Kai's entire body tensed as he prepared to dash toward the monster for the last time. He either defeats the Leviathan in the next clash or he will retreat.

Although his pride would be hurt, Kai knew that his survival was paramount.

He didn't plan on dying only one year after going back to the past. It was simply too wasteful to throw away the second chance he had been given.

'Come on, lizard...'

Feeling dread filling his heart, Kai tightened his grip on his weapon and took a deep breath.

Kai's boots crunched in the icy snow as he sprinted towards the Leviathan. The frigid air cut through his lungs, but the adrenaline coursing through his veins kept him going. The cobalt spear glinted in his hands, its edges worn and chipped from the relentless battle.

Kai, undeterred, sprang back to his feet. His breath hung in the air like a frosty mist as he closed the gap between himself and the Leviathan. Every step felt like an eternity, the frozen ground beneath him threatening to betray his balance.

An abyss-black raven was perched onto a tree watching the scene unfold below. Its azure eyes observed a young man standing before a massive monster, covered in blood and snow.

The man's face was completely covered in blood, his ocean-blue eyes gleaming with a dangerous light.

The raven perked its head with slight interest, its beady eyes fixed on the man's face.

Slightly nodding its beak, the raven cawed twice before taking flight, disappearing into the wintry sky.

Its eyes held a slight amusement within them.
