1 Life and death

Carl a 22 years old shut-in that spent his time reading manga and watching anime 24/7, but due to his rich parents he never really struggeled with money, so he lived his life inside that dark room without a meaning and hoping that someday he will get reincarnated in an anime world like those novels.

One day due to him never leaving his room and eating unhealtily, he died of a heart attack.

He woke up in a white space alone he thought 'where am i? i just was in my bedroom checking the internet?!!!'

then a sudden voice interrupted his inner musings "...uhhhh, how to break this to you?"

Carl quickly turned to find an old man wearing white robes, he said "who the fuck are you? where am i?"

the old man said with his surprisingly calming voice "you died my child, and this is inside a space between realms and right now you're just a soul"

Carl couldn't believe this as he never believed in god he was surprised and couldn't help but ask "are you god? and why i'm here?"

the old man had a warm smile "Yes, i'am, and you have been chosen from billions of souls to get reincarnated in another world"

this came as a big shock to Carl as he couldn't believe it he was so happy that his dream of going to another world is finally happening he said "thank you so much! ...uhhh, so which world i'm going into?"

the warm old man replied "you can choose whichever world you love more and go there, and i'll even give you some gifts"

carl was happy that he was able to choose and almost immediatly replied "I wanna go to the dxd world"

then he continued saying "I wanna reincarnate as Issei", the old man thought about it 'Fuck, i hope whatever else he wishes for is not hard to grant ' and said "okay but Issei is the protagonist of the story and already have the boosted gear so i can only grant you another wish"

Carl thought about it " I want a sharingan that can evolve to the rinnegan but without the blindness of the mangekyo", the old man was flustered 'shit,shit,shit! this guy want me to give him powers from another universe this is gonna be hard and i'll pay dearly from the backlash. But i can't go back on my words or i'll lose all my dignity if the other gods find out'

then he said "o-of course my child this wish is ... e-easily granted" the old man moved his hand then white light started shining around Carl

Carl was happy as his wishes were granted but as he started falling asleep he could swear he saw the 'warm' and 'powerful' god cursing him while coughing blood
