If you are one of those Horror Enthusiast, you're gonna love this novel. Also, kudos to you people because I could never! 👏 👏 👏 Look. Eventhough I'm a big scaredy cat and knowing that this has a horror element in it, I still decided to check this out. How can I be sure if I can handle something until I read it you know? The first few chapters were not too bad. We have her rebirth, then we have the adorable daughter-father interaction (no scum dad here YAY) and some face slapping to her evil relatives who did her and her dad wrong. Was also hinted that our ML died early in the past life so if the story goes how I think it will, it's a big NO DUH that she is surely going to save him in this life. But when it got to the point where Sadako-chan was slowly crawling outside the mirror with her hideously bloody mouth wide open ready to devour the living daylights out of our FL, my brain was instantly like: Knock knock. Who's there? Not me coz I'm outta here ✌! 😭😭😭

⚠️Spoiler Alert⚠️ Okay, so out of curiousity, I read this book using google translate and after 100+ I jump read the book and only looking the part near the ending (1000++ chapters) For those who love supernatural genre then you'd like it for sure as this book involves exorcise, ghost, curse, evil spirit and etc. I appreciate this part because it's quite different genre FL is type of strong FL who had gone through rebirth and ML is the same kind cold handsome heir also a CEO. There's nothing wrong really but the more I read the more I realize MC had trust issue with each other (will contain misunderstanding). ML sometimes too proud to explain to her. You know, the same bloody dog drama 🙄🙄 but their enemies rely on curse, evil spirit, insidious method and so on. There will be so many 'white lotus' in this book. The conclusion is I drop this book because of the plot is kinda similar to those that have ML as CEO and weak FL with lots of misunderstanding and miscommunication. It's just I'm not a masochist so 🤷‍♀️

The parts I liked were when the so called ML didn’t appear. The ML is just a misogynistic and controlling person who will force the FL into a relationship. I really like the storylines and the FL is good except when she deals with the ML. She just can’t stand up for herself and it’s beyond frustrating. He is not relationship material except for his looks and the fact that he’s wealthy.

male lead is trash but scenes with him are few compared to plot. story is entertaining and different, the horror parts reminds me of the old Chinese horror films. I shouldn't have read the water ghost part at nighttime, couldn't fall asleep.[img=faceslap]

The story was great. But i don't like controlling men, where in the fl can't given decide on her own for instance the pregnancy chapter, the male lead would rather may the assumption true rather than telling the truth, I understood his stance not hurting his grandfather's heart but where is the decision of the fl? What about her father? Her future? It was funny at first but it irritates me.

WARNING FOR ALL THOSE ROMANCE LOVERS! *SPOILER ALERT* I really really loved this book. It's full of interesting ideas and written extremely well. It's not your typical novel. It's a novel with a twist: ghosts! The story is so exciting that I had to stay awake to read it. One arc had me comepletely hooked where I really couldn't take my eyes off but was afraid to continue reading at the same time. I had goosebumbs all over. BUT if you are a romance lover OR hate posessive and crazy MLs, I unfortunately have to disappoint you. I read this story until chapter 560 and I'm not sure if I am able to continue it. The only reason why I was reading it until now was because of its unique concepts with ghosts, charms, exorcism and more. I loved how everyone mocked her for being so young and believing in strange things. When she warns them she gets all the hate. In the end they idolize her and want to buy all her talisman and what not. I love those faceslaps! BUT that ML... no I can't. At first I just ignored the chapters with him in it and scrolled past their interactions. I'm sorry but I don't like him AT ALL. There's nothing romantic about their relationship. I hate it when the ML is all about "I want you... NOW" and he's that ML. How can it be romantic when she says she doesn't want to and he ignores it and gives it to her the whole night even if it hurts her just because he's thirsty? The story was tooooo exciting for me to just abandon it. That's why I read it that far. But chapter 560 had me thinking.... Here's an excerpt: “The pain was worse than when someone had bitten her just now. Chi Shuyan woke up and her face changed. She was about to turn around, when the man behind her grabbed her waist. Sensing the familiar male hormones, Chi Shuyan finally realized who the man behind her was, where she was, and what the man was doing. Wait, it was already so late; what was this man still doing? Qi Zhenbai turned his wife’s head and kissed her fiercely a few times, making her swallow a lot of his saliva before he let go of her, panting heavily. He said in a deep and hoarse voice, “Continue sleeping, don’t worry about me!” Chi Shuyan: … After a while, Chi Shuyan was tormented until she was sweating profusely. How could she sleep? Also, did this man take some sort of medicine or was he provoked by something tonight? Why was he being so aggressive? Chi Shuyan’s mind was blank and she no longer had any other thoughts.. All in all if you don't care about the romance or the ML, I can only recommend it. The story is sooo soooo good!! Why does the ML have to be like that? T-T

I think this has been taken off of trial read? (well atleast in my phone it is) which is sad because a lot of people would be attracted to the original plot😭😭😭😭 I'm sure that coin users will come rushing (and I'll especially use them if I wasn't so broke😭😭)

