Yuhao and Dai Hua Bin made another wager just like the one before but this time they would compare scores. It will be his scores against bith Wang Dong's and Yuhao's combine.

Wang Dong went up first this time and he chose to fight against a 1000 year old beast. A lot of students, fans, were cheering him on. Even more so after he defeated the 1000 year old blood demonic bear with ease. Nevertheless, the teacher still penalized 50 points from his original 150 score for reasons such as over using his spirit energy and not knowing the right time to use them.

Shen Yin knew it that the main reason for it was so that Wang Dong doesn't get overconfident.

Dai Hua Bin was a different case. He was only penalized 5 points due to his supposedly lack of technique. The main reason was due to his troublesome personality. Shen Yin find this kind of scoring a but unfair to the students but is unable to voice out his complaints lest he wants to be suspected.

Shen Yin knew that after Dai Hua Bin would be him and went into the arena after his name was called out. Headmaster Yan was excited for this student as he knew that this particular boy had at least one 10,000 year old ring and was personally trained by Xuan Lao.

Yuhao: "Good luck, Brother Yin."

Shen Yin: "Thanks."

"I pick a 1000 year old beast." I informed one of the examiner. The examiner didn't bother to ask him to confirm his decision since he knew that this boy was strong enough to handle it.

The spirit beast that came out from the cage was a Swift Silver Falcon. The whole colosseum was protected by a barrier so no beast can escape.

Teacher Wang: "A Swift Silver falcon is said to be extremely fast and agile. Additionally, they have silver like features that is hard to pierce. Even some spirit kings that don't specialize in speed will have trouble dealing with this beast."

The falcon was already charging at Shen Yin in an incredible high speed. Shen Yin did not panic at all and lifted two fingers, raising it upwards before moving them down. In an instant, the falcon fell onto the ground unable to move much less fly. It was as if the wind that was once its friend betrayed it and became his enemy. It was only a matter of second before the beast faints from the pressure. This was the work of Shen Yin's Absolute Wind.

Shen Yin: "Those who live by the wind should know to not go against me." *glares at the giant Falcon. "Go back into your cage before you regret it."

The moment the pressure was lifted, the bird wasted no time in running back. It no longer dared to use its wings in front of this frightening boy.

{Hahaha! Did you see that!! This is my power of absolute dominance. How dare such a weak bird type spirit beast challenge this lord!!}

[Feng, be quiet. This strength is only thanks to young master's hard work and effort.]

{Young master. Young master! Young master!! All you know is how to praise him! Hmph!}

Everyone could see that Shen Yin had won just by lifting his fingers. If you look closely, a faint spiritual figure could be seen behind him. A black spirit ring he could be seen glowing beside him. The ring itself was different than the one he used before signalizing that it was another 10,000 year old!!

"Hahaha!! My Wuhun group obtained such a grand prodigy. Absolute Wind elemental from the mysterious Supreme Wind Spirit that you can barely find in a hand full of books!! So great!! A true monster is born and it will be up to my group to cultivate him closely!!" Headmaster Yan laughed/smirked at such a fantastic find. Not to mention as someone mentored by Xuan Lao, he was properly disciplined.

"Upon judgement of proper usage of his skill and superior techniques, student Shen Yin is awarded 150 points. Full marks." The examiner announces. Everyone cheered out loud. "As expected of our year group's number 1 student!! Full marks!!"

Teacher Wang was also excited about Student Shen Yin's new essence and wanted to interogat- question him so badly.

Once the commotion calmed down, up next was Class 1's president, Huo Yuhao. The one the headmaster was eagerly waiting for.

(A/N : Sorry for all the timeskips but I like to skip the boring parts of the story and progress into the events.)

Right after Yuhao was done with his test, Teacher Wang finally exploded and dragged both Shen Yin and Yuhao away to a room.

"My God! Ice scorpion! Wind Spirit Lord!! Absolute Wind and Ice!! These are supreme spirit essences! This means normal means cannot harm you two!! It doesn't even matter if you are in elemental disadvantage!! Did you know Ice scorpion is one of the kings in the northern plains while Wind Spirit Lord is a spirit beast that hasn't been seen in the last few centuries!!!..."

'I feel like a popular person being fanboyed by someone. This is awkward...' Shen Yin commented in his head. From this point onwards, I wasn't even bothering to listen to the rest of it. Teacher Wang was trying to persuade Yuhao to join Wuhun group as a core student but Yuhao turned him down as he was already a core pupil of the Soul weapon facility.

Shen Yin: 'I can't believe I'm being dragged into this part of the plot....here it comes...'

A few moments later, Headmaster Yan appeared from the door and awarded Teacher Wang for his hard work.

Headmaster Yan : "I believe this is our first time meeting in person Student Shen Yin but I've heard about you multiple times."

Shen Yin: "Your words honor me."

Headmaster Yan: " I hope that you continue to work hard and bring glory to our Shrek academy. Our school will surely take you in as a core sanctuary student if you choose to continue."

Shen Yin: "I will, Thank you." 'I know that this is a measure to make sure that I don't leave Shrek.'

Headmaster Yan then confronts Yuhao trying to bring him over to his side by 'bribing' him with benefits like authority, supplies, resources, future growth...etc. No later than that, the Vice principal of the soul weapon facility came barging in and started an argument with the headmaster of Wuhun.

After the appearance of another bigshot, this fight was brought all the way to Poseidon court.

With Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao...

Yuhao had just told them about what had happened.

Wang Dong: "It looks like two people fighting for the bride. Hehe. Right? Xiao xiao?

Xiao xiao: "Yuhao is the bride between those two."

