8 Ch.8 The encounter
The date was 17th august 1989. I was finally 11, 11 years in this world just waiting for this moment.2 years before the main plot line. There was something different today I could tell maybe the magic inside me was excited. The chance to become better, to learn more, all the books and the various hidden things. Hell, I was even excited about the moving stairs. One whole life and these 11 years I was in fact a mundane which couldn't be more accurate. No more boring things. Learning how to bend space how to time travel how to do so many things I have so much to learn.
It was around mid-day when my matron called, telling me someone wanted to meet me saying that they were from a reputed school which wanted to give me a scholarship. Then I saw her walk in I railed in my excitement but most of my emotions were natural. I was astonished and curious. I saw a witch quite tall in her full attire black long robes, round glasses looking at me with the same curious eyes I suppose. She had a visage of an elderly loving but strict grandmother at least that was the feeling she was projecting. I Thought maybe she would be not dressed you know as a witch but then again, she was here for official business. I obviously wondered there was an uncanny resemblance from the movies for sure but I guess she had a different air or aura around her.
She said "Hello Mr. Igneius I am professor McGonagall." I replied keeping my tone as friendly as possible "Hello professor I wasn't aware that I would be receiving any invitations from schools." She looks at me for a moment and asks "Before that Mr. Igneius has something ever happened to you that might seem unnatural or out of ordinary. Perhaps maybe when you're feeling strongly emotional about something."
I hesitate a bit looking at her then nod "Sometimes when I'm angry or happy things that shouldn't be possible happen. I'm not sure whether I was the cause or not." She says gently "Mr. igneius that is because you are a wizard" I just blankly look at her. She looks at me and understands "It's not uncommon you find It absurd but there is a whole world out there full of wizards and witches when children turn 11, they are asked to join the school so they can learn more about how to control their powers. Perhaps a demonstration is in order she says."
She takes out her wand. I actually didn't catch that it looked like she took it out of her pocket then she taps? Or flicks? The wand and the pillow that was there suddenly turns into a puppy. At this point I was genuinely shocked? Amazed by what I saw. My mouth formed a big O. She passed me a letter after that. Yes, my very own my precious *urge to evilly laugh out loud again* I quickly open the letter and yes it was the very same.

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 25 August.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
UNIFORM
First-year students will require:
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)
Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

I read it, then re-read it again. Then I looked at her and asked "Professor I would love to go. All this sounds wonderful but I'm not sure if I have the funds to afford all of this." She pauses then says "Don't worry Mr. Igneius we have a solution for that. You see there are funds provided by the Hogwarts for students who cannot afford it on their own such as in your case. All you have to do is keep up your grades perform above average make sure not to cause any troubles and you will be able to comfortably go through your education. There will be a yearly evaluation of sorts to see whether you are still within the criteria of obtaining the funds. Which shouldn't be a problem for a bright child like you."
Looks like the matron told her about me. I nod "Yes professor, I promise to do my best. So that I can retain the scholarship." After that she says "Well with that done let's go and grab your supplies." I let out a mental sigh. With that done I managed to get into definitely my number one dream school. Now for the supplies.
