3 Unfortunate Turn

"Element: Unknown/ None

"Class: Abomination

"Power Rank: Unknown/None

Jed was stunned by the information that was displayed widely for the millions of people gathered to see. Jed's eyes couldn't stop twitching as his pupils narrowed.

"Isn't he from the royal family?!". one person from the crowd shouted.

"Yeah he is.. and look at him, an abomination... he even has no element to control!".

"What a disgrace to this capital!".

"You're are an abomination to your family!".

"You don't even deserve to be the nephew of the king and the descendant of Noel Right!"

The crowd screamed all these hurtful things towards Jed. He couldn't help the tears that fell from his eyes.

"No! This must be a mistake!" Jed screamed

He repeatedly placed his hand on the sphere, over and over and over again, hoping the information will change but the same information still displayed.

"Get out of there you fool, give someone else the chance to see his or her element!", Some one in the crowd exclaimed while throwing a stone at Jed. The crowd followed, picking anything up from the ground and throwing it at the poor boy.

"Guardian Ash, go bring him back here", Levi ordered

"Your order, sir". The guardian obeyed and went forth to bring Jed to his standing place.

"Jed just let it go, that's your fate after all"

"No! It can't be". Jed sobbed.

"Just let it go!". The guardian said, grabbing Jed by the arm and dragging him back.

Jed tried to resist but, it was futile as the guardian was far stronger than him.

"Look at him, what an animal" A boy with Red flashy hair and a hint of golden skin laughed. The crowd laughed together with the boy.

Jed felt useless and like an outcast. He was even made to stand a little further from the king, his father and the guardian.

The only children present, above 15, were called up next to form a line and place their hands on the sphere, in turns.

One after the other, they placed their hands on the sphere. Some were happy when they saw the elements they had an affinity with and their power ranking , others were not.

The element you had determined the job you could do and the power rank you had determined the rank you would have in that field as well as how your pay and demand will be. Air elementalists were mostly public speakers, teachers, or senators. Water elementalists had the same job affiliation as the Air elementalists but were mostly celebrities, actors and models because of their beauty. Fire elementalists were normally mechanics or engineers, police officers, miners, great martial artists or blacksmiths and Earth elementalists were mostly bodyguards, Zoo keepers, constructors and doctors.

So if you had a dream job and your element didn't match, you'll be devastated as well and if you had a dream position in a job and your power rank didn't match, you'll be sober.

Jed envied all of them. Even the ones with low power rankings. At least they had one. Finally, it came to the turn of that boy that mocked Jed and called him an animal.

As he touched the the sphere, his Red flashy hair turned into actual flames as well as his eyes.

"Element: Fire

"Class: Superior

"Power Rank: Above

A huge grin appeared on his face. All the millions of people gathered were surprised at what they saw. One person then started clapping, the another. Soon the whole crowd started booming and cheering for the boy. With that class and power rank, he could become anything. His element didn't matter anymore.

Jed clenched his hand in pain and jealousy. At least if that boy was lower he would have felt better. But now even a peasant is far superior than a royal who is supposed to have a higher class and power rank. He felt like killing himself by any means. He didn't want to see the world again. But, aside himself, the person he blamed the most was Gaea. Why did she bless others but overlook him.

Soon after, the ceremony was done and a feast was held. Some Parents were jubilating with their students, some were indifferent, others were sad. Jed was standing somewhere far away from the feast, away from the crowd, somewhere no one will mock him. The king looked all over for him for a reason he told no one. He finally spotted him sitting on the staircase of the sanctuary, head bent.

"Jed, follow me", the king said.

He did as he was told and followed the king to a dim chamber in the sanctuary.

" Now l know you are sad about the outcome of the sphere information and you don't want to hear anything about it but listen to the consequences" Levi began

"The Council will have to remove you from the royal family".

"Why". Jed asked in a sober tone.

"Because... [sigh] Because you'll be seen as an abomination and a disgrace to the family". Levi breathed.

"But it's not my fault! THEY SHOULD BLAME GAEA!" Jed barked

"Jed.. we are in her Sanctuary remember". Levi reminded Jed. "And I'm not even done" he added.

"They'll send you below the clouds and you'll be even below the peasants. You'll will have no home. Even street dwellers will drive you away. You'll have to exile yourself".

"But my dad said he'll support me no matter what" Jed blurted.

"Still. It will be one against 11 people in the Council." Levi countered.

"Now listen to me. If what I told you actually happens, I want you to go to a town named 'Hiro'. It's not far away from the capital. There is an abandoned dojo there. Go inside and you'll meet a man named Divon. He'll know what is wrong with you. Ask him, do favors for him and when he tells you why, write a letter to me and I'll make a petition to the Council to bring you back. Once they here it's from Divon they'll listen to me and bring you back".

"Really! Thank you very much!" Jed thanked as he tried to hug Levi. But he was stopped dead in his tracks.

"No one hugs the king" Levi joked.

Both of them walked out of the Sanctuary and Levi continued his act, treating Jed like how the others did.

Meanwhile, in the dark chamber they once were in, a Shadowy figure emerged from the shadows.

"Ugh, things have changed here" he said to himself.

"And why did they make that irresponsible 22 year old scumbag king. I preferred Lentil".

"But what pleasant news did I hear? So they are going to Divon's dojo?, Hm... well It's time to go meet an old friend".
