Training Camp

The next morning, Qi Yu was astonished again and again.

Right now, he would not be shocked should another treasure chest appeared tomorrow morning when he wakes up. He took it as if their benefactor is watching over the clan and he knew what situation they are in and would extend his hand to the clan whenever they need his aid.

Qi Yu genuinely smiled at the thought of it.

At the center of their garden is a small treasure chest. He opened it and saw 5 wooden scrolls with its parchment embroidered with gold at the edges like a border.

He noticed that each scroll had names written on it aside from the scroll title.

To his amazement, again, they are names of the juniors participating in the upcoming tournament.

Beside the scrolls is a sealed small folded piece of paper with a note written in it.

He removed the seal and opened it, then read it to his self.

"These scrolls are not to be opened, distributed or used in any way by anybody other than the name written on each scroll. The scroll is solely intended for each person and shall be the owner of each respective scroll. Any violation of this decree would bring disaster not only to the person who violated it but also to his or her entire clan or sect."

A Supreme's Decree!

Qi Yu almost fell on his butt while shivering. He was so scared to death. What if he had opened the scroll first before reading the Supreme's Decree. He sweat all over his body at this thought.

Upon finishing reading it, the note dissipated and mixed into the air.

Of course, if Qi Yu had really accidentally opened the scrolls, nothing would happen as Qi Meng already authorized his parents other than the name written on each scroll.

After calming down, Qi Yu bowed respectfully as a gesture of thanks to the unknown benefactor.

Qi Yu then went to the palace hall quickly and discussed with the elders what he discovered just now. One wrong move and it could obliterate both the Qi Clan and the Chu Clan.

"Our benefactor is watching over us. Inside this treasure chest are 5 scrolls containing a cultivation technique each."

All the elders have their mouths wide open. These cultivation techniques should not be just any low tier cultivation technique for the benefactor to waste his time bringing it out and delivering to the Qi Clan.

"But, each scroll has already an owner. You can see for yourselves, but I am warning all of you, do not even think of opening it if you don't want to invite a disaster upon our clan."

Qi Yu warned all of them sternly.

All the elders had a curious look on their faces and was stupefied even more when they saw whose names were written on the scrolls.

"Could.. could it be that the benefactor is really watching over us? Otherwise how would he know the names of the juniors participating in the tournament." Another elder commented.

"Alright, let me keep these scrolls first. It is too dangerous to fall on the hands of another person besides the owners." Qi Yu cautiously kept the treasure chest with all the scrolls.

A while later, a palace disciple informed everyone that the juniors from Chu Clan had arrived.

Sect Master Qi Yu excused himself from the elders and welcomed the young experts.

"Welcome to the Qi Clan. Don't be shy and treat our clan as your home too. After all, you will be staying here for quite a while." Qi Yu said with a smile.

"Alright, you will train with the other Qi Clan juniors under Sect Master Qi Yu. Both of you should behave yourselves properly and do not make our clan lose face." Sect Master Chu Hao warned both of them.

"We will leave them in your care Sect Master Qi." Chu Hao said to Qi Yu jovially.

After the introductions, Qi Yu had arranged for their disciples to bring the juniors to their courtyard first.

He had informed both of them that the formal training will start immediately tomorrow together with another 2 junior disciples from the Qi Clan.

It is almost time for lunch when Qi Yu reached home.

Qi Zi has just finished cooking their meal with the help of Chu Ning'er while Qi Meng is playing around with Chu Yuexia.

Chu Ning'er went back with the cute Yuexia to their courtyard and brought back a basket full of dishes as Chu Hao is waiting for them to eat lunch together.

After finish eating, Qi Meng slept while the couple cultivated the entire afternoon.

During his sleep, Qi Meng is cultivating his soul at the same time. One must be calm and resolute in order to cultivate the soul.

Humans are not capable of cultivating their soul naturally. Qi Meng is the only exception.

Humans have pure soul when they are born and it is their innate soul. Without a soul, humans cannot live. It is a known fact that a human dies when their soul leaves their bodies.

However, Qi Meng have his ways and is able to cultivate his soul. He is almost close to breaking through to the initial soul realm which is called Soul Forming Realm.

Once he reach the soul forming realm, Qi Meng would be able to command his soul to leave his body.

Qi Meng's soul cultivation technique is unique in this world.

