The Secret
Carla took out her cell phone and dialed her Manager, "Where are you? Come to my place now!!"
"I can't, Carla. It's hard to get into your apartment."
"Why so?" This was the first time she heard her Manager disobey. Gosh! Even the Manager, who used to work for her since the beginning of her career, started ignoring her too? She felt betrayed.
"Lots of reporters are camped downstairs. But don't worry, I'll find a way to get to you!"
"WHAT? What happened? Why did they come here?"
Carla was confused. Was this because of the gossip with Evan? Impossible. She remembers, in the past, if something like this happened, all reporters would come to her office instead. This is new. Something may occur and she felt curious.
There was a long silence.
The Manager didn't answer Carla.
"Tell me what happened?" Her voice sounded as stiff as her heart at this moment.
