7 Training 1

It is a beautiful day in Cloud city, as the capital of the prefecture it is bustling with traffic, merchant displaying their wares and shops full of people.

Within the noble district the Long clan compound it is bustling as a group of kids around nine or ten playing around their leader is Black haired blue eyed handsome boy with a lean physique, it is Long Jianyu.

"Young master you're very strong you even managed to break my wooden sword with yours" said a little chubby boy holding a broken stick.

"what did you expect the young master is the strongest and will lead the clan"

"Definitly!"

"I hope to one day i grow strong enough to even match half his strength!"

"HAHAHA keep dreaming you don't even take your training seriously"

The kids started bickering between them while Long Jiangyu looked very proud of himself, he caught from the corner of his eyes his brother going around with a servant to probably the library, he couldn't help but frown a little before turning around and continued playing with his friends.

Yong today was in a good mood as he walked to the library.

"Can you believe it Wang today is the day i get a tutor in martial arts! It felt like yesterday when i started going to the clan's library"

"Of course Young Master. I believe that you will excel in martial arts the same as your studies!" Wang was very serious when he said that, his young master has been coming to the library and reading everyday, be it sunny or raining he will defenitly be sticking his nose in books.

"HA! I hope so Wang... Oh and remind me to go back to the house for lunch to meet my new tutor." Yong asked the servant before continuing on his way to the library.

As he entered and sat down to read the unfinished books from yesterday, he began to think about everything he read library.

'I basically memorized the herbs compendium and the interaction between herbs or at least what's recorded in this library, i studied the body's meridians and acupoints and deepened my understanding of cultivation.'

Yong noticed from the corner of his eyes a book on the types of cultivator and thought 'Cultivator can specialize in many things it is the same as those novel there are weapon cultivators who use weapons along with spiritual techniques like sword cultivators and sword qi or some type of swordsmanship.'

'But i do not want to specialize in weapons or martial arts, i will definitely learn some from my tutor and carry a sword in the future, but i want to specialize in spiritual spells!'

'And definitely not one type like fire or wind, I want to master all types of spells BECAUSE it's damn MAGIC' Yong really loved novels in his past life but he didn't like how they always repeat themselves where the protagonist will master a weapon or learn martial arts and sideline spiritual spells.

Yong shook these thoughts from his head and continued reading before he was called by his servant that it was time to return.

After Yong had launch with his family he was a bit surprised by his father being present, as he usually had work to do.

"Yong, i told you last year that you'll get a tutor when you reach 5 years old like your brother, and it seems like it is time."

Yong had a gleeful expression as he thanked his father, but at the corner of his eyes he noticed his brother frowning before exiting the dining room.

'Well no matter, as long as he stays away from me until the sects test i don't care.'

Long Chen directed Yong to the courtyard where he met a middle aged man who looked muscled but had a lean build this dark haired man looked intensely with his brown eyes at Yong before nodding his head in satisfaction.

"It seems you're not like the usual brats i teach, you seem a bit more mature!"

Yong didn't want to leave a bad expression on his first day so he said respectfully "thank you senior!"

"No need for that senior stuff, my name is Liang Wen."

"Now boy we'll be discussing what I'll be teaching you! First of all we'll start from the basics of all martial arts or swordsmanship the footwork!"Liang wen said sternly.

Yong was quite shocked, of course he knew the importance of footwork, but without martial arts or swordsmanship what use is the footwork alone?

"But why teacher?"

"Hmph! What use is martial arts or swordsmanship when you can't keep your own life!Footwork can be used to dodge or run away faster, it is a way to preserve your own life! and not only that how will you use martial arts and swordsmanship without footwork your move will be clunky!"

Yong was quite shocked but he couldn't contradict his teacher as he wasn't an expert.

"Okay, teacher i'll do my best to reach your expectations of me!"

"Good that's the spirit! We will spend three months to bring your footwork to a decent level before moving to something else."

And so started three months of hell where he had to learn how to DODGE and run away, and not only that he had to learn balance and moving on small platforms with precision. In Yong's tired brain he felt like he's seen this kind of training in some Chinese movies.
