11 Gathering

Long Yong woke up feeling refreshed as he prepared to go through his morning training.

He wakes up very early so most of the people in his family's home aren't up, he moved through the hallway to reach the courtyard.

Seeing this he couldn't help but feel lucky, if he was reborn in a bad family or a poor one he might not even survive his first few years, and he might not realize how big the world is with Supernatural powers, he would've been stuck in some random backwards village.

Long Yong felt ready, he could join sects at any moment, but he knew it was not up to him because his talent is still uncertain.

He want back to his room where his servant Yun who adjusted her sleeping schedule to his already made his bath.

Long Yong finished a relaxing bath before wearing white robs, and went to the dining room. As he entered he found his parents and Long Jianyu sitting at the table, the latter looked at Long Yong with a frown before turning his head.

The servants brought breakfast and we ate without talking but there seemed to be something on Long Chen's mind.

"Boys, it seems that that the sects test is today, so be ready to leave at noon."

Long jianyu didn't look shocked as he routinely leave the clan compound to tour the city with his lackey's, As for Long Yong there was a smile plastered on his face as he vibrated in his seat.

After the breakfast Long Yong quickly returned to his room to hide his excitement.

'My chance is finally here! even tough my father doesn't express it he is always more biased towards Long Jianyu as his heir. I need to make it in! I don't care if it is as a servant disciple or an outer sect disciple i have to pursue this path!'

Hours passed and it was time, Long Yong met his father and brother in front of the house before going towards the north of the city.

As they passed by building they arrived in a big clearing where the guards usually train, it was packed full of people, from clan members to normal civilians.

As they waited for a while more people were coming in, then suddenly a booming voice was heard.

"EVERYONE! Those under sixteen wishing to take the test please come to the front, the parents and guardians can go to the back and wait."

People scrambled to make way for those who wanted to participate, as those who were only here to watch stood back, on the clearing almost five thousand children under sixteen stood.

Long Yong was shocked there are that many participating in the test, he could even recognize some that he's seen in the clan compound.

A man stood in front of them, he looked completely average if not for the sword by his side.

"Hello everyone i'm Jin Honghui deacon of the heavenly sword sect, as we cannot directly check your records if you're younger than sixteen we have prepared an array."

Everyone was shocked especially some who tried to cheat and go through the cracks.

"As you see behind me that big tent, an array is cast around it and only those with a bone age of less than sixteen can pass."

Everyone locked at the huge tent behind him and couldn't see any array, it should either be hidden from their eyes, or needing to be cultivator to be seen.

'Maybe i should also learn arrays, as i'm already more advanced than most in the field of alchemy as I've memorized a lot of herbs and their interaction.

I only need a little bit more knowledge in the herbs department and learn how to create pills, contrary to those new to the sects where they will have to start from scratch, which will leave me sometime to learn arrays, plus i'm not going to rush through the qi condensation stage.'

As Long Yong was thinking this someone started to move towards the tent.
