Rebirt In Blue lock

My name is Ichinose Arata, I'm 20 years old, and my life can be summed up by football. Since I was very young, I've been passionate about it. However, I don't have the necessary talent to be a professional player, so I had to pursue a career in journalism, aiming to focus on sports journalism. But that doesn't mean I stopped playing football or anything like that. At the moment, I'm heading towards a seven-a-side amateur championship final game organized among Japan's television networks, where all of us journalists who dreamt of being professional players can experience some of that competitive spirit.

The final match of my team Sakura TV in this championship is against Shinkansen Channel. As we arrived at the court, we went to our locker room to organize ourselves and discuss tactics.

"Alright, team, let's play our last match in the championship. I hope we can emerge as champions this time, but I'm already very happy with your journey," said the coach. "Arata-Kun, I trust you, our top scorer and star of the championship, go out there and give us another show."

"You can count on me," said Arata.

THE GAME BEGINS:

The ball starts with the Sakura TV team, who quickly passes it to their midfielder, Arata.

"Run, Minato-Senpai."

Arata launches the ball deep to Minato (the team's winger).

"Good pass, Arata-San."

Minato has possession on the left side of the field. He realizes he's one-on-one against the opponent's player and tries a dribble, pushing the ball past the defender to try to reach the end line. However, as he passes his marker, another defender appears in front of him, creating a 2v1 situation because the previously beaten defender managed to recover.

"Pass the ball, Minato-Senpai," said Arata.

Minato notices that Arata takes advantage of the defender leaving his position to assist in marking and attacks the free space. Minato passes to him.

"Good pass, as always, Minato-Senpai," Arata said.

Arata receives the ball at the top of the penalty area and notices a defender rushing towards him desperately trying to prevent a possible shot. With this in mind, Arata did a fake shot, and the defender throws himself in front of Arata trying to block him. Arata simply sidesteps him and shoots at the goal with all his strength, watching the ball hit the back of the net.

"Nice one, Arata!" everyone on the team congratulates him for the goal.

"LET'S KEEP UP THE PACE," Arata shouts.

1-0 Sakura TV

THE GAME RESUMES:

The players of Shinkansen Channel restart with possession, quickly passing to their midfielder, who passes the ball over his foot, waiting for his teammates' movement, and then passes to their winger.

"They're trying to copy our play," Arata thought.

"Let them come; we don't need double marking to contain that," Kenji said, laughing (one of the team's defenders).

The opponent's winger gets a bit irritated by Kenji's words and tries to dribble past Kenji, who disarms him smoothly, leaving the opponent even more frustrated.

"Mark the possible passes," one of the Shinkansen Channel players said.

But what they didn't expect was Kenji dribbling the ball towards the center of the court, leaving a marker trailing behind.

"Now it's all yours, Arata," exclaimed Kenji.

"Good play, Kenji-San," Arata said.

Arata received the ball just past the halfway line and soon faced a defender. He began to perform some feints to confuse his defender and soon dribbled past him, bypassing two more markers, reaching the penalty area. With only one defender left who believed Arata would shoot, he passed to the teammate.

"Take this, Akira-Senpai."

Akira executed a precise shot that beautifully found the corner of the goal.

"Take that, this is what you get for not defend me properly, losers."

2-0 Sakura TV

END OF THE GAME:

The game ended 6-3 in favor of Sakura TV, with two goals each from Arata and Akira, and one each from Minato and Daiki (another winger of the team).

"WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS... CHAMPIONS," sang the Sakura TV team in their locker room, celebrating their victory, trophy in hand, with Arata being the top scorer of the championship.

Now, after the match, they had to return to the bus that would take each of them home. However, the worst happened... The coach, drunk from celebrating the title, lost control of the steering wheel, causing the bus to veer off the road at the edge of a mountain...

"WHAT?, WHERE AM I," thought Arata.

Arata looked around and saw nothing but vast darkness where absolutely nothing could be heard.

"Hello, boy," said a voice.

"WHAT IS THIS? Am I experiencing the famed moment of reincarnation, and are you a god?"

"Correct."

"No way."

"Well, putting that aside, do you have any idea what's to come..."

"It's you letting me choose an animated world to go to with some wishes to compensate for my premature death."

"You're partly right."

"What do you mean?"

"I am indeed going to send you to an animated world with wishes, but you won't have the choice of which world I will send you to. The world has been chosen based on some of our analyses."

"And which world would that be?"

"Our panel concluded that the world of Blue Lock would be ideal, since you've been obsessed with football your entire life and dedicated much of your time to it."

"WTF, but wouldn't it be better just to be reborn in real life???"

"That's not how it works, boy. We have our procedures."

"What can I do? But you mentioned there would be wishes, right?"

"Indeed, but those have also been previously established by our panel."

"WHAT? YOU DON'T LET ME DECIDE ANYTHING."

"Relax, you will be reborn with the greatest talent of all, just enjoy your new life."

"HEY WAIT, what happened to my teammates?"

"They also died and were naturally also sent to some world we chose."

"I see, farewell Strange God."

"Come to think of it, I wish I had at least said goodbye to my family, I'm going to miss them."