Yuhao: "It's not like that! Wang Dong! Don't joke around like that!...Eh, by the way, where is Brother Yin? He was here just a second ago."

Wang Dong: "Ah, he went to change into the new school uniform."

Yuhao: "Eh?! New uniform?"

Wang Dong: "We already have yours."

Xiao xiao: "Hurry up and change into it."

Shen Yin walks into Yuhao's room to check up on him ,due to all the loud noises he heard, when he saw him (Yuhao) dressed in a girl's uniform.

Shen Yin: "Yuhao....I didn't know you were into that...I'll pretend I didn't see."

Yuhao: "Wait! Brother Yin, it's not like that!! I can explain! It's all Wang Dong's fault!!"

Wang Dong: "Ahahahaha!!"

At Poseidon Pavilion>>>

They were discussing on which group Huo Yuhao should reside in. Both Wuhun and Soul weapon facility would not back down since they both desired to have him. The debate only ended after en extremely high ranked person opened his mouth suggested for Huo Yuhao to stay in both Wuhun and Soul weapon Facility. Things was only starting to calm down when...

Taking advantage of the situation, vice principal of the Soul weapon Facility opened his mouth and said, "Since Yuhao is going to both classes then about student Shen Yin...."

Headmaster Yan: "It can't be that you...you..."

Vice Principal Qian: "Coincidentally, he also happened to be studying here so why not also make him a core pupil at both sides. Like student Huo Yuhao he is a grade 2 soul master."

Headmaster Yan: " And you're here talking to me about morality!!! How dare you try and steal a core pupil of my group!!!"

Vice Principal Qian: "Heh, now we're even."

After a little more yelling here and there, this case came to a conclusion. Meanwhile, both Yuhao and Shen Yin managed to pass their soul weapon advancement exam.

Wang Dong went out with Yuhao to go to the Treasure Appreciating Ball. Shen Yin told them he will not be present because he didn't think that there will be something that will interest him there. He informed them that he will be spending the time cultivating and resting.

Timeskip>>>

Yuhao and Wang Dong were running away from their sudden assailants on their tails. One of the attackers had caught up with them and unleashed an attack directed at them. Just as the it was about to hit both of the boys, the pin on Yuhao's shirt shone.

Yuhao: "That's right! Brother Yin's Pin!"

The Pin's power activated as it sensed the life-threatening danger from all sides. Unlike last time it did not create a barrier, it dragged Wang Dong and Yuhao down into the shadows to cover and shelter them from the attackers.

Wang Dong: "Yuhao, what's going on?! Isn't this Brother Yin's shadow spirit ability? "

Yuhao: " Actually, Brother Yin gave me something that seems to activate whenever I'm in trouble. Sadly, it only works once."

Wang Dong: "Wah! Brother Yin wasn't joking when he said that he will help us every time we have problems! So good! I'll thank him later!"

Yuhao: "How do we get out of here though?"

'Shen Yin' : "Yuhao! Are you there?"

The pin was levitating in front of them. Both boys could hear their friend's voice coming out from it.

Yuhao: "Brother Yin? Is that you?"

'Shen Yin' : "I felt the pin's power being released. What on earth happened? I thought you and Wang Dong were at Treasure Appreciating Ball."

Yuhao: "We were attacked on our way back. Brother Yin, how do we get out of this dark place?"

'Shen Yin' : "Dark? It's the shadow realm then. All you have to do is jump out from one of the white holes."

Wang Dong: "Is those it?" *points towards the several while patterns around*

Yuhao: "Most likely. Thanks, Brother Yin."

'Shen Yin' : "As long as you're both fine. Now you better go."

They did as he said and went out through a tree like white pattern. Before they knew it, they were in front of a tree which looked exactly like the pattern. As they exited the realm, the pin turned into dust.

Bei Bei: "Juniors!! Where did you disappear to?!" He rushed over to them the moment they reappear after vanishing.

Yuhao: "Senior. I'll tell you about it later but what happened here?" *looks around to see the scotched area around them.

SanShi : "Sister Xiao Tao arrived and went all out on the attackers. It was really scary. You guys should know that her nickname is 'Blazing Flame Demon'. "

Bei Bei: "Everything has been burnt to crisp. Now answer my questions on what happened to you two."

Wang Dong: "Brother Yin gave something to Yuhao to protect him when his life is in danger. We were taken down into this dark place Brother Yin calls the Shadow realm."

Bei Bei: "Luckily he did or else you two would've been dead before we could arrive to help."

Timeskip to after Yuhao got abducted by Ma Xiao Tao to calm her demonic fire>>>>

All the core pupils were called into a classroom.

Teacher Zhou: "I called you all to give you a special announcement. The school is going to hold a selection tournament for all core pupils. Originally, it requires one to be at least a 3rd year student, but we are going to make an exception this time and allow 2nd year students to join. In this tournament, the school will select seven individuals for a special task. That task will be only known by these seven individuals. You 2nd year core pupils will join because the tournament has higher level students, so it's fine if you do your best. Huo Yuhao, I have something to say to you."

Shen Yin waited for them to be done first before approaching Teacher Zhou.

Shen Yin: "Teacher Zhou is there no way for me to not participate in this tournament."

Teacher Zhou: "No, are you afraid of losing?"

Shen Yin: "No, it's not that. Nevermind."

Shen Yin's Pov

I left the room and went back to my dorm.

'It's finally time for the selection of the next Shrek's seven devils. I don't want to get involved in this one. I know exactly who all seven is going to be.'

I contemplated on what I could do to avoid affecting the storyline. Will they even allow me to step out? This is so complicated. I'll just have to wait and see what happens at this point.
