1 An immortal’s second life

Part 1

"Ugh… What happened?... Where… where am I?"

I could feel my body is having bouts of pain all over. I didn't know what happened, but the last thing I saw was the thickest purple-colored lightning bolt that I have ever seen in my long life. I know that at that time I am unable to survive my last tribulation.

It was the last step for me on becoming a true celestial being, a true god.

But because of some mistakes which I didn't expect, my tribulation became my death. But before my soul was banished by the last lightning tribulation, I used my powerful Absolute God sense and protected my soul.

I was able to escape my true death and wandered through space and time. I didn't know how many dimensions I have entered as I was sucked into many black holes that I can even count with my own hands.

Then suddenly I felt that my soul has found a vessel and came to this world.

Then before I can think of anything else, I suddenly felt my mind go blank as another memory came rushing into my brain.

"Joe Wang… 17 years old, a senior student from Delta City National High School."

That is who the true owner of this body is.

"He was born in a simple family of four, with his father; Jin Wang a bank employee, his mother is Mei Lu, a small boss of a small restaurant. He has an older sister named Cynthia Wang."

"It seems that he and his sister are estranged from each other because of an accident where he saw her with her boyfriend and told his parents about it, and that was the start of the conflict."

Then my mind suddenly came to a clear realization of the reason why this body is feeling pain all over.

"The original owner of this body is actually trash… Damn it. Plus he is… impotent? What the hell!"

Then I saw what had happened.

It was the last day of their class before they become seniors. He received a text message on his phone telling him that he is invited to a party. The one who sent this message is a girl whom Joe Wang has a crush on. And it made him happy and elated.

He put on the best clothing he has and then attended the party which was held in a hotel. Everything was fine but when his classmates decided to go to another place for the after-party, Joe Wang was dragged to come along with them.

Later he found out that, it was all a trap. But it was too late… the one waiting for them in the next venue, is the school's bully, Qindong Ao.

Qindong Ao belongs to a gang and holds a grudge towards Joe Wang. The reason for this is because he was caught almost raping a student but Joe Wang saw it. He was apprehended by the authorities, but with the influence of his father, he was acquitted. The victim did not even complain.

But after that incident, he stayed quiet bidding for his time, and until that time when the trap was set.

Joe Wang also found out that the woman he has a crush on is actually Qindong Ao's girl.

That night, Joe Wang was beaten black and blue by Qindong Ao and his gang. And what's worse is that he humiliated Joe Wang. They stripped him off naked and took pictures of his little guy.

It was very humiliating, but Joe Wang was helpless.

Suddenly he saw a way out after a careless move from Qindong Ao. He suddenly grabs this opportunity and hits Qindong Ao and then runs away as fast as he could.

But after being beaten badly, his stamina is already low and he was soon caught. Then Qindong Ao releases all his pent-up anger on Joe Wang and beats him more until he fainted.

That was the last thing I can see in this body's memory.

"Sigh… I guess this boy has a lot of bad luck in his life... When your soul reaches the reincarnation process, please be careful in your next life. I will not say that I will avenge your death, as I don't have that goal in mind.

I have enough violence in my long lifetime. I don't even know if I want is to try and reach the Deity realm once more and explore the vast space..."

"Hmm… wait a minute… this world... is Earth? I… Did I come back to Earth my home planet? But…"

I struggled to open my eyes as I tried to look around the place I am in right now.

Right now, I am looking at the dark sky with tons of stars in it. Though it is unclear as I know that both of my eyes are still swollen, I can still see the sky above.

I forced myself to stand up but I staggered in pain. I can sense that some of my bones are broken, but luckily his arms and legs are fine.

"This… It's hard to breathe… Arrgghh.. a couple of his ribs are cracked. Damn it… I… I don't want revenge, but if I saw those guys, I'll beat them to a pulp." I muttered in a low angry voice.

I prop myself up and slowly walk away from the trash dump where I seem to be lying. Then I saw a tree nearby and slumped myself beside it.

"Let's see which of my abilities I can use for now…"

I slowly closed my eyes and tried to use my spirit sense to scan my body. But it was for naught as I cannot feel any Qi inside of me.

"What the heck, no Qi? Then, how about my Absolute God sense?"

I then direct my concentration to my mind and tried to scan my surroundings. Not long later, a happy smile appears on my face.

"My Absolute God sense is there but it reverted back to Absolute Sense. Plus the radius is too short, only 3 meters in diameter… sigh… I guess I'm back square one."

Then I tried to practice my Absolute Sense so that I can test my mental stress capacity. After five minutes, I was tongue-tied.

"Although this body is trash, yet its mental stress capacity is truly formidable. I can last for more than a minute while using my Absolute Sense without even breaking a sweat."

"Damn this is awesome. Hehe… Hahaha…"

"So, this is now my body. Sorry that you have died, but from today onwards this is mine, and I will be known as Joe Wang. As this is my second life, I will try to live my life the best as I can." I muttered with a smile.

As I sat weakly while leaning on a tree, I suddenly felt a strand of energy in the area.

I didn't expect this at first because I am too focused on controlling and testing my Absolute sense. But now I suddenly noticed the wisp of natural energy in the area.

I immediately opened my eyes and tried to feel my surroundings.

"I can feel that there is something in the air... it's natural energy!"

"I need to absorb this and create a container within my body. But how…"

"Ah! Runes! But how can I make one without any tools."

I thought as I look at my dirty hands and my naked body. Just now I realized that I am not wearing anything. But I have no time to think of those trivial things as my first goal is to accumulate power.

Then an idea pops out of my mind.

"I can temporarily control this wisp and carve an absorption rune in an ordinary stone, right?... That's it!"

Dragging my heavy body I began to write a trigram of natural energy collecting array on the ground.

Although it took me a long time to make one as my movement is a bit sluggish and I made a lot of mistakes, at least after an hour I was successful.

Now sitting cross-legged on the ground, I activated the array with a drop of my blood. A low hum suddenly reverberates through the air like a Daoism prayer. Then the thin wisp of natural energy in the air slowly gathers towards the array and slowly accumulates on top of the stone.

Like a precision laser, the accumulated wisps of natural energy slowly carve a simple rune for absorbing natural energy on the surface of the palm-size stone. After 5 minutes, the rune was finished and I carefully took the stone and checked it.

"This is a fine rune. I hope that this would work, or else I would remain in this weak body and die in this world without gaining my old cultivation back."

I sigh as I grip the stone firmly. This is a second chance in life and I would be damned if I didn't live an unfettered life just like in my last life as an immortal.

I once again put a drop of my blood on the palm-size stone, as this is the only way to activate it without using Qi or natural energy inside my body.

When my blood touches the stone, I immediately feel the suction of the stones from the wisp around me.

I didn't idle as I tried to guide the natural energy entering this body and into my meridians. Using bursts of my Absolute sense I carefully guided the thin wisp into my empty dantian location and slowly form a container. The grueling process took me a long time, but I can now see the accumulating energy inside my newly formed dantian.

The natural energy accumulated inside is like rapidly swirling smoke which slowly turns into a gel-like substance.

After a few hours later, inside my dantian there exists a single glowing gel-like sphere. And my once empty dantian without any connection to my meridians is now open and is already connected to every passage of my body's meridian points. The situation in my dantian is now open in my mind as I now can see the status of my own body just like a CT scan machine.

"This is it… Hahaha… Now… I'm finally back!"
