the farm for many years I grew food ate it and stored the rest for four years I didn't see another soul, the plants started to grow larger and more vibrant the forests reclaimed miles of land with trees towering over the world. It seems with out humans the world was better thriving at an astonishing rate, the same applied to animals I saw rabbits the size of dogs. I taught myself many skills including hunting, tracking, parkour, and how to prepare and cook animals I found books on plants in my fathers study helping me avoid poisons and find medical plants. I started to grow after a year much like the surroundings I was easily 5"7 and I had a lean muscle I was tending to some crops when I saw people for the first time.

???: Boy help us my friend has been injured he need medical attention!

Lucien: Hurry quick bring him over here.

I lead them over to my work table the I hurriedly cleaned off and the set the injured man down a rag covered his leg. blood soaked through the rag. There where three men the leader was tall with a gruff beard, next to him was slightly smaller man clean shaven with deep blue eyes both towerd over me as i inspected there friend. His leg had a long cut shallow but it was deadly if not treated, I ran inside and got some plants and a sowing kit as well as a rag and water. I worked on the wound and talked to the tallest of the men.

Ben: We where on are way to a camp near hear when a huge beast jumped out and attacked him it looked like a lion but was larger that any of us.

He was shaking and the man next to him was staring at me with out a word I payed him no mind, I let my guard down just happy to talk to people again.

Jim: Do you live here alone?

The man who had been staring finally spoke i had heard his name from Ben, maybe it was due to the lack of social interaction or I was going crazy I told him.

Lucien: i'm alone no one around for miles sadly but I have all I need here. We should let your friend rest I'll show you to the guest rooms.

I lead them down the hall leaving their friend on the couch bandaged up, I went to my room and slept without a care that strangers where in my house. I woke up in the middle of the night I heard whispering outside my door I could't make out any words but i knew something was up. I open up the door, standing there was Ben and Jim who looked over at me with lewd expressions. There where no words Ben grabbed my arms while Jim my legs they bound me and throw me onto my bed I heard a belt buckle and saw Ben standing over me grinning. I felt my cloths being torn off my body and after that it became a blur they took turns I heard each grunt and felt when they came inside me. For a while I cried but after a while I had no tears left, hey left first thing in the morning taking their friend with them leaving me alone, I filled up the tub with water and just sat in it for hours holding myself. I cried for hours but I knew i needed to carry on. My views changed I knew I may never trust another person again, most nights i woke up screaming my life was on autopilot I farmed, ate, and hunted my body grew stronger and animals bigger. My plants where the size of tress and the tress bigger than some office buildings I was alone for four more years when i saw figures in the distance. Over the years I made a wall around the farm which I made smaller to avoid issues It was more of a fort than a farm know stocked with food, weapons, and anything form poison to medicine I scavenged. Four girls approached the gate they looked haggard with torn cloths and dirt all over themselves.

???: Please if anyone is there help us!

I looked at them and opend the gate ushering them in I Kept my eye on them as i lead them inside my house, unsheathing my knife and sitting them down I asked them what there running from.

Lin: My name is Lin and these are my friends Sarah, Kate, and Sylph we where running from a group of guys who pretended to be injured and tried to **** us.

I rush outside up to the wall and see once more Jim , Ben and the injured guy from years ago I felt an intense anger course through me. My vision went red and I jumped over the wall running straight at them i swung the knife wildly my first strike cut Ben's throat. Jim throw a punch straight into my gut causing me to bend over I saw him real back and I awkwardly rolled away avoiding a blow to the head. I rushed forward and stabbed Jim in the gut leaving the knife i jumped on the other guy and swung wildly I felt hot blood all over myself when some one held my arms.

Lin: He's dead you cans top please! Thank you for stooping them but why did you have such a violent reaction?

Lucien: I was the first victim of their's and it just took me over i'm sorry you had to see that.

They gave me a smile and helped me back inside and we all enjoyed a meal but underneath the table i still gripped my knife I wasn't gonna be so quick to trust them.
