5 Chapter 5

Underneath the colorful lights of the different buildings and cars that pass by, a place can be seen surrounded by trees, colorful flowers that makes the place dreamlike. A few sets of tables and chairs can also be seen with a big fountain in the middle. Strangely divided to the bustling life of the city, emanating a feeling of warmth and peace making many people attracted to come there and relax.

In the entrance of the park, a handsome youth while holding a hand of a female child can be seen, and it seems like they were a pair of siblings as the similarities of their features can be recognized. It was Zach and his sister, Mary. As they just ate their dinner, his little sister suggested to him that they should go on a stroll around the park before they head home.

"Wow, this park is so pretty!" Mary shouted with amazement mixed in her voice.

Zach looked at his sister as she spoke, her eyes shimmering like light, making her dainty face cuter. He smiled while saying, "But it can't compare to you, my little princess can it?"

"Of course! With my big brother being super handsome, I being your little sister will also make me very beautiful!" Mary replied with a hint of pride can be recognized on her voice.

"Yes, you're really pretty. But shouldn't you be avoiding guys that approach you in school?" Zach said curiously.

"Avoid them, but why? I only remember you and mommy only telling me to avoid talking to strangers and bad guys! Are they also bad like the bad guys on TV? Oh no! Then I should warn my classmates and friends to stay away from them!" Mary bumbled foolishly, as her blood began rushing on her cheeks. She looks very adorable at that moment, even Zach found himself wanting to pinch his sister's face due to her reaction. And he did.

"No, silly. It's just that you're very cute and pretty that they can't help themselves but to pinch your cheeks like this!" Zach said as he squeezed both of her soft cheeks gently, not wanting to put a mark on her delicate skin.

Mary began laughing as he pinched her cheeks, thinking that it was really fun to be with her brother. She really loves her big brother dearly. Even though he was not there all the time being their school's president and living away from them, he always try to make time to visit them and bring her dolls to play with.

After Zach finished pinching Mary's cheeks, she replied with honesty on her eyes, "But aren't you there big brother? There's also mommy, daddy, and eldest brother to protect me from guys that wants to do something to me?"

"Certainly we will, my little princess. We will." Zach said. But unknown to him, there was fondness mixed on his voice.

Talking with his sister as they explored the park, but it was more of teasing her than talking as he found her very adorable when she makes an angry face.

Zach suddenly heard a low voice singing from a distance. It seems like it was accompanied by a guitar. He was thinking what song was being sung, as it seems really very familiar but he was pulled out from his thoughts when Mary excitingly shouted, as she pointed her finger to the right, where the fountain can be found.

"Hey big brother, look at that guy over there!" shouted Mary.

Zach's sight followed the direction his sister pointed at and it saw a man with brown hair, sitting near the fountain singing while playing a guitar. It seems like that person was doing a street performance. It was normal, considering that there are a lot of people singing publicly on places with a lot of people, like a park. So he was not surprised seeing someone playing on a place like this.

He returned his look to his sister and asked her, "What about him?"

"Don't you know that song he's singing big brother? It's really good you know!"

Mary then began to explain that the song that he was singing, "Everyday With You" was very popular. The song's rankings on different music leaderboards are very high, even if it was just a month since its release and sang by a newcomer named Lance Moore. It was the overall top 12 in the American Star Music Leader-board, the most acknowledged music leaderboard in the country. It can be heard a multiple times on the radio, on places and stores where songs are being played, and even posts in different social media outlets.

Ah, it was my song. After hearing his sister's explanation, Zach then realized why he found the song really familiar.

Yes, you didn't see wrongly. That song was composed by the previous owner but was stolen by Lance Moore for his debut.

Lance Moore and Zachary Adams are both trainees under More Entertainment, one of the most popular entertainment agencies in America. They were trainees since they were 15 years old, trying their best to achieve their dreams in becoming a star. They were already close, but they became much closer as years go by and even became the best of friends, with nothing to hide to each other.

But Zachary discovered that it was all just an act orchestrated by Lance, just waiting the best time to strike his back and not even letting him stand up for good.

Lance was talented; he has a good balance for dancing, a nice voice better than your average singer, and a gentle handsome face. But the previous owner was especially more so, his voice was a clear sound mixed in with a trace of huskiness. He could sing any kind of genre of songs and bring out the emotions in them. He has a perfect sense of balance, good flexibility, and matched with his highly retentive memory, he could remember all the steps of a dance choreography by just seeing them a few times. Even more with his eye-catching beautiful features, you could say he was the perfect star you could ever dream for.

But even the perfect creatures like gods in myths had weaknesses, and so did Zachary.
