2 A God?

Humans are the most fickle racest by nature.

They are never content no they will never be content. They strive for something greather than them. No it is not 'greed' that moves them it is curiosity.

Mankind's worst feature, looking for the unknown. Humans fear the unknown most, than what they see.

Maybe they believe fighting something at will be better you're used will lead to your advantage than things you don't know the first thing about.

But there is a difference. Humans may learn to overcome their restrictions, breaking the limit. But breaking the limit doesn't necesarrily mean that there won't be another one. But that is the best thing about being human.

That is why they never stop pursuing knowledge and power, because it is endless, for them atleast.

That is why I chose to live 27 years of human life, though at that moment I sealed my memories and divinities. Usually, God's descend in the mortal realms, it was either to spread their religions or lead a human life.

But eons passed, they all went on an agreement that no one would guide the mortal realms anymore, that they should walk on their own. It was then that the humans progressed, they learned to stand at their own.

They advanced in technology and efficiency and I have watched their progress from the very start, or might I say I was the one who progressed their society.

I was once named Prometheus, I brought humans the very first thing that started the quest for scientific knowledge began. Though I was reprimanded by other beings it was not as bad as mythology says, but soon they too were fascinated.

Humans were developing fast and steadily. Soon other beings 'Gods are just what mortals like to call us' descended like me they too were developing to be prominent figures like the infamous Nero, Alexander the Great and Julius Ceasar, but some felt disgust being in the same realm as these mortals so they didn't walk alongside them but stood above them, they were called as Zeus, Ra, Tiamat, Marduk, Shiva and a lot more.

We like to call ourselves higher beings, rather than the overbearing title God. While we don't claim ourselves as Gods, mortals interpret it as though we are. As the human lifespan is short, and we are somewhat eternal.

But of course not calling ourselves Gods doesn't mean we can't be one. Years after years no one was still able to break through to Godhood. But soon there will be. But let's leave that story for later.

Well let's get back to the present, shall we?

Somewhere far away, was a man sitting on a throne within a golden palace.

As you walk into the palace throne room you can feel the power that emanates from the throne its self.

The throne is a high back chair made of a deep dark oak finish with a red velvet cushion. The throne sit at the top of a three stepped platform which just adds to the Prestige of power that you feel.

The rest of the room looks to be the same as the rest of the keep. High windows, many tapestries hang from the walls. Though the palace was adorned with only the most beautiful to complement it, was missing something. It was desolate, no one except for the man was there.

The man was wearing a golden silk robe. At the moment the man's eyebrows were creased and he appears to be contemplating. After a short while the man sighed.

Sigh.....

"I can't believe my first life as a human in the modern time would end that way" the man muttered. This man was recalled his 27 years of life as a human.

Although the life he lived was not perfect, he felt it to be quite short. But this was the first time he has ever fallen in love. Never in the lives he has lived did he ever felt love, but now he did. It was familiar yet he felt uneasy. Julie... he thought.

She was different from other girls. She was never arrogant nor does she like to flaunt. She was honest and friendly, she handled people like they were glasses. But he at that time was very passive, he was never active.

He appeared somewhat anti-social but he too was friendly and would accept anyone who would talk to him, he was just shy.

Julie would always talk with him whenever she has the time too. She would sometimes invite him to eat with her, in which he would refuse. But he never knew the real reason she did was because she too fell in love with him. He felt a pang of guilt. But he would soon make up for it.

Alex smiled, "Maybe I should descend again.." he soon had an idea, "but this time.. I'll keep my memories"

Alex closed his eyes and looked forward to meeting her again.
