Trip to the Chu Clan

Twelfth day of the Fourth month of the Year 2019, year of the Earth Pig.

The dark sky had encompass the whole of the Middle Continent. Everyone was asleep except for a cute little baby acting like an adult.

Above the sky of Twin Valley, a faint brilliance is descending down to the Qi Clan sect master's courtyard. It is Qi Meng's third dao palace.

Like before, this new dao palace, upon descending, merged directly with Qi Meng's tenth dao palace and the hue of golden light around it is noticeably more brilliant than before.

Swoooshh... swoooshh... swoooshh..

All of his 10 dao palaces flew back straight to his dantian.

"What a monster! I myself is still overwhelmed even with this firm dao heart of mine." Qi Meng excitedly thought with joy in his mind.

Early stage of the Dao Adept realm. It was chicken feed for Qi Meng to reach this level compared to those so-called Heaven's Children and geniuses. He had truly unveiled a new path for the cultivation world.

He is so excited to conquer this universe once again and make one of his own. Well of course, everything needs a foundation, there is still a long way for Qi Meng to achieve his greatest goal.

One could never imagine how firm his dao heart was when he decided to enter his rebirth. He knew very well that he needed to start anew to achieve his goal.

He had set his dao heart firmly that he needed to take this step otherwise there is no chance in his entire lifetime that he would be able to achieve it without undergoing this procedure. But here he is, already taken a step forward to fulfill his lifelong dream.

Qi Meng continued to cultivate quietly until dawn to adjust and stabilize his dao foundation.

And just like that, another two weeks quickly passed. It is time for the Qi Clan to make there trip to the Chu Clan.

Of course, the sect master already told his wife about his plan of bringing them along. It is also a chance for Qi Meng to see the world outside of their clan.

Qi Yu and his family are together with Elder Qi Du with his two sons. The rest of the elders are at another carriage. They had already departed and made their way to the Chu Clan.

Qi Meng, sitting in his mother's embrace and lap, already felt the awkward and cold atmosphere inside the carriage. Oblivious of Elder Qi Du's hostile attitude towards him, he started to act the baby play.

He cheerfully smiled and giggle at Qi Ren stretching and waving both of his hands towards him who is obviously the youngest one inside besides him. Qi Ren, on the other hand, still being a child, played along with Qi Meng.

Both Qi Yu and Qi Zi smiled at the sight of it. It was so cute and lively that the stress they both of them are feeling somewhat gone weary and felt joy in their heart. Elder Qi Du just stayed silent the whole trip and did not bother with this cute little baby playing with his son.

Sect Master Qi Yu understood Elder Qi Du's attitude towards them as he knew that a parent can only hope and do his best for his child's future. But unfortunately, he was born in the same generation as the genius Qi Yu and failed to win the sect master seat from him.

After a short hour of time travelling, the group already arrived in front of the gates of the Chu Clan's Palace.

"The Qi Clan has arrived!" The driver of the carriages informed the palace guards then the palace gates opened and gave way to the two old looking carriages.

"Welcome to our humble palace." The Chu Clan sect master along with the elders greeted them.

"We are in your care." The Qi Clan sect master replied followed by the Qi Clan elders.

Qi Ren and Qi Han did the junior's bow and greeted, "Greetings Sect Master Chu and Chu Clan elders." The Chu Clan sect master and the elders waved their hands with a smile.

"We know that you got tire on the way here. Please follow Elder Chu Yun to the guests pavilion." Sect Master Chu said with a smile pointing to his hands in the direction of one of the elders.

"Alright, we will take our leave then. Thank you for your hospitality." Sect Master Qi replied cheerfully.

"Please follow me esteemed guests." Elder Chu Yun walked in front and towards the direction of the guests pavillion. The rest of them followed the elder.

Arriving at the pavillion, each of the elders were given a courtyard each including the sect master.

"We will see you then tomorrow morning at the Palace Hall." The elder waved his hand and then left.

Everyone went inside their own courtyards and took their rest. Just about the time the sky gets dark, a few of the Chu Clan servant maids knocked on their door and served them their dinner.

After the sumptous dinner, Qi Yu is playing with Qi Meng.

