9 Chu Yuexia, Heaven's Daughter
Upon realizing that both of their attacks were blocked easily by this old man, Sect Master Chu Hao and Sect Master Zhao Gu stand on their feet and both bowed slightly to greet the old man.
"Greetings senior! I guessed that the esteemed senior is our guest from the Immortal Sect." Sect Master Chu Hao greeted the old man respectfully.
"No need for such formalities. Yes indeed, I came here with Elder Xiao Tu directly from our Immortal Sect. I believe you have already met him before. I was a bit surprised that the fun has already started. You can call me High Elder Xiao Lie." The old man replied calmly with a smile as if nothing happened earlier.
The people from the Chu Clan had smiles on their faces. It is their honor to have such an esteemed guest.
"Oh, we apologize for it. Actually, my daughter's birthday has yet to come which is tomorrow. We just had our juniors engage in a sparring match earlier but unfortunately we were interrupted by uninvited guests intruding our premises." Sect Master Chu Hao replied while looking sternly at Sect Master Zhao Gu.
Meanwhile, Zhao Gu who had not dare to say anything smiled bitterly. He know very well that the situation has already changed.
"Oh I see, so you are the uninvited guests? Why would you come here at this special moment when you are not welcomed here?" High Elder Xiao Lie asked with a smile.
"Well, if you may senior, we just visited our friends and we are about to go." Sect Master Zhao Gu replied respectfully.
"We apologize to Sect Master Chu Hao and the Chu Clan for our intrusion." Sect Master Zhao Gu immediately made his act not allowing Sect Master Chu Hao to speak.
"Oh well, it seems everything seems fine." High Elder Xiao Lie happily replied.
Upon hearing this, Zhao Gu smiled and was about to take his leave.
"However, I heard you saying a while ago that the Chu Clan and Qi Clan owed you three thousand bottles of elixirs and pills. Are you just leaving without it in your hands?" High Elder Xiao Lie cheerfully said.
"Oh my bad, sorry about that. Actually, we had some arguments about it and we will settle it later with them later. We will just come back after the celebration ends in order not to bother senior's visit." Zhao Gu said smiling awkwardly.
"Is that so? If that is the case, I don't mind me being the mediator so you don't need to waste your time coming back another time. Are you ok with it Sect Master Chu?" High Elder Xiao Lie asked sternly.
Seeing the old man's facial expression, Sect Master Chu Hao understood what he is trying to achieve so he nodded with a light smile on his face.
"How about this, Sect Master Qi, you can hand over to Sect Master Zhao a thousand bottles of the elixir and pills originally demanded by them. However, we will also take a thousand bottles of elixir and pills as compensation to this mediation. All of you are welcome to voice out your opinions." High Elder Xiao Lie said in a stern manner.
Nobody dared to oppose this old man's suggestion. In this world, strength speaks the loudest. Even Zhao Gu who is usually fierce had his tails between his legs.
"We have no objections to Senior Xiao's proposal." Qi Yu replied cheerfully.
Two treasure box then appeared on Qi Yu's hands. He passed 1 treasure box to Prime Elder Qi Mu and let him hand over it to Zhao Gu while he walked towards Xiao Lie and handed over the other treasure box.
Inside of each box are a thousand bottles of pills and elixirs. Zhao Gu and Xiao Lie opened the box to check the contents and hid the treasure box afterwards in their inter-spatial ring storage.
"This old man is another sly fox. But this is for the best." Qi Yu thought and sighed in his heart.
"Well, seems everything is settled." Xiao Lie stated.
"We will take our leave then Senior Xiao, it is nice meeting you." Zhao Gu bowed with an awkward smile on his face not daring show his bitter face and then turn around to leave.
The rest of the Zhao Clan and people from the Ji Clan also bowed and bid farewell to the old man then left.
All the people from the Chu Clan and Qi Clan sighed gladly in their hearts as if the torn embedded just a while ago inside their hearts melted away completely.
A few moments later after the intruders left, Chu Hao invited the 2 old men to their resting place at the Guests Pavilion.
This pavilion was on the other side of the Palace Hall. The courtyards are much spacious compared to the ones where the Qi Clan are staying at. Each Immortal Sect elders took 1 courtyard each. And there are several maids waiting at each courtyards.
The said pavilion are usually occupied by VIP guests with very high status. If the Qi Clan's ancestors also arrived, the Chu Clan would have let them stay here as well.
The night pass quickly without any disturbance.
Of course, Qi Meng did not waste the opportunity to cultivate.
At dawn, the dark sky above Sect Master Chu Hao's courtyard suddenly lit up and then suddenly a faint translucent outline of a dao palace descended from above.

As they went inside, they all bowed and greeted the elders from the Immortal Sect.
"Greetings seniors." They said in unison.
"No need for such formalities, you can treat us as your friends or even family. Especially now that we have chosen Chu Yuexia to be betrothed to one of our direct disciples." High Elder Xiao Lie replied with a smirk.
All of them were flabbergasted at the sudden turn of events and don't know how to react.
"Not to offend the senior, but we hope you understand that both of our clan's tradition was decreed by our progenitors that the in the event the Chu Clan produced a female prime disciple, she would have to be married to the Qi Clan's male prime disciple." Prime Elder Chu Tian explained carefully.
A laugh can be seen obviously at Prime Elder Xiao Lie's face as he replied.
"Not to worry, we simply don't bully the weaker clans or sects. We are not in a hurry about this matter as well. Of course we will give you an ample amount of time to decide."
"To be fair, we will let your QI Clan's prime disciple to fight for his fiance. If he can be the winner of the next Middle Continent Junior Elites Ranking Tournament, which is to be held in another 5 years at the Sovereign Capital, then we won't pursue this matter any further. However, we cannot go back empty handed to our sect." Xiao Lie said calmly with a laugh.
All the people from the Chu clan and Qi Clan were speechless. No one has the courage to even argue with these elders.
Obviously, these sly old men were just making trouble for the twin clans and just wanted to earn some compensation for their own in the end. Getting the Chu princess to be married to their Immortal Sect's direct disciple was just an excuse.
In fact, there are quite a few heaven's daughter in their sect. The irony was that they don't even need to recruit them, as these heaven's daughters would be forced by their sects to voluntarily be married to their Immortal Sect. Which clan or sect would not want to be able to share even a bit of this Immortal Sect's prestige and power.
If the Chu clan does not have their hands and feet tied by the blood pact made by their progenitor with the Qi Clan's progenitor back then, they would not oppose to this idea. However, nobody wants to be labeled as an unfilial descendant.
As for the tournament itself, it is a fact known to all, even within the weakest clans, that the said Middle Continent Junior Elites Ranking Tournament is a battle of strength competition between juniors who had not reached the coming of age ceremony. In short, all cultivators from the Middle Continent of ages 3 years to 13 years old are welcome to register for the said tournament.
The tournament is held only once every 5 years on the mid of October. In short, the next tournament is scheduled to commence on 15th of October 2023.
