10 Traitor
The sun has risen and everyone are still inside the Chu sect master's courtyard.
Upon coming to his senses, Chu Tian asked respectfully.
"Senior, may we know what do you need from us?"
Xiao Lie laughed at his question and is very much enjoying in bullying these people.
"We don't need anything much, just another thousand bottles of pills and elixirs will do."
Sect Master Qi Yu and the Qi Clan elders cursed this sly old fox in their minds. This is legitimately robbing them in broad daylight. No wonder he had only requested for a thousand bottles yesterday, he still planned on exhorting them again. One truly cannot trust another by just simply offering help without that much of benefits to them.
All the people from the Qi Clan sighed.
Their intended dowry for the Chu princess is getting more and more expensive and luxurious.
"Please accept this treasure box then senior. Inside it are the last of our precious pills and elixirs." Qi Yu handed over to Xiao Lie still cursing this sly old fox in his mind while falsely smiling.
Xiao Lie didn't mind that smile and accepted it cheerfully. This is their true purpose of coming to the Chu Clan. A thousand bottles of pills and elixirs cannot be belittled. Even prominent figures from a monstrous Immortal Sect are vying for it.
Although the Zhao Clan and the Ji Clan had only gained 500 bottles each of those, they are already lucky enough.
These type fortune does not come so often generally. It is a very rare opportunity for anybody else.
After keeping the treasure box, High Elder Xiao Lie stood up followed by Elder Xiao Tu.
"On behalf of the Immortal Sect, we would like to congratulate again the Chu Clan. Please accept this gift personally chosen by me." Xiao Lie stretched out his hand with a small treasure chest in his hands.
"Thank you senior. It is our pleasure to have you here and celebrate with us." Chu Hao took the gift and is hesitating to open it in front of everyone.
"Don't be shy, open it." Xiao Lie said.
Chu Hao then opened the treasure chest. As he opened it, a faint luster gold light came out shining.
"This is a silk armor at the top tier emperor grade treasure."
Everyone is looking at golden silk armor in Chu Hao's hands with awe and jealousy. They have a lot of treasures at the emperor grade but this is the first time he actually see this kind of armor.
"Yes indeed, it is a defensive type emperor grade treasure and can defend fatal attacks from an expert at the Dao Monarch realm."
"But of course, the higher the cultivation realm the one wearing it has, the more powerful it can be. If say, your Chu princess has to wear it now and would be attacked by an expert at the early stage Dao Monarch realm, it would protect her without a single scratch."
"However, if an expert at the mid stage Dao Monarch realm were to attack her right now, she would not be able resist the impact and will be blown far away which is not a good thing so please be cautious." Elder Xiao Tu explained seriously.
Everyone was surprised and had their mouths agape. For a mere 3 year old Dao Child to be able to resist an expert at the early stage Dao Monarch is already a great feat in its entirety.
Of course, which senior would lay so low to harm a little junior?
"Thank you so much elders for the present. Having both of you here to join us on our clan's auspicious day is already an honor for us." Chu Hao sincerely said gladly.
Chu Hoa really felt thankful. They had no irreconcilable grudge with these elders. It is just that their clan is too weak that others often take advantage of it. And as a matter of fact, without these elders intervention, they would not be able to stop the impending doom their rival clans would give them. Surely these elders are a blessing in disguise.
If only these elders could let go the matter with the Chu princess, the Chu Clan might be willing to cooperate with the monstrous sect in the future.
But what could they do, this is their fate and the harsh reality really hit them hard this time.
"Seniors, please follow us to the hall to continue the celebrations." Chu Hao invited.
Everyone went and enjoyed the celebration.
Having their purpose in this occasion met, the 2 elders from the Immortal Sect did not stay any longer and bid their farewell.
The auspicious birthday celebration ended well.
After the celebrations, the sect masters and elders of both clans held a joint meeting at palace's secret chamber.