I read all the chapters to the end, a good novel, although in the middle of the story both protagonists have angered me (they are very stubborn), if they had said what they had in their hearts, the great misunderstanding would have been avoided. I was angry that FL had not been when ML needed her the most🥺 but well ML didn't tell him either 🤷‍♀️. PS: as FL solves several cases with ghosts and dead, there are some cases in history more creepy than others, so the recommendation is that if you are fearful and do not like it, skip those parts or do not read at night 👻🤫

Don't read this novel if you don't like overbearing and cold 🥶❄️ ml who decide everything and is so wayyy over the top with it! don't give FL the chance to refuse or chose anything !! the only one who decide it and I feel like they got together with him threatening her and coercing her to it! At first FL is strong and cool but then her character development go down 👎👎 in front of ml ! no substance at all! she is meek and just keep nodding her head to everything he said ! i really hate it ! i wish he court her the right way not forcing her , and be patient till she accepts but no!!! just way overbearing and so cold 🥶! i don't know ho people can read about this kind of ml! they are the worst !!!! i don't enjoy force relationship !!! the way the author wrote it do that it can be accept is disgusting 🙂; anyway read on your own risk! first 100 are nice if we excluded the ml !

I have read up to chapter 168 and I feel the male lead is too possessive. Even the female lead thinks she has less freedom. I read this book because I liked the female lead and feel that the male lead isn't really necessary in this book lol. The female lead is truly bad@ss. There is some horror later on in the chapters and is not for the light-hearted. You may get nightmares. Overall not a bad book, but I'm a little bored now. I just want to keep reading about the female lead using her powers. It's really exciting when she's fighting ghosts. Also, I wish the female lead had more interactions with her father, but he's pretty much non-existent from where I am. He shows up sometimes and is mentioned here and there, but he's a really minor character.

I reread this too many times as waiting for the updates. Even though the ML is not likeable I still love the story'. Is there any other Book who have theme like this?

There is no romance, not even a little bit.... the ML is the biggest piece of trash I have encountered in a novel. There is no redeeming or even remotely nice quality about that guy. Frankly as the story progresses after their "breakup" and make up around 1300-1600 he became more and more disgusting. He is a psychopath, selfish and his jealousy is beyond ridiculous. He has no respect for her, and how pushy he is to have a baby regardless that she is in school and wants to wait to graduate.... I can't even begin to describe how frustrating it became... And the fact that FL magically loses all common sense, backbone and IQ when she is with him. Always has an excuse for his behaviour.... I just can't [img=faceslap] . It ruined a lot of the story.... to bad... it really had a lot of potential.

Overall, I like the plot. The way author write the background character is also good however, I wonder what happen to MC father? We barely heard anything from him. I also don’t like the Male Lead, he is so generic. Cold faced, Mr. Perfect, Overbearing CEO. Nevertheless, this novel is a good read

Okay so I actually really like the plot and the MC's cultivation journey and episodes of dealing with ghosts and stuff, but I have mixed feelings reading this because of......... the romance. I don't like the ML. He's your typical cold, domineering, obsessive, possessive ML (why do authors like to write such MLs???). As a male lead I'd say he's a 5/10. I've read worse MLs and I've also read better MLs. I feel like the whole story would be much better if he wasn't in it, to be honest. I don't really think he adds much to the story. He’s just a plot device to make some things convenient with his wealth and power. Another thing about this story is that it's full of highs and lows. It's like being on a rollercoaster. The foreshadowing is... well, it's something. It really makes me worry about what's gonna happen and I have to start speeding up my reading because I'm scared that what I think is gonna happen will happen, lol, and I'll wanna get there faster so that I don't have to be kept in suspense ;p That takes away a bit from my enjoyment of the story, honestly. But overall I still think the plot is interesting and I do like the MC. I've read some reviews that say she can't stand up to the ML and I do agree. She's like mostly scared of him being angry and him showing his stupid cold angry face -.- I wish she would stand her ground against him and just be firm.... TLDR; intriguing supernatural / cultivation plot, unfortunately with an unlikeable ML. It all depends on your tolerance.

If you like adventure story with a bit horror and love journey you can pick up this novel. Its one of good translation story i found and i enjoyed it.

When it comes to the relationship between the two leads I don’t know whether to laugh or cry! 😭😂 Or maybe my internal reaction is a combination of both. The way the two of the get together starts from huge misunderstandings that gives you great comic relief, but at the same time you want to cry for how ridiculous the situation is😫 (I’m serious though). I’m not going to spoil it but the story is great though. The male lead can be a tad much sometimes because he’s dedicated to the FL like crazy. This comes with pros and cons - whether you like him all depends on how yandere or obsessed you like your ML 🤷🏽‍♀️. I’m loving the ghost hunter aspect as well as the relationships and secondary characters. Fun read! 😄👏🏼