"Agoogoogoo.. agoogoogoo.. peek-a-boo!" Qi Yu made a funny face while playing with the baby.

Giggle.. giggle.. Qi Meng played along as not to disappoint his loving father.

At the sight of it, Qi Zi is sitting on one side smiling.

That night, Qi Meng did not let the opportunity to pass and continued on his cultivation.

The next day, all the members of the Qi Clan went to the Chu Clan's palace hall after breakfast. Everyone are sitted while having there discussion and pleasant formalities.

"Why don't we take this opportunity to have a sparring match between our young Heaven's Child disciples in order for them to enhance their combat skills?" Sect Master Chu Hao suggested.

"That's a good idea. Well then, Qi Ren come over. It is time for you to show us your training results." Sect Master Qi Yu ordered their only Heaven's Child disciple at the moment.

Qi Ren stepped forward to the front.

"Chu Li, go and greet your sparring partner."

Chu Li stepped forward coming face to face with Qi Ren. Both of them cupped the fists and smiled with each other.

"Alright, let us all go to the battle arena." Sect Master Chu Hao waved his hands and left the hall along with the rest marching to the battle arena near the palace.

At the centre of the battle arena, there is a huge round battle platform made of thick stone slab with a radius of 500 meters.

Both of the Heaven's Child jumped onto the battle platform. With a serious look on their faces, they cupped their fists and slightly bowed.

"Fight!" Sect Master Chu Hao shouted.

Swoooshh.. swoooshh..

A pair of long swords appeared instantly in Qi Ren's hands.

"A Dao Paragon Emperor Grade Treasure. The Twin Ice-blade Sword. Not bad." One of the Chu Clan elder praised.

While Qi Ren formed his fighting stance, a long silver appeared in Chu Li's hands.

"Silver Overlord Spear! Also a Dao Paragon Emperor Grade Treasure. Good. "Prime Elder Qi Mu said with praise.

In an instant, both of the Heaven's Child made their move.

"Ice Sword Double Slash!" Qi Ren waved both of his swords towards Chu Li.

Two ice sword slashes shot forward in the form of a cross towards Chu Li.

Chu Li waved his spear to counter the attack.

"Overlord Invincible Thrust!"

A silver beam shot toward against the double sword slash and...

Boom!..

Both of their strikes clashed and cancelled out each other. They are equal in strength.

Upon seeing his attack didn't pass thru, Qi Ren rushed toward Chu Li for a melee combat.

In an instant, he appeared in fron of Chu Li and began to strike his swords.

Swishh.. swishh..

Clang..

Qi Ren's sword strikes were fast in a way tht the normal cultivator cannot follow them.

But then, with a single thrust from Chu Li, his spear intercepted the double sword.

Chu Li made more spear thrusts and immediately was blocked by the double swords

This scene continued after some time until both them took a step back.

None of them can gain advantage of the other.

Not contented with the result, both them keeped their treasures and lunged forward at each other with their fists.

The two fists collided. Each of them are holding there grounds.

They throwed more punches followed with a combination of kicks. They dodged each others attack with ease.

The two Heaven's Child had been atbthis melee combatbfor a while now.

Speed, striking power and physical strength. They are equal in all three aspects. None of them can be proclaimed as the victor.

Clap.. clap..

"Ok, let us end this here. This match is a draw." Sect Master Chu Hao proclaimed the outcome of the sparring match while clapping with a contented smile on his face.

Clap.. clap.. clap.. The audiences cheered and applauded the two Heaven's Child for their awesome sparring match.

"Good seedlings! If it were a life and death battle, it would not be that simple."

Qi Meng thought with a smile on his face.

Swoooshh...

Suddenly a disciple of the Chu Clan came running and reshing towards the battle arena.

"Sect master.. sect master.." the disciple called out.

"What is the matter? Why are you such in a hurry?"

"There are uninvited guests that came and are on their way here so I rushed to inform sect master. We were not able to stop them from entering. They demanded that they need to visit sect master."

"Who?" Sect Master Chu Hao asked hurriedly.

"Long time no see my friend!" A group of people came marching towards the battle arena.

Sect Master Chu Hao, the Chu Clan elders and the rest from the Qi Clan had all their eyes narrowed with fierce look.