It is totally different from those of the Ghost Race and the Soul Race.

After being reborn, Qi Meng gained a new understanding of how the human's soul works. Thus, he had started to study it and found out that most of his theories in his previous lifetime is correct. He is not in a hurry as he is still exploring his new cultivation method.

Thinking of this made Qi Meng calmer and more resolute than ever.

Aside from that, Qi Meng is starting to understand how he should use his 10th dao palace. As of now, he have no way of gaining access to it. He almost have a grasp of it and is patiently studying in passage.

The night arrived and Qi Meng cultivated as usual. He cannot rush everything and still needs to follow the existing cultivation system.

Qi Meng's ultimate goal is so grand that even his current achievements pales in comparison.

After cultivating until 3AM as usual, Qi Meng had a nice sleep.

The next morning, Qi Yu woke up early at 5AM and cultivated for an hour. As he have to start training the juniors, he have no time to cultivate in the afternoon.

At the center of the battle arena, Qi Yu is standing giving his first lecture while the 4 juniors are sitting on the ground in the meditative form.

"Alright, starting today we will start training and cultivating during the weekdays for 5 years until the start of Middle Continent Junior Elite Ranking Tournament. All of you are to stay in the camp prepared for you near the mountain at the back. Of course, you will have to learn to cook your own food. I don't care how you do it, as long as it does not affect my time while I am lecturing or giving pointers."

"The future of both the Qi Clan and Chu Clan lies within your hands. Our aim for this tournament is to win all battles until the final round. It sounds ridiculous and we have no choice but to push ourselves to our limits."

"This is not impossible though. Through hard work, I believe all of you will grow stronger each day. We just hope that your hard work will be enough to compensate for the difference in strength from a Heaven's Child cultivator."

"Heaven's Children are gifted with great affinity to the dao. In order to surpass them, all of you as geniuses should work harder than everyone else. Twice or even thrice the effort should be given by all of you in order to create this miracle. It all now depends on all of you."

"That is all I have to say for the introduction. I am truly hoping that all of you will succeed."

"Since all of you still don't know each other yet, introduce yourselves one after another."

Qi Yu pointed to one of them and the latter stood up to introduce himself.

"My name is Qi Jiang, 8 years old. I am currently at the early stage of the Dao Sage realm."

"My name is Qi Min, 8 years old. I am currently at the early stage of the Dao Sage realm."

"My name is Chu Qing, 8 years old. I am currently at the early stage of the Dao Sage realm."

"My name is Chu Yang, 8 years old. I am currently at the early stage of the Dao Sage realm."

After each introductions, they realized that they all have same age and cultivation base.

"Alright, perfect. We will steadily advance with your cultivation."

"The topic for today is the Twin Dragons Battle Formation."

"I bet all of you have heard of it before."

"Yes sir, it is the battle formation created by the Qi Clan's and the Chu Clan's progenitors in preparation for the Great War back then."

Chu Qing hurriedly raised her hand and answered gently after Qi Yu nod at her jovially.

"Very good." Qi Yu thought that this little girl is smart and sensible.

"Since all of you have the same level of strength, I can teach you how this battle formation is applied."

Although they were taught about this battle formation before, this is their first time demonstrating its prowess and might personally. All of them got excited.

"Alright, all of you stand up and group yourselves into two."

Qi Jiang and Qi Min quickly formed a group, while the other consists of Chu Qing and Chu Yang.

"The first thing you need to do is to build up your qi to fifty percent. After building up your qi, first make sure to check your group mate qi level and adjust yours same with him."

"Second, check the other group's qi level and adjust both of yours to same level as theirs."

"This must be done at a whim and you need to perfect this. You have to be familiar with your friends so that it would be easy to adjust your qi to same level with the rest."

"For today, you will do this exercise until evening. You need to perfect this exercise at the first level. Meaning, all of you must be able to adjust your qi within 10 seconds."

"Commence! You will not rest until you passed Level 1."

They were excited to practice at first. But after a few tries, they realized that it is too difficult for them. They kept on trying and still not able to perfect it.

It is now evening and at last, they barely made it to 10 seconds.

Qi Yu waved his hand and called it a day. The little juniors are now 95% drained of their qi and almost collapsed to the ground.

All of them went back to their training camp near the mountain behind the battle arena almost crawling.
