8 PHOENIX PIN

NING SHUFEN didn't wake up for two days. So the curing could only be postponed. Master Mu and Yaling was there in those two days. General Ning didn't said anything about them staying there. Not that he can anyway.

Shufen lost some weight and she became thinner. She now looks like a bamboo stick. She was just too thin. Master Mu nagged Yaling about this and Yaling could only sigh. What will she answer him? It was just simply a question that she can't answer. How can a unconscious person eat and gain weight?

Master Mu stopped talking when he noticed that Shufen's eyes was slowly opening. Yaling also noticed this and she quickly held Shufen's hand. She sat beside Shufen who was unconscious. Master Mu grabbed a cup of warm water and gave it to Yaling and made Shufen drink it slowly. Shufen sighed when she drank it.

"How long was I out?"

Her voice was hoarse and her throat hurts. Shufen's last memory was her passing out when she tried to get up from the bathtub. Yaling didn't spoke and she waited for Master to speak. She wanted him to talk. She was just too tired for now she just wanted to hold Shufen's hand and feel her warmth.

"Two days"

Shufen just simply nodded. She wasn't even surprised, the pain was just too much for her body right now. If it's her past body then she can stand it without screaming. Though she will still feel the extreme pain. Master Mu then told her that she needed to do it again for another two weeks without fainting. The medicine is not best if it's being stop.

"How do you feel? Does it still hurt?" Yaling was worried. She was staring at Shufen's eyes nervously. Shufen looked at Yaling and smiled.

"The pain is gone though my head is aching a little bit and I'm starving" Shufen touched her tummy and her cheek flushed with embarrassment. How cute!!!! Yaling wanted to pinch her cheeks and Yaling did it. She pinched her cheeks. Master Mu then cough making Yaling stop what she's doing.

Shufen gratefully looked at her Master. That hurt! She touched her cheeks hoping that the pain that Yaling caused will disappear. Yaling laughed at Shufen. She was glaring at Yaling. She looked so cute!!! Ahh, This is too good! My sister is just too cute! I can't stop myself!

Shufen rolled her eyes at Yaling's daydream face. She couldn't believe that her Elder sister is capable of doing that kind of face. She looked dumb. Super dumb. Ey, I wonder if the people had saw her making a face like that. She laughed evilly in her mind. I could only see that face!

"I'll leave now. Let's start again tomorrow. Just rest for now" Shufen and Yaling bid their goodbye to Master Mu. He nodded and went out not even looking at them again. Yaling called the two maids and she made them prepare food.

Yaling talked about what happened when she was unconscious. Yaling also said to her that she should not worry about the poison anymore. More importantly she should just focus her attention to her physical body. Master Mu felt that it's not just an ordinary poison. It was more than that. He also said that the person who did that to her wanted her to die slowly but painfully.

It seems that they wanted her to die horribly. Who did I offend ? What did I do to you? Shufen felt that her brain was about to burst. I was poisoned when I was three so it's impossible for me to offend that person. Ha! Just you wait when I discover your identity. I will make you feel worse than this!!

Shufen remembered that she had a phoenix pin when she died. But how did she obtained it? Thinking back, It was given to her by a masked man. His eyes was so cold but she could see the pity in it. It's not only pity there was more and she couldn't explain it. She couldn't tell it.

"Oh, Fen-er I saw this phoenix hair pin when I helped Bao clean your room." Yaling wanted to ask her why does she had a hair pin like that. But seeing that Shufen's confused face, she didn't. Yaling gave it to Shufen and she just took it. Her face looked so calm now, but she was internally screaming.

I got this hair pin when I was 16. And that will be years from now! How did it end up here?! How come?! Shufen held the hair pin tightly. She felt warm. Why? She doesn't know to. She felt like crying. She wanted to cry but she doesn't want to. She will look weak than she already was. And Yaling will ask her about it. She doesn't want to answer any questions. She just can't.

"Ling-Jie. I want to sleep. If you will stay here then stay. But if you won't then please close the door" Shufen knew that she sounded rude. She turned around her back facing Yaling. Shufen heard Yaling sighed.

Yaling was confused why did Shufen act like she was hurt too much. The Hair pin was something precious for Shufen and she respected her younger Sister.

"Then I'll go out now. I'll be back later for lunch" Yaling sighed before standing up.

"Just call Bao if you need anything. She will stay outside to guard you" Shufen heard the door opened then close. She heard the voices outside. She wanted to say sorry but right now. Her mind was in turmoil. She can't think clearly. She was pretending to be happy infront of Yaling but when she saw the pin her tears fell. She didn't even have the time to wipe it.

She silently sobbed. This hair pin was her strength in her past life aside from her sister. It was her world, the most important thing to her. Because it remind her of the man that saved her. She knew he wasn't kind but he helped her. He was there for her in her every problems though she didn't know his identity. She feel like she knew him for years.

She talked to him about all of her problems and he will just sit there in the dark side of the room hiding his presence to everyone. He will just stare at her and listen to all her nagging. But he can't save her from darkness. He was just too late. He arrived too late. She was already corrupted by darkness and she just wanted to die.

But now everything changed. She won't kill herself and she will find him. Thank him although he doesn't know her her in this lifetime. She will become his friend and his trusted ally. Shufen stared at the pin and saw something. She stared at it for a long time.

"Wu? Isn't that My Master's name?" No it's impossible. Her master is old. It can be his relative. Shufen felt that her eyelids was getting heavy. She tried to fight it but she can't.

A man suddenly appeared beside Shufen. He touched Shufen's face and stared. His eyes full of emotion. His black robe was slightly a mess. He has some deep wound. The blood was fresh and it was like he was battling someone earlier.

"Who dared poison you!!?? Ha! It seems that in this years someone had the guts to poison an important person in my life! Seems like I have to make them remember who I am" His voice was cold. Killing intent was oozing out of his body.

He felt that Shufen was uncomfortable so he immediately made it vanish. He smiled gently when he smelled the medicine in her. Someone was curing her. He kissed her forehead before disappearing.