Every one is sitting around a table inside a small room with all serious looks on their faces.
"First of all, I would like to thank everyone here again for celebrating with us my daughter's birthday and heavenly blessing descent." Sect Master Chu Hao smiled as he said.
"It is an unfortunate event that the Zhao Clan and Ji Clan interrupted our peaceful celebrations."
"Sect Master Qi Yu, we would like to hear your thoughts on this matter." Chu Hao respectfully requested.
"As of now, it is really difficult to speculate how things turned about the way it was earlier. The information about our clan's stash of pills and elixirs are only privy to the upper echelons of the clan. It truly shocked all of us or perhaps except for that someone who had leaked the information to others, it is really hard to sya.." Sect Master Qi Yu sighed as he stated factually.
"Sect master, are you saying that one of us is a traitor?" Elder Qi Du interrupted with an obvious remark.
"Any of us would not even want to think of it, however, how are we going to explain what has happened earlier?" Qi Yu asked with a stern look on his face. He looked fierce as if he had already a suspect in his mind.
Qi Du snorted and threw back the fierce look to Qi Yu.
Prime Elder Qi Mu noticing the atmosphere becoming tense, he interrupted the 2 rivals before anything goes out of hand.
"I suggest that we investigate this issue further before jumping into conclusions. Accusing someone without any evidence or solid proof will only jeopardize the clan's overall well being and integrity."
Every one in the room sighed helplessly.
Sensing that there is going to have no outcome to this meeting , Chu Hao raised out the most important matter.
"If say, the Qi Clan found out who had colluded with the enemies, what would be the punishment?" Chu Hao already knew the answer but he still asked it anyway. The Qi Clan and their clan have almost the same structure in terms of clan rules and decrees, and it is the same for the punishment of a traitor.
"Kill without mercy!"
Everyone from the Qi Clan replied in unison.
Chu Hao sighed inwardly. He felt bad and sorry for his friends from the Qi Clan.
The meeting ended immediately with a solid conclusion.
As the Qi Clan intended to stay for the night, everyone went back to their courtyards to rest.
The sky was engulfed by the dark and everyone had just fell asleep, except for 2 busy bees.
Having already his suspicion during the battle yesterday, Qi Meng had set-up an array formation last night to gather intelligence covering the whole of the Chu Clan's territory.
Due to his efficient and clever spying array formation, Qi Meng was able to record all of what is to occur within the next 24 hours. It is more like an accurate prediction or a glimpse of the future.
With a special technique he had in his previous life, Qi Meng transmitted the recorded information he got from last night about the 2 people, who will secretly meet later tonight during the wee hours, to all the elders and sect masters of the both clans by means of transmission mantras.
He had already identified the traitors all by himself and it is up to the echelons of both clans to decide what to do about these traitors.
The transmission mantras were very detailed and clear. It is not an illusion, but rather like watching the scene happen in front of the selected audience.
All of the elders woke up due to the sudden transmission of thoughts appearing in their minds as the scene continues. They had some idea what happened but they were not able to think of it as their attention was caught by these 2 traitors.
Feeling furious of what they saw, each and everyone of them immediately went to the location of the scene secretly without informing the others and waited if these 2 traitors would really appear.
To their surprise, two men in their black cloaks had arrived. A while later, another man in black cloak came in front of these 2 men.
As they went on, the scene unraveled in front of their eyes right now were exactly the same as the one they saw earlier in the thought projection transmitted to them by Qi Meng. They really can't believe what they discovered.
Enraged with their discovery, all of them simultaneously jumped out towards the 3 men and had surrounded them. They were all surprised that all of them are present.
The 3 men were about to flee when the sect masters and prime elders of the 2 clans made their move and caught each of the suspects.
"Gentlemen, what is wrong? Please remove your hoods and show us your identity. Please do not make unnecessary movements otherwise we would not hesitate to act in a harsh manner." Chu Hao fiercely commanded with a stern face.
