4 The Council’s Decision

The morning sun shone on the capital of the world, blessing all with its glorious golden rays. Everyone was always happy during Sunday, because it was the only day the Sun displayed an anonymous symbol on the biggest statue of Gaea, then granting everyone with Strength and good luck. But not everyone was happy during this faithful Sunday.

Jed sat down at the edge of his bed, with his hand on his head. He couldn't sleep last night after what the king told him. He had gotten bags under his eyes and his eyes became slightly red, with red lines in them.

"So I'm going to be casted out of my family, and sent down below the clouds. I haven't even been to School or any single place alone before! Now I'll have to stay alone away from my father's house! What could I have possibly have done to you Gaea, WHY ME!" Jed spoke to himself, pulling his hair.

He was terrified today might be the day he will be rejected by the counsel and be sent below the clouds. Although today was a day of luck, luck wasn't on his side.

"Jed... your dad is calling you". His mom called outside of his room in a sweet, kind voice.

Moments later, Jed came out of his room, still in his sleeping garment. His mother was no longer by the door, for she had left to go prepare breakfast. With his head bent, Jed walked down the stairs to the living room. His dad was seated, with his head bent as well.

"The council has summoned you before them". Lentil mumbled.

"Why", Jed asked, hoping to hear a different answer.

"It's to inform you on the decision they have made concerning the information the sphere displayed" his father said, while standing up. "Go dress up properly. We have to go now".

What Jed feared the most had befallen him. All what the king said was unfolding right before him and he had no choice but to face his fate.

He did what his dad told him to do and off they went to the Council hall.

Aside the palace, where the council met and advised the king, they had their main building, below the clouds. It was a few kilometers away from the Holy Sanctuary Of Gaea and had a golden statue of Noel Right at the right side corner of the building. The building was made out of white concrete, with Diamond pillars holding it from collapsing. On top of it rooftop, a gold plate rested and in it, the name, 'Council Hall' was carved boldly.

As they got to the entrance, the 12 feet golden doors opened. They then went in and stood in a circular portion right in front of the Council. They were seated on a high table which was in an inward arc shape.

Jed's father immediately teleported to his place at the high table.

"Jed Right, Welcome to the Council Hall". The head of them all who was in the middle coughed.

He bore the name Fiero and was from one of the 12 families. He was also a direct descendant of Noel Right. A Superior class fire user, He was known to be the most arrogant person in the whole capital.

"I hope you know the reason why you are here Mr. Right". Fiero began.

"Yes sir". Jed answered.

"Good.. well we have made our decision and well you are an abomination and a disgrace to the Right family. So, you are no longer a Right meaning, you are no longer a royal. You therefore have no place above the clouds. You will have to leave tonight without any escort. If you fail to comply, I'm afraid we will have to charge you for treason and sentence you to death". Fiero enumerated

"But....." before Jed could finish his sentence, Fiero had cut in. "I'm afraid there is no room for 'buts'. Each and everyone in the Council agreed to the decision. No objection from any. So you'll have to do as said". Fiero snapped

Jed's eyes widened after hearing what Fiero said. No single person in the Council objected, meaning his father was included. Tears ran down his face as he stared at his father. His father did nothing but turn his head away.

"Now leave!" When Fiero exclaimed, a force pushed Jed out of the Council Hall.

The force was too great, he flew right out into a fountain a meter away from the Council Hall.

"Tsk tsk tsk.. today isn't your lucky day young man" a guy said, offering Jed a hand.

Still in shock and pain Jed shook his head and hit the guy's hand with he back of his hand. He then got out of the fountain, dripping wet, and run off to the nearest transportation station.

....

When he got home, his mother had already gotten the message from the Council and looked away when he entered. Noticing his mother's refusal to look at him, he stomped to his bedroom. He picked only half of his clothings, his alarm, his holographic map which pin-pointed where he was and the towns and cities around him and a portable teleportation device he earned on his 14th birthday made by his father's Friend, Zion; the only digital Scientists who built technological devices. After parking the things he needed in a Rubber bag, he left his room.

When he was about to leave his home, Lentil came in. Standing face to face, Jed asked.

"Why... why didn't you support me like you said you would"

"I said I'll support you no matter what ELEMENT you had or power rank.... you have none!" Lentil blustered.

"𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦". Jed mumbled as he walked passed his father. He could no longer yell or argue with his father, it was as though his emotions had left him.

It was already night time when Jed got out. He covered his mouth with a scarf he retrieved from his Rubber bag and activated the teleportation device. It casted out a spiral, black and white portal right where it was directed.

Before leaping into the portal he looked into the crystal violet sky, staring into the beautiful crescent moon and stars.

"This is the last time I'll be seeing you up close" Jed whispered.

He then leaped into the portal.

Spinning and spinning in the almost never ending void, Jed's head was aching and his brain felt as though it was melting. His body felt distorted, sweeping a numb feeling across his body.

Suddenly, the spinning stopped and the white and black background changed to an actual place

[Bang]

Jed hit his head hard on the ground. He couldn't stop rubbing his head as the area that got hit swelled up.

"Ouch!" Jed winced

He looked around to see where he had been teleported to. There was no sign of buildings or people there, no sign of life at all. The whole area around him was a very sandy desert. Puzzled, he tried to reach out for the holographic map in his Rubber bag but, he stopped as he felt the ground vibrate vigorously. Then, out of the blue, a giant worm with a circular mouth emerged from the ground. Within its mouth were razor sharp teeth within razor sharp teeth. His conscience didn't have to tell him to make a run for it.

"AAAAAH!" Jed screamed as the sand worm chased him.

"HELP someone HELP!!" He exclaimed.

It was dawn now and Jed had been running since evening time. Sweat run down his face, soaking his clothes and the Scarf wrapped around his mouth. He turned around to see if he had run ahead of the Sand worm. Fortunately for him, he had run passed the sand worm and couldn't even spot it. He slowed down and laughed to himself.

"Thank goodness. I'm alive". Jed rejoiced

Little did he know he had run into a town and people were staring at him.

He bent down and held his knees to catch his breath. That's when he noticed his environment.

"Oh crap where am I" He asked himself as he reached for his map.

"WOOHOO! I made it". He cheered "Alright, now all I have to is to look for- oh there it is".

He had made it to town Hiro and had spotted the one and only abandoned dojo which stood out among all the buildings around.

With the energy left within him he bolted right into the dojo.

It was dark and spooky within, with almost no source of light inside.

"Hello, anybody here". Jed called as he walked through the only path left that wasn't cracked or destroyed. There were cracks in the wall that looked like they were caused by punches. The place looked as if there was a fight that went down here.

As Jed walked he then came past a body that was mangled.

" OH SHI—!" Jed immediately became speechless as he saw a shadowy figure emerge from the shadows and right in front of his eyes, he saw it take the form and body of an actual human

"Hello... Jed Right". The anonymous, now human said in a cheery but demonic tone.
