Qi Du and Chu Yun

The 3 cloaked men hesitated but got no other choice to lift up their hood.

All of them were shocked.

They could not believe it and accept the harsh truth.

It pains them to see that their most trusted clansman had forsaken them.

"Elder Qi Du, what is the meaning of this?"

Prime Elder Qi Mu angrily asked.

"Elder Chu Yun, have you colluded with the enemies? Speak the truth! Why are you with Elder Qi Du secretly meeting Elder Zhao Gan from the Zhao Clan at this hour?" Sect Master Chu Hao asked furiously.

"Prime elder, sect master, please forgive me. I have been enticed by Elder Qi Du about the pills and elixirs from the Qi Clan so I was really tempted and cannot help it but to go along with his plan." Chu Yun reasoned out nervously with a worried face.

"Elder Qi Du, how dare you sell out your own clan, and of all people to our enemies. Have you had no shame?" Sect Master Qi Yu roared in anger.

Qi Du feeling the wrath of the sect master felt pressured and stepped back involuntarily. Although he sees the sect master as his rival, he have to admit that his strength still far away in going against the sect master.

"I have to do this for the sake of my son to have a better future in the clan. If not for you blocking my path on being the sect master, I will not even think in resorting into this kind of stupid and shameless method." Qi Du replied fiercely.

"Not only did you forsaken the clan, even your own family have to be outcast of the clan due to your selfish and greedy act."

"I don't understand how you view things in life, have you even think of the consequences of what you did?"

"Have you even think about your 2 young sons having to experience to be expelled out of the clan at such a young age because of your selfish ambition? They are such a kind and talented children but instead of helping them grow, you have become their biggest failure which will impact them emotionally and their future would collapse right before they know it."

"Have you not thought of your sons being orphaned at such a young age? Is this all what you really wanted?"

"Or is being the sect master more important than your wife and your 2 young sons?"

Qi Yu, feeling very disappointed, roared furiously to his hearts content. He did not hate Qi Du because they competed before for the sect master position. He hated him so much because of his ambitious nature that now will lead to his demise and even dragged his family with him.

"Please stop, I don't want to hear anymore of it, I knew I had made a huge mistake this time. It is already too late and there is no need for remorse or regret. I will face the punishment sentenced by the clan for a traitor like me."

"However, I am begging the clan as an elder to please show mercy and not expel my family out of the clan, please, please, please." Qi Du fell on his knees and cried out with a hoarse voice desperately for mercy.

Prime elder Qi Mu felt emotional at the thought of his direct disciple being kicked out of the clan. But what can he do? He truly cursed Qi Du in his heart for doing such a stupid thing.

The best he can do is to help seek for mercy and obtain pardon for Qi Du's family from all the ancestors and the clan forefather. His head ached at the thought of disturbing the seclusion of this lofty figures. Prime elder cursed more and more in his heart. If his curse was a huge rock, it would literally smash Qi Du repeatedly to the ground like a meat paste.

After hearing the exchange between the Qi Clan, Chu Yun felt lost. Why did it ended up like this? Their plan was perfect. They had concealed their auras in order to prevent anybody from discovering them while sneaking around at the wee hours. Even the guarding disciples did not notice their presence.

Between Qi Du and him, he felt regret the most. This was not the way he imagined things will turn out to be.

He did not expect the other elders to have their senses so keen that they were discovered easily.

What he didn't know was that they were played out by a 7 months old baby.

If he were to discover this fact, he would wish that he was not born in this unfair world instead.

"Prime elder, sect master, please forgive me. Please leave out my family out of this. I am begging you, please help me beseech to the ancestors and clan forefather to not involve my family to my own mistake. I will take full responsibility for what I did but please, let my family stay in the clan. They have no where to go, please, please, please." Chu Yun cried desperately for his family's pardon.

He truly regret everything that he did. And now, his wife and 2 talented sons have to suffer because of his stupidity and selfishness.

Everyone present sighed helplessly. It is the harsh truth and Qi Du have to bear and accept it.

"Everyone, lend me your ears, please give me a day to return to the clan and speak to the ancestors and sect forefather. I do not wish for my direct disciple to be punished unfairly because of the mistake of his father. I will try my best to get them to sign the pardon for QI Du's family. I suggest we all imprison the 3 of them temporarily first at the Chu Clan's dungeon until I come back." Prime Elder Qi Mu stated sadly.

"At the same time, I will lead Qi Ren and Qi Han back to the sect and a few elders to guard the clan while me and the sect master is far away." Prime Elder Qi Mu continued.

Qi Mu then went back to the Qi Clan together with the elders and the young innocent siblings.

Qi Zi together with the baby stayed in the Chu Clan with Qi Yu.

Qi Yu and his family had been to Sect Master Chu Hao's courtyard since morning. The 2 sect master's family had a bonding moment together until the evening.

Chu Yuexia is very fond of Qi Meng and had played with the baby the whole day. The cuteness of these 2 cute little children is mesmerizing.

The adults watched them play as they chat with each other with wide smiles on their faces.

"Pee-ka-boo." Chu Yuexia covered her face with her 2 cute little hands and then made face to Qi Meng as she open both her hands with a beautiful and sweet smile on her lips.

How charming it really is to see these 2 babies play.

The adults had somewhat forgotten what had transpired earlier. They had been enchanted with the cuteness and beauty of their smiles.

Qi Meng is surprisingly enjoying this. He was not sure why, but he is having a good feeling about this kid.
